This being a car related channel I must say that some of the locals are a bit anti car. When living in the Dyer Street, just got back from the pub and heard a bit of banging from outside. Looked through the curtains and saw a person jumping up and down on a car roof. Called the local police who sent their fast response squad from the station 200 metres away arriving at 6am. Didn't feel like getting out of bed so they went away. Went around the police station when I got back from work and they would not take a statement, as only the fast response time could do that and they did not know when he would be working again after the over night dash. The police never contacted me for a statement.
I looked at the car on the way to work and there was a bit of a downward curve in the roof but not as much as I thought there would be. Did not see any reason for the attack such as a reference to "Ciren".

The irony being that the massive doughnut of the GCHQ building is an excellent marker from the air, not just because it's essentially a huge bullseye but because it works perfectly as a visual approach landmark of Staverton airport (recently rather blandly renamed to 'Gloucestershire Airport', which is a shame because there are loads of alternative places to land in Gloucestershire if you're imaginative enough). The doughnut lies perfectly downwind of runway 27, so loads of pilots have been trained to aim their aircraft directly towards the structure as part of the approach sequence.

Bourton - "Bore-ton" Cirencester - "Siren Cess ter" (no doubt everybody will have bored you with the pronunciation so sorry for adding to it)
There has been much argument over the years as to the "source of the Thames". When I was growing up in Witney, it was always "Seven Springs" (junction of the A435 and A436) where seven sources of water empty into a natural bowl shape. This North West of Cirencester and south of Cheltenham. Its 14 miles north of ThamesHead. Which has the better claim? And in fact, do other places have an equal claim? And why is anybody interested?

By Thames head is the Thames and Severn canal (Cotswolds canal) just up in the bank behind it. I’m going to do a video on that section over Christmas.
If you look at my videos I go into the tunnel with Paul Whitewick it’s the other end and pretty cool with the collapsed sections. It’s a big tunnel as it used to take Thames barges which are much wider than a standard boat (15ft wide rather than 7 for a narrowboat)
The prison does a banging bacon butty, proper farm bought bacon, not the thin crap you get in Tescos
You missed a really cool cafe as well, the airport at Kemble has one by the runway and you can also tour a plane.
Stroud also has quite a few cool places, in Brimscombe there’s a place called Stroud brewery, banging grub and decent beer brewed on site right next to the canal.
Can you tell I’m fat and like canals? 😂
