I can see why Gaga took it in a basement club direction. It sounds very much like a 2020 KPop song. It sounds great but it would have sounded of the time whereas the album version sounds timeless. I hope however that Shygirl will use this instrumental.
To be honest. This has better transitions between verses than the álbum versión. This versión is better intrumentally. And the final cut is good too. This has a vibe like tatu with blackpink.

Early 2000s club music was more hip hop r&b influenced. I can see what you mean about the demo sounding like an Ashley Tisdale song but that was more late 2000s.

It sounds much more early 2000s than 2020 k-pop. Honestly when i discovered more early 2000s music I was surprised at how much modern it was and close to nowadays music. Basically a lot of nowadays music (the good music) is recycling older music, and you think this is new but it's not.

Blackpink wasn't labeled as featured artists there and bloodpop brought sour candy to Gaga cause they're Management didn't accept it and Gaga decided to put BP there...
this is a little better in my opinion, but i'm glad they went with the album version because the sound they went with is more timeless and has more replay quality

It's so fun to see how this is really a bp style song, while the chromatica ver sounds so lady gaga-esque. The writers did an amazing job adapting it to Lady Gaga ! Love both versions, but I have a slight preference for the chromatica one, maybe cause it's the more well-produced one and the first ver I heard...I'm sure that if the demo ver had been released on a bp album first I would have been hooked as well.
This was just a pitch for black pink.. I kinda like the girls intro in this more than the album version I THINK. But no gaga 100% made it better in the final.. this has a clean western finish which makes it pleasing to listen too. My issues with black pink after I discoverered last year is... they’re sound is very late. Like their sound is very much dubstep instrumentals with vocals on top. It’s so hard to connect emotionally to them. I like their sad and more slower songs better. But yeah the final version is better... I love love love gagas classic part.. but I wish with this intro from the demo they would include it in the final...
