I normally say that John McVie is so good, you never know he´s there. - Seen them about seven times live - always wonderful.
John McVie is amazing, he needs more appreciation in the world of bass for sure!! 😀👍
I like how you showed w/ and with out pick. I love his bass line towards the end of The Chain. It sounds REALLY cool on guitar!
All of a sudden, I love Alembic basses and idk why. I've known about them for a while. Stanley Clark and Mark King are in my Top 20 lol. I want a MIJ jazz bass first though
Excellent lecture. The quality of your videos is top notch.
I appreciate that so much!
Great video Andrew! One thing I always find funny while watching live versions of this song is how much Stevie looks like she doesn’t want to be there… her stare at Lindsey at the beginning, her deadpan while singing the chorus, it’s all there!
Looking forward to seeing more of these videos!
Hahaha I never really noticed that and now that you say that I can't unsee it!
Yeah. They went through some stuff. Love the song, but those lyrics are nasty...
The guy was a stud. Think about The Chajn bassline. He waits and waits and waits before entering, then just root notes and then…the solo bass intro to the second part. Pure genius.
Nice video. Rhiannon is another great song from that era of Fleetwood Mac where John has some cool bass lines. But my favorite McVie bass lines come from the Peter Green era. Green Manalishi and Black Magic Woman have always stood out to me.
Another great video, thanks so much!
Love this song, when I practice I use it as a warming up song, the difference between verse and chorus fits perfect for that. I missed your analysis for the end of the song. I guess he does some chromatic moving between Dm-Bb-C and his 16th notes strangely turns into some kind of galloping... sadly I don't trust much my hearing... Someone else listens the same?
Everybody is so underrated. But the most underrated is me.
Great vid. These songs would not flow so well without John.
No. The answer is a firm no.
The song is super boring dont care about the baseline
@_Everyone__ You obviously don’t care about the bass line, since you can’t even spell it correctly.
