These kinds of problems are great ones to layer as models for SAT questions: Find the absolute value of the product of the roots for the following quadratic equation.
PyroX Because signs tend to be problematic on graphing calculators, and given that you need to set boundaries for both zeroes it can become easier for the calculator to understand that a negative zero is also not positive.
How to see these points as fractions? I have a TI-84 Plus CE and it is driving me crazy that I cant see plot points on trace or table as fractions. Thank you
When he said -2, 3 then we want to get a confirmation, because he got those numbers visually (by looking at the graph and counting the short lines). By confirming with the calculator, we can see -2, 3 shown on the graph, because it could have been other numbers. So basically it’s just to make sure by using the calculator itself following the steps.
Thank you so much, our teacher did not provide this info and won't let us use demos so this is a life saver

I have a test tmrw, tysm I forgot how to factor .
I now know how this works, but why can’t it just be as simple as pressing zero and the displaying the intersects? There are just 2 of them

What does he mean by "get a conformation from the calculator?"
