Same error came about when I initially entered the program, even with making the correction, changing 5 to 3. Somehow I mistakenly erased the first part of the program (menu ...). It left me with Label 1 on down. I reentered the menu part with the correction of 3, and the program works just fine. So, thank you very much. I really appreciate your videos.
hi, I entered everything the way you did, but it says ERROR SYNTAX. looking back at the details, does a space between the number and equal sign make a difference? also should we use C^2 ( i cant find the ^, i used the xsquared instead) just trying to find out what i did wrong.
Hi Mr. Wilson, I followed your directions to the letter and like one of your commenters below, got the "ERROR:SYNTAX" despite doing and redoing this 5 times. Very frustrating. I would appreciate any guidance you could provide.
Do you have your Mode set to REAL numbers? If you look at my video, you will see the word REAL (4th word from the left) at the top of the calculator screen. If not, press the mode button near the top and set the calculator to REAL. I'm not sure if this is the problem, just trying to think of some trouble shooting solutions. Also, what numbers are you trying to enter for your right triangle?
@@VentanaMedia when I want to try mine, it says ERROR: SYNTAX check all arguments entered. press + on menu item for catalog help. I checked the program so many times and the 6 things up on the calculator for the mode is the same as you too. But still does not work. I don't know what I did wrong.
You need to show how to program for Casio graphing calculators also. Not everyone uses the TI84 CE. Some of us use the Casio CG50 which is the equivalent of this TI. Thank you.
That worked perfectly! We are always using the pythagorean theorem. Thank you for this and May God Bless you !
I can not express how helpful this was

You've earned yourself a new subscriber, just from this one video!!! :-)
it says syntax error even with the a+bi changed, what am I doing wrong?
Also is there a way to get answers in square root?
How do you get the right arrow symbol before the S? At 4:51?
That is the "sto" button which is just above the "ON" button in the lower left.
@@VentanaMedia thank you!!
Hit the sto button on your TI -84 plus ce device
can you make one to simplify radicals?
My calculator screen clears right after the answer appears. how do I get it to stay on the answer screen without clearing?

for the C^2, you just push the button that looks like ^ to get ^. Just so you know
Thank you! This was very helpful!

Robert Wilson yes my calculator was in real mode and the numbers I entered were the same ones you entered to test the program
