I bought the Starter box first. I Decided on doing British and US force. I picked up the British Navy Set (huge discount), and then the Constitution, and Essex. The Brigs and Frigates of the starter set with the Constitution and Essex make up my US force, and the British Fleet is my British force. It seemed the most economical way to go.
@@CounterProductiveGames Painting is going to be the biggest problem. i wish they used plastic masts for the resin ships. I hate the idea of bent masts. I might have to experiment on using plastic masts from similar size ships on my US resin frigates. I am going to experiment with contrast paints on my Oak and Iron ships and decide if I want to use them on the Black Seas ships.
@@blkjet117 oh yeah, I struggled with those pewter masts. In constant fear of bending them and never got them as straight as I'd like. I wish all their kits were plastic, would be worth collecting more at that point for me.
whilst i understand about the comments on metal components those who played 28mm and 15mm Napoleanics, Ancients or more or less any other period prior to last 5 years will be used to dealing with metal components..muskets, bayonets, spears..only really pikes etc are in steel and plastic pikes esp are horrible

Wow, nice. That is a lot of ships to start with, have fun putting it all together. Building them has been the best part for me!

I've been spoiled by plastic, but I am finding more and more that metals seem to the be norm. It's all good, I'm getting used to metals :)
