I'm from China. Although there are many fantastic WC3 players in my country and Korea, I really more appreciate the way the European players play the game. It's very hard to describe in words how they are different from Asian players--but their games are often more fun, imaginative and entertaining. Grubby is by far the greatest WC3 player in my opinion.
The hum, orc and ne player in China and Korean used different ways to fight Happy and european players can't fight Happy. Euro player 's tactics are few. ex the european hum always used rifleman fight UD and never try others way
1:12:47 ... what a madman he is. berseker dies, skeleton gets summoned to prevent the new surround and opened it up right away to free the DK. i had to rewind and watch it again to see what he did there - he saw, processed and acted right in those 3 seconds INSANE
You messed up the timestamp, it's 4 minutes later :P I noticed it too when I watched for the first time and loved it. Insane play and awareness! Grubby made a nice play earlier in this fight too, he sent his TC away for a moment but also sent a headhunter to follow him, just in case he'd need one to block the way. It's the small details!
@@aK1baby that skeleton actually wasn't summoned to ''prevent the new surround'' but it was summoned by Dark Ranger's Arrow cause he was obvsl focusing the HH with all he had. The Skele actually blocked him for a split second until he moved it too. So ur half right, yes, the Skele prevented the surround, but the skele wasn't summoned to prevent it ;D
I don’t know about Happy, but Grubby made me nervous ... It was a super freaking series. Grubby is a very cool player, he will always be in the Hall of Legends ... Congratulations Happy on a terrific victory, Congratulations Grubby on a terrific game. It was very emotional!!!
Sick series. I thought Grubby had a good shot at winning this beforehand. Some people counted him out against Happy, but remember that Grubby was once the best player in the world back in the day. No surprise to see him playing so well here with some practice and dedication. I think Game 4 was his chance to close it out, perhaps killing the DK when he had the opportunity would've swung the outcome. I also think he could have preserved his invuln potion(s) a bit more on TC instead of using them to break the first silence, but maybe that's totally wrong. In game 5, Happy came out with the old school slow fiend build to establish map control as a counter to Grubby's style. It would've been interesting if Grubby decided to play a more standard Blademaster/Orb/Tier 3 strategy on Echo Isles which is strong against the slow fiend build. Insane micro as always from Happy in multiple critical fights throughout the match. Really impressive to stay focused and come back from an 0-2 deficit. Game 4 was the best game IMO, it had many tense moments and extremely close calls from both sides. Specifically the sequence where Happy's DK broke out of the surround and narrowly escaped (all while still manually microing his statue). Great series, and great cast as usual!
Summarizing. amazing atmosphere. Lots of people - sometimes it reached over 8500 thousand live. Neo & Remo, as always, the highest form of commentator. Thank you with all my heart for the work you do. Match at the highest level. Grubby was close to winning 3: 1. Happy will draw conclusions, spun up, played confidently. I don't see another option like a rematch :)
Game 4 probably the best game I’ve seen in a very long time. Great micro. Insane APM by both sides. Coming down to fractions of a second plays by both Grubby and Happy. Brilliant work.

Happy doesn't get enough credit for his strategic plays, he changed his strategy to aggressively pressure TC creeping for game 3 and 4. Grubby's use of SH second was an attempt to counter Happy 's counter.
Same in WGL. Happy often had a hard time when he got caught by surprise. But if you let him time to adapt, he will punish you with his flawless execution.

@@Rujenz7 a tree has 50 hp in w3. When the ghoul attacks,it deals 2 damage,but gain no lumber. When harvest,it makes 2 damage also,but gain lumber. happy counts the hits to return the exact lumber and waste no time to create space for the shop
Fantastic games. Grubby was in a thin hair from victory in 4 game. It's always amaze me, how he plays with one of the greatest esport player in the world, previously not so confident and now like truly equal, even if he long ago not playing tournaments by himself. Grubby shown marvelously grown as a player. And of course congrats for Happy. So unreal comebacks, effective play and even change of strategy, all for deserved win. Hope he had as much fun as he could, i'm sure Grubby make him take a sweat and get nervous many times. Thank you so much also to Neo and Remo, your commentary make this encounter so bright and exiting, that i could never anticipate to hear and see this games more amazing anywhere else. Before watching, I was curious about how can a retired player plays against a current professional player. Wonderful gameplays. Grubby, one of the three warcraft gods(and sky, moon), always amazing.

Sooo impressive to see Grubby come soo close to beating happy - I swear Foggy has been trying this for YEARS but never comes this close (although there were some very close ones lol). I think if Grubby took WC3 seriously again he would be a HUGE threat to everyone. The guy literally just stream trolls and does meme specs.. only plays semi-serious maybe once a week. And here he is giving the Happy (arguably the best current wc3 player) a REAL tough time!
@@themukbros8518 Sorry, but that's wrong. Foggy fought MANY close 2-3s and in one of their recent series he was WINNING game 5, before Happy's insane comeback. Also Foggy won at least 1 bo3, and eliminated Happy in some bo1's.
GAME # 4 The Decider. i wonder, how does it feel, when you sit, look at your monitor seeing your first hero being focused attacked by all enemy units....and what does Happy do, finds hurt TC, kills him, then TP alive. how crazy must you have to be to pull that off.
As you might know, this WGL will be held online because of covid. Happy didn't participate and said the games won't be fair for Europeans due to hight ping from Asian servers.
About speed of execution and micro, we know already that Happy is one of the best in the world. But I would say without a doubt that his best asset is his mental toughness. Mentally he is maybe the best in the world. And at the highest level, that's what makes the difference and makes him special, one of the champions. It's hard if not impossible to beat him with a standard game, micro game or mental game. Only strategy and smart games can beat him.
I have been out of the game scene for a while but what happened to w3 reforge? Last time I saw it was launched and it was a complete let down, but it was launched nonetheless... was it cancelled? nobody is playing it?

03:47 & 22:19 Undead is OP I think, leave alone Frost Wymrs, they could build Fiends in less than 4 minutes, with range piercing typed attack and anti air ability that is almost equal to Raiders in Orc which requires tier 2. Grubby's Orc is just in another level.
What a great series! One question: is it really worth to pop an Invulnerability on the TC when silenced just for one stomp? He is so vulnerable to nukes without an invul :O (game 4)
i guess he wants to make sure that he gets 2-3 "save" stomps in, no matter what. if you start the fight and wait for silence to run out, your units are already damaged quite a bit (tc as well). so he might have to pull his tc away with a stomp left and that would suck a lot more.
Happy is a build breaker. Orc tier three zerker transition, boom frenzy ghoul production. Grubby build, boom tet fiends and late tech. Human rifle push, boom mass aboms. He's unstoppable.
