Love it, literally did this, this morning with owners and their young dog. We worked on the jumping on our meeting first although used a No verbal correction and rewarded all 4 paws on the ground and or a voluntary sit, the pup caught on really quickly and we moved onto recall using a long line. Again the puppy caught on really quickly and the best part was when the pup ran into towards a section of the training field where other dogs were working and without the usual panic that often happens in owners she used her best Disney voice and the pup turned around and happily came galloping back all proud of himself.

How to train 3 puppies 6 mo old with 12 older dogs (2.5yo to 12 yo)? I see that they learn with the older dogs as well. Yes, I have 15 dogs, all large breeds. Puppies are male and female GS and a male Kangal Shepherd.

You and some other friends videos, almost always use biddable breeds in your videos.
I own working livestock guardian dogs, stubborn independent breeds. I have a Great Pyrenees, a Boz shepherd and just got a Karakachan puppy. He is the smartest, stubborn LGD I have had.
I would like to see someone of your caliber, make some videos of LGD breeds.

What is the point of trying to find and work with breeds that many have never heard of?

    • @OffGridDogs

LGD are my favorite breed and they are not good pets for most typical dog owners. Because most dog owners have poor one dimensional relationships with their dogs and dog training is just a “bandaid for this issue. You bring up a great point that most dog trainers don’t make videos with these breeds (Larry Krohn even announced he will no longer work with them) and that is because their genetics are so strong to be independent (thousands of years to make their own decisions as opposed to say a GSD a few hundred years to work with instruction) the “dog training bandaid” gets exposed for what it is with these LGD breeds where the relationship and cooperation are the way to be successful.

@@michaelcurtis2373 only LGD breeds are breed to live with and protect livestock 24/7.
Ranchers and farmers know these breeds.

Probably b/c his goal is to train HOUSE PETS to behave well so that they are able to live healthy, happy relationships with their owners and don't end up in a shelter.
What kind of help are you looking for in LGD breeds? Aren't they bred to be independent thinkers (stubborn?) as they are left alone to guard livestock for extended periods of time and not to be controlled by humans as a well-behaved stay at home pet?
What is your intention here? Is it just to make a comment that Robert and other dog trainers only train "biddable" dog breeds? If so, that was completely unnecessary. A lot of people have been able to train their "biddable" PET dogs b/c of Robert and other dog trainers' content that they provide FOR FREE to many dog owners, resulting in that many dogs saved from ending up in shelters or abandoned.
