    Thank you very much for that helpful tutorial. I've knitted 3 pairs of socks so far but only on 9inch circular needles. I really want to use magic loop, but it has always looked very complicated.

    I’m looking forward to trying this on my next pair of socks. Thanks Jana, you’re a natural teacher 👍🏻

    I tried dpn's and just couldn't get it. I learned to magic loop from one of your other videos and now I have 1.5 sock cuffs done. When I get the 2nd sock cuffs done I will work on both socks at the same time (separate needles though) to try to get them to match.
    *Side note: I finished my first big project (harvest cardigan by tin can knits) by watching your videos!) Thanks for sharing your talent! 🤗

    Hi Jana. I'd tried several times and completely given up on magic loop because of the mess left when changing needles. I'd even bought myself an expensive set of ChiaoGoo needles for fingerings weight sock knitting using magic loop but had to go back to DPNs. I've just cast on a pair of bulky winter socks and knit 10 rounds using your instructions and......would you believe they are perfect!!! It's the tug on the second stitch which was the secret. You're amazing!! Can't thank you enough X

      @@PurlTogether will do. I deleted FB again for being FB but will post in the Ravelry group. Just went back to my Festive socks and knit 2 rounds using magic loop - because I can! 80 stitches on 4 2mm needles was a drain on motivation. Thanks again

    You were recommended to me by a friend, I’m a new knitter, I can use dpns ok, but I really wanted the ability to use the magic loop (less hassle, cheaper, etc) plus I want to do two at a time socks... and less hassle for hats etc. I’m saving this. Thanks.

    Wonderful tutorial. I love magic looping my socks. I’ve used magic loop for hats also but there is a technique that I struggle with. Have you seen or knit a hat using a needle that is longer than 16”? I’ve seen people knit hats on larger needles but they only have one loop. I think they called It something like a continuous loop or moving loop? That way you’re never doing the magic loop shuffle. I’ve tried a few times but I could never get the hang of It.

    • @PurlTogether
      @PurlTogether  4 роки тому

      Yes, it's basically just using half a magic loop at the beginning of the round. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Jana
    This is my first time knitting a pair of socks I’ve been using your videos on magic loop to help me and I find them so useful.
    This is probably a silly question but how do you know when both sides are even with stitches before you start another row with a different stitch?
    Thank you for your help and videos.

      I know which end is the beginning of the round. You might find it helpful to designate that with a locking stitch marker.

    It seems so easy, yet no matter what I do, my stitches always get twisted on the 1st row, even if it's a sock, I know it's so simple 😥😞Great tutorial though 😊💞

    • @PurlTogether
      @PurlTogether  4 роки тому

      Do you mean that each individual stitch is twisted? or that the cast on is twisted when it's joined in the round?

    I don’t have any 40” but I do have 32”... will they work for magic loop as well?

    • @PurlTogether
      @PurlTogether  4 роки тому +1

      They will, depending upon the project and the number of stitches you've cast on. You just want the cable to be relaxed.

      Well, I’m working on socks, and doing one at a time bc I just haven’t ventured into “2 at a time” land yet! Lol!!! So I’ll definitely try the magic loop... thanks!
