Things I like about your video - no artificial painted nails straight from the salon, no annoying background music, no unnecessary chit chat. Instead informative, easy to follow, pleasant voice speaking straight to us.

Hey there Wyoming hard working lady! Great helpful tutorials! I graduated from Casper, WYO. My hands are hard working also and I like seeing real hands not painted up! I am on here just refreshing my memory on making the socks and came across your tutorials. How fun to hear you talk to us while you knit! Its like having a friend over to show you how to do this. I have never done fancy socks like yours and stick to mainly the ribbed and simple knit style. You have made me want to do a fancy sock next time!

OMG! I did it. I made my first pair of toe up socks. Scrap wool yarn. Not enough so they became shorty socks. I watched these three videos several times... go... stop... go... stop. I'm hooked. I've always done cuff down, heavy 4ply hunting socks, but this is amazing. I kept trying them on as I went. Thank you. Thank you,
    . Thank you.

I also wanted to say I am so glad that you did it in regular sock yarn because I have watched videos of people who have done it in the bigger yearns and I'm trying to do it in a tiny sock yarn with tiny needles and not knowing how it's really supposed to look and so I appreciated that about your video that you now have a finished product that it will be similar to what I will finish when I get done with my sock and I appreciate that

Nice sock! One thing I have learned is that both balls may not have the same yardage. So I work both socks at the same time with two sets of needles [ toe/toe....foot/foot etc] and when I get to the tops, I ensure that both legs end with the same number of inches, so I don't have to rip one leg back if it's going to end up longer than the other.] Thanks for tutorial!

Podcasts are a fairly new discovery for me. I just came across this 3 part series of yours and have learned much. I've been knitting socks for a number of years, but am self taught and very limited in my skills and knowledge. With work and family duties, I don't have time to spend visiting my local yarn shops. Also, I don't know anyone else who knits, so I am alone in my craft. Podcasts, such as yours are of great help for me. Your customizable sock series has provided me with valuable knowledge. I am so grateful for crafter such as yourself who take the time to make these podcasts and share your knowledge. You are helping me to build my knowledge and skills. THANK YOU
BTW, I am a registered nurse, constantly washing my hands with soaps that are damaging to my hands, then chores at home further ruin my hands. Your hands are beautiful

Thank you hugely for this. I am new to socks and am happy with the German short row heel but I really like your toe and especially the bindoff. Also your company. You remind me of my Aunt Flora when she lived on the farm in Kansas although I am older now than she was then. I've lived in Europe early 30 years and there are plenty of American voices about but nobody who sounds so much like home!

My fingers also crack in the winter. Heels also. The BEST thing I've used is Corona ointment from Tractor Supply. My foot doc recommended it years ago. Since then tho they have changed the formula. It used to be mostly lanolin now it's too lotion- y. SO I ordered some 100% lanolin on Amazon and it really really works. Use it at bedtime and wear socks or mittens on your hands. You're a GREAT TEACHER😊

Honestly I hadn't even thought about your hands except that you are able to get that needle into those teeny little stitches!
    No apologies necessary.

Thank you, this was very clear and easy to follow. I will try this with my next pair of socks. Can I do two at a time with this method?

Sure! You can check out the Scatterby TAAT videos. You may need to separate them for the heel flap / gusset, if you find it more comfortable to do so.

O'Keefe's working hands works! It's dry and cold here in NW Iowa and I have the same problem. I also use Gold Bond healing lotion off and on all day.
