Mat’s in a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, and this time he’s facing off against an epic Suzuki Hayabusa.
Let’s kick off with the stats of the Aventador. It’s packing a glorious 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that can deliver 770hp & 720Nm. This SVJ tips the scales at 1,525kg, and costs an eye-watering £350,000!!!
The Suzuki Hayabusa, unsurprisingly, is significantly lighter than its supercar opponent - and it costs a bit less, too! It weighs just over 260kg, and costs about around £17,000. In terms of power, the Suzuki Hayabusa can put down 195hp.
So, will the £350k supercar beat the £17k superbike over the standing quarter-mile?? As ever, there’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Any recommendations for other channels? Currently with Throttle House, Mischa Chardouin, TG, Carwow and Carfection plus all the main motorcycle ones. Not come across a decent one that combines both yet...
Mad respect to the Suzuki Hayabusa. That bike shape were design to ensure that the front wheel won't go flying easily when being push to the max.

As an owner of a 2022 Black and Gold Hayabusa ...This gives me great joy ... the rider didn't even use launch control!! THAT BIKE IS A BEAST and a great joy to ride, so docile it literally will scare you just how fast it can go from easy to flat out stupid in just a few seconds if that long ... Every ride brings me home with a perpetual grin and my wife knows i've been tearing up the streets ...Rev on the redline comes to mind

Twice. Not only that he knows the delay in the lambo launch so you can see his head move in some vids where hrs practically dumping the brake on the 2. This is why at santapod etc youl get either booed off of or stopped from racing if you do repeated jumps. They will show you the footage too from through your windscreen to show thar you are purposely leaving early. Then it will be you leaving early with a temp ban.

The new model is same as the old model. They've not even changed the thing. A stock R1,zx10,gixxer1,rsv4 and s1000rr can mug a stock busa
I do like the new back end, when it first appeared I hated the rear, the seat is still more superbike setup though, my Missus loved the Blackbirds seat as it was more comfortable, the new Busa does look a lot sleeker than i remember the old one, those standard exhausts though 🤮 I get the be quiet and all that but they are ugly, they'd be the first thing I'd change.

Well you can't really beat the insane power-to-weight ratios that superbikes have. I wanna see them drag race with a Lamborghini Sesto. That would be insane!
Sesto elemento is slower than an SVJ so it would have the same outcome

@@ithinkimlucas1366 The SVJ produces more power ie 770HP @ 1525kg than the Sesto which has 562 HP but it is also much lighter at only 999 Kg. Lambo claims a 0-100kmph for the Sesto of only 2.5s but I wanna see Matt test it out to check it lol.

Yea the Lambo would have eventually driven around him. For bikes, Hayabusas are pretty slippery but it's still like pushing a brick aero-wise. Not to mention the 186 mph limiter.

@@ytsux9259 demon,720s,765lt,turbo s, p1,chiron all run mid 9s and the new rimac nevera runs 8s. All of these cars listed about run quicker than any litre bike.

H2R : Struggling to get a perfect launch. sometimes wheelie occurs when the rider can't get a good traction which leads to 4wd lambo to taking over.
Hayabusa : *Fine, I'll do it myself...*
H2R is 310 horsepower
Hayabusa 187 horsepower
You can't keep H2Rs nose down without an extended swing arm.
Same will be the case for a turbo busa. You'll have to use a longer swing arm for traction.
An R1 even a big massive 3 seater sofa Vmax can beat an H2R quarter mile. They just ain't built for it. Once it's moving though... yeah forget about it as its toasting you.
@@rayparthapratim yeah I seen a Vmax with a can and the Vboost switched on manually absolutely mug an H2R with a 9.3 at santa pod. The dude was huge too probably 6'4" and 19-20stone. I'm 6'2" and 15st and felt small next to him. The thing was rapid it wasted everything on the day was the fastest thing there by 0.3sec

Surprised they use a single clutch on these new lambos. Surely they can't be as fast as duel clutch.
@@willspeakman2461 Aventadors are not built to be fast cars Especially drag race cars if you ask me, I mean its a very fast car but Aventador compromised speed for so many things like weight, wide body, single clutch transmission, looks etc.....
I think Aventador is all about Looks, Sound, Emotions, handling, Show off (not to be taken in a bad way) and a statement or a message conveying car to the neighbors that you have made it in life, speed is the last priority for an aventador according to me but still hell of a fast supercar.....

Chris is an amazing rider! Definitely knows how to get the best from a bike, if you beat a bike with Chris riding then sorry but the cars faster and has nothing to do with the lack of skill from the rider… however the Busa is notorious for being a easier bike to launch, just the matter of holding on after that 😂 great race! 👍

There are folk doing late 9s on stock buses at santa pod mate.
When a new one came out in the late '90s, it was already able to get high 9s in the 1/4mi.

that was fantastic after reading all the specifcations of performance which in numbers would seem the other way : ) then watching to confirm my thoughts, increadable, saw something similar on topgear porsche & another vehicle car mustang farri or mercedes carnt remember few yeras ago now though you would think the same, outcome though wasnt the one first impressions are not the real case at all : ) very interesting mass volume verse light weight bit like boxing : ) no newtons laws of physics i guess. That was awesome to watch, cool and thank you for sharing this exercise

Bike is a Landyacht for a motorcycle and has "only" 190 hp and still beat a lambo svj . There is nothing that beats motorcycles in price / fun ratio
