Ray stevenson performance was phenomenal that even his facial, body posture shows emotion and acting that shows he is experience and every gesture has a meaning to it that adds more detail to him
What an awesome video. My only gripe with Ahsoka is that we didn’t get nearly enough of Baylan and Shin, their backstories and their plans and how they came together. I hope Lucasfilm and Filoni sees their potential and really enhances it to the fullest
He’s not sith or Jedi he’s something more, his padawan, I hope remembers his teachings and doesn’t fall to far to the dark, power isn’t everything, but what he seeks is far more than the Jedi and Sith could ever be

The introduction of Baylan & Shin was by far the absolute best part of the Ahsoka series whether you loved it or thought it was meh. Star Wars fans will be talking about Baylan forever, as well as the legendary portrayal of the character by Ray Stevenson.
Same here. In this case, it doesn't seem like it would be disrespectful to Ray. He portrayed a phenomenal character. But his story isn't done yet and it would seem more bothersome to have him disappear entirely without a good conclusion.

Nicely done man! Not gonna lie, 0:56 - 0:59 was a really good thought ! It feels hard to make an edit for such uncompleted arc, but you did a good job portraying their dynamic!
Thanks! Although a bit rushed towards the end, I think they had a pretty good arc of going their separate ways that contrasted with Ahsoka & Sabine. Obviously the whole Mortis thing was left very open-ended though.

Would have quite happily watched an entire series dedicated to Baylan and Shin - interesting that the two characters from Ahsoka who were not in Rebels actually turned out to be the most compelling.
Man... what a pair. I hope they don't end up killing Shin later on. I feel she has decent potential. Due to Ray Stevenson's unfortunate passing, I have a feeling Baylan's fall will come sooner than later. His character's PTSD over the loss of the Order certainly hits deeply. What the Order once stood for, the ideals the Jedi were once more in line with before they got more dogmatic of course, which Baylan also recognized. Either way, we'll see what it is Baylan has planned, or how Shin will go about her future plans since Thrawn's forces had to leave without her.

Baylan Skoll is the most interesting Star Wars character we’ve had in a long time. Ray Stevenson, before he passed away, did such a wonderful job making him a compelling villain. It’ll be interesting, to see how the show will adapt to Ray’s passing.

His connection with the force transcends simple light and dark…he embraces its knowledge and its deeper connection to existence. I loved his concept and I will so miss the man who portrayed him.
Baylan said he wanted to know the beginning of the galaxys conflict, in order to end it, and considering the Mortis confirmations it means hes going to ask Abeloth and/or Anakin to send him back in time, through the world between worlds, to the first jedi, where he'll be in Mangold's first jedi film
In less than three minutes you accomplished what the show failed to do in my opinion: You made Shin and Baylan's story significant and showed just how many similarities between them could be found.
Dude, how crazy would it have been if the sequels were never released. I'm not even like blindly hating them for no reason, I mean literally maybe just released at a later point in time. The shows, all this build up for the rise of a more powerful order, imagine these shows except we actually don't know what's coming. The first order would have felt like this grand reveal of massive proportions, not some lazy writing and copy of the empire

I know I've asked this in another video but how did you pull of mixing in the lightsaber noises and everything else? I tried to see what I could do with removing them music from the background using some different sites online but the noise effects also get removed with it.
Sorry, this is a very late reply. But what I mean by "separate sfx" is that they are sound effects that I have which I've used to sound design the video.

Though the editing appears technically flawless to me and the concept is *imaginative* by taking voice lines from the original script and re-arranging them in a wider context as characterizing aphorisms, the video would strike more conclusive if it were focused solely on Baylon Skoll - instead of trying to illustrate 'a drift' in his relationship with the apprentice -Zannah- Shin Hati. From 1:50 onward, it likely doesn't resonate, anymore because the first - and possibly only - season of the show doesn't display on screen the history of Hati's character - whether Baylon e.g. sincerely educates (e.g. like a daughter) or manipulates her (reflected e.g. in her surprise in face of Baylon's apparent indifference to Wren's fate - there's also something in her body language - like her freezing up when taken by surprise in a fight - that reminds of abuse). So far, there's no lore material to go by other than Filoni's repeating reference to Norse mythology in the character names (Skoll and Hati) and the end credits (planet names in Norse runes and wolves chasing stars), thus obscuring the history between the master and apprentice. If this fragmented 'fizzling out' is edited toward a *conclusion* - possibly more concise and profound than a consumerist show's script - the video editing will be technically on the same level as Ridley Scott's vignette *'Meet David'* (2012)...
