Hi, I am a new content creator and a brand recently reached out to me to do a review video on their product. They asked me to provide my honest opinion so they are not paying me. They will be sending the product to me. But they asked if they can use my video on Amazon. Now I am confused. Should I ask for paid promotion or not? Is it even fair since I only have 1100 subs and I started my channel 2 months ago.. please advice. Thank you.
From a brand new content creator THANK YOU for this. I’m a full time med student whoes page blew up out of no where and I’m gunna use this information to help with tuition
Thank you so much for this wonderful video!!!! Wow. You are amazing to share SO MUCH knowledge. My husband just said “who is that? that person sounds so intelligent and confident!” I took so many notes and I am praying that God would help me book deals and amazing partnerships through learning this. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.
Great content. what I love, when you talk is very clear like a crystal clear. and you are not fast to talk. Perfecf.thank you big help all the information
I love to learn about sponsored posts! I like the series you have going on your TikTok about it :) I'm interested in negotiating rush fees and content rights more often because I'm tired of getting taken advantage of lol. I still have a lot to learn. This was very informative, and you did a great job breaking down all of the terminologies! I remember looking at my first contract so confused, haha! I like to approach my posts in an editorial style as well, so we have that in common :)
I definitely feel that sense of fear or doubt as a woman with negotiating, but I love the point you make about a brand approaching US and finding value in us already when pitching US a campaign idea.
I think it is all very subjective. I have worked in the area of good faith. 1 small business provided me with products that would be beneficial for my content. Another small business paid a monthly fee, but was able to bail at any moment. The bottom line is it is very hard to quantify how much you can help a business, little or a lot. Is it eyeballs the company is looking for? Actual purchases of the product directly from your content? it would have been nice if you gave a price range for you tubers to ask for
Great video very helpful since recently brands keep approaching me in n Tiktok and I had no knowledge of how to even respond to their email and negotiate but your videos are helpful
Total engagement on what TIME FRAME? 7 days? 1 month? The engagement rate will be sky high if you add engagements for 3 months. The rate does not mean anything if everybody calculates it differently.
I usually default to the last 30 days because that's the most recent rate. You're right in that it doesn't help the brand if your engagement was 20% months ago but is 5% now. When in doubt, just clarify the time frame of the rate with the brand so everyone is on the same page.
Oh boy! So if someone with 10,000 followers would only charge $100 what in the world would us newly monetized influencers charge? Or just gifted? Do you have pricing for truly small channels being approached?
I think when to start charging is different for everyone! For me, I've been a creator for 10 years and have 13K but I'm usually charging more because I have a background in it. I have an updated pricing guide here if you want to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/nxpLgpGXle0/v-deo.htmlsi=l1_Z-Aw6GKOsv_WD
Hi! This video is super informative so thank you! I’m a relatively new influencer and I was just offered my first paid collaboration. I’m unsure of how much I should be charging for a UA-cam video as I have a quite a small following (almost 3k subscribers). I also calculated my engagement percentage according to the likes and comments on all of my UA-cam videos and my subscribers and it was 141%, comparing that to the statistics in your video and some other statistics I researched, it doesn’t seem right? I just don’t want to undersell myself or seem like I’m charging the brand too much, some advice would be appreciated!
Hey Gisselle thank you for watching! I have an updated video with pricing advice here that I think might help: ua-cam.com/video/nxpLgpGXle0/v-deo.htmlsi=4_Wi6zbQkzruz5iy In general I find most websites tend to share the low end of pricing so I’d trust your gut above all else 💕
Your videos have been very helpful for me with figuring out this whole process for brand deals and sponsors! Would you consider a brand asking for me to post an IG Reel as a collaboration, so that it shows on both our pages, them asking for usage rights? I'm new to all this so any advise is greatly appreciated.
So glad to hear! For me it would depend if they're planning to boost it and put ad spend behind it. If it's an organic social repost, I'd factor a small cost into your rate but if they wan to put run ads on it that is known as whitelisting (some people call it allowlisting) and that is something I'd charge more for.
Hi thank you! It depends on your agreement with that particular brand partner. I personally don't remove links as part of a sponsorship but some brands may write in their contract that you have to leave them up for at least a year, etc.
Hey 😊😊, loved the insight on this. My question is to do with hiring people to work with, specifically a photographer : upon disclosing that you are working on a post for a particular brand, do you pay them a one time fee or do they co-own rights to the content (pictures) of the brand's products? Hope that made sense
Thank you so much for this information, I got my first approach for a collaboration today and I don’t even know where to start with the pricing, they asked for my media kit and rates, do I include my rates on the media kit or separately? 😅
Keep rates separate from your media kit as they’ll be different for every collaboration! If possible try to get their budget first. I have a video about media kits too if you haven’t seen that one yet. Thanks for watching!
Hey Austen, very informative video thank you! I am aiming to get into the TikTok Brand game. Do you know long does it usually take to get paid out by brands for brand deals? On average...or with your experience...
@@AustenTosone great :). So it's not typical to have to wait months to get Paid for a post? Seems like they aim to be pretty fair with timing of payout..
Thank you so much. I have questions. if the person is exclusively handled by management in two years, exclusive, what are the did advantages? and advantages? I just need to know? thank you so much.
When a brand reaches out and ask for rates/expectations. Should I provide the scope of work/what theyll receive (tiktok vid) and provide rate at same time? Or let them provide the scope of work
I’m very new to this . So sorry for asking but could you actually tell us how much are these rates ? I really don’t know how much money to tell them . Don’t want to sell myself too cheap cause I don’t know the rates . Thanks in advance and greetings from Spain
I wish I could but it will truly vary for every creator depending on the deliverables! I wrote a few HuffPost articles where influencers shared baseline rates. I’d suggest starting there!
Same here! My son is a micro influencer and he asked me to help him negotiate with brands. We dont have any idea to tell the brand. So I called a friend of mine whose daughter is a megainfluencer. The daughter suggested that we could charge for the asked tiktok post and three insta stories 500€. I wish there's a concrete guide where you can see exactly your rate.
