what I like to do to get the sweet oatmeal without adding sugar, is to blend some ripe bananas with just a little water or plant milk and pour this over the oatmeal. It sweetens it right up
I was just about to comment and say THANK YOU for showing that you use a microwave, and then you went on to say how they aren't harmful!! Part of sticking to this lifestyle (especially if it's a drastic change) is keeping it simple and realistic! I used to feel like I was in the wrong because all of the healthful and pretty youtubers who make everything stovetop, but it's not realistic for my schedule or lifestyle. It's really good with nutritional yeast too. I usually make enough for the week and eat leftovers cold with hot sauce. A very non traditional way to eat oats. 😂

Love porridge! Mine is finely chopped apple & cinnamon. Found the Japanese sweet potatoes at my Indian grocery store. An exciting moment indeed. I have broccoli & sweet potatoes for breakfast too😊🎉

I watched another video in which you measured 80 grams of oatmeal. Tried it for 2 days, it was a LOT. So happy to see that Nick measures 1,5 cup for three people 😅 Weighed half a cup, which is 50 grams. Never thought I would be happy with having to eat less hahaha

That’s strange. Plant foods are generally a lot less calorically dense than animal based foods. Meaning their great for weight loss. Processed foods aren’t great for weight loss though. Even if their plant based
I like to take those kinds of sweet potatoes and slice them into rounds, then sprinkle with cinnamon, ground corriander, a little ground cumin and then roast in oven until soft, served with broccoli for breakfast.
When I first try to cut out sugar I replaced the brown sugar I was putting on my porridge with cinnamon. Thought I would really miss the brown sugar but I didn't.
I have a question, how do you eat a dry potato with no sauce on it? I struggle to like potato’s without some kind of fat on it because it adds flavor and makes it less dry. What do you recommend?
Wow! Those are some super interesting ideas! I just wish that porridge would fill me up. I mean, I love it and I feel full after eating a bowl, but after one or two hours I am completely starving again! I don't understand how people can eat that without snacking the entire time until lunch. I really wish I could find a solution to that, because I really love making it but have stopped since it never keeps me full.

Yes, I have now stopped putting maple syrup on the porridge and the fruit is sufficient for sweetness.

Same! I have to have a bowl of steamed veg when I have oats otherwise I’m looking for food an hour later.
Maybe you need a bigger portion of oats?
