Your battery drain test is the best. I respect you for testing out standby, almost everybody ignores that very important aspect. Kudos 👏
+1
Phonebuff is better
Great review but one annoying thing in the video that can be fixed is to keep the time records on screen for each phone when they die. It just shows it for a second and then a blank battery image! Keep the times there please!
Thank you! No one ever does a standby test! They just go straight from 100-0% nonstop. My iPhone 13 gets 8 hrs of screen on time and standby time is awesome. I would rather have a long lasting battery over a faster charging one. I don’t always have a charger if at the zoo with the kids or on vacation out hiking. So having a phone that I trust from 6am to 10pm that won’t die is my best choice. I did have the one plus 8 and that charged ridiculously fast too. But wasn’t an all day device.
Better battery life over charging speed as less cycles means the battery will have a longer lifespan.
On wifi only?
I prefer fast charging. You can get a battery replacement
@@yungdsastar4392 by the time you charge your phone twice my 13 pro max still has 40 percent left….
I mean still 1 hour total time take for charging, how that can be called fast charging lolz
For the charging, on the S22 Ultra you are not using the required 45w brick and cable. If you do, the charging indicator should show "Super Fast Charging 2.0".
If you pause the video between 8:09 and 8:10 it shows Super Fast Charging, but it doesn't say "2.0"
Even without fast charging I’d still get the 13 pro max for its battery life. Using a 13 pro right now and I’ve kept the battery between 40-80% even on heavier use days. I pop the charger in every morning when I wake up and roughly 20-25 mins later it’s charged enough for the day
I'd get the xiaomi or the Samsung the multitasking is more convenient for me haha
Even if you use a 12w charger, your battery drain will be less and it’ll maintain a good battery health
@@MuhammadYasir-2526 I don't want to use a 12 watt charger it's too slow lol I'll have a new phone by the time the battery starts going bad
Yeah it doesn’t have to charge full
@@devilkazumi578 🤣👌🏼
Wow! I like this pattern! Discharging and charging in the same video! The complete battery experience!
Excellent video, love your battery comparisons, they are so representative of actual usage, thank you for making them 👍
People can hate Apple all they want, but you've got to admit that their optimization and battery life is 2nd to none.
Apple optimization is shit. What you talking about man. Samsung UI is way better
@@BilboTBaggins shitty ui samsung im using it
@@BilboTBaggins samsung ui is a copy
Amazing video sir!
It probably took lots and lots of patience to make
Good video. I remember when Huawei and BlackBerry were battery kings. Time has changed.
I think the oneplus 10 pro is the soft spot, it has the best battery on an android touching 10 hours in some tests and also 80 W charging which is amazing
Can you do this test with the small S22 as well? I own one and it does very very bad in standby... S22U lost 4% in 10h standby mine loses 10% in 5h.
Today it lost 7% for 2h, there was many alarms though to be fair and I use one app to measure which consumes battery and the alarm consumed 5% alone which is still very bad both for standby and alarm.
Great vid, such good detail!!
Next video please test the S22U vs S21U vs N20U both Snapdragon and Exynos models. Also the
6 phones fight to the death!
Well done. I enjoyed it till the end
i like that the youtube slider goes in sync with the tested app icons

Great Video! thank you
Thanks for the review!
I would love to see the FHD+ option. Because the Iphone has also a lower resolution.
See how much the battery life will improve.
Eitherway, you can't go wrong on either phones but the Iphone is still master in energy saving!
Sad that there isn't so much innovation at Apple, so after 10 years I ditched the Iphone and bought a Samsung.
Now having the S10 plus and switched to the S22 Ultra is a massive difference.
Its much faster than my previous phone.
And the camera is just insane. 10 times optical and digital zoom is insane!
I think an update will fix some bugs and might even give a better battery life on the S22 Ultra. But I could be wrong.
How much difference is there in the resolution from the iPhone to the Samsung? The difference is not abysmal in addition to the fact that the Samsung compensates for that little extra resolution with those 5000 battery, ltpo 2.0 1-120 hz screen, 4nm chipset, excuses and more excuses.
FHD+ won't make any difference. It does barely make a difference if the GPU processes FHD+ or WQHD+ as long as it is 2D stuff. The display that needs to be powered is always the same, regardless of the resolution set.
It will not improve at all
android fanboys shitty excuses again
At 09:25 the S22 said fully charged and the S21 said 13 min to full, but somehow your saying they're was only 1 min difference?
This is EXACTLY what I've been talking about 💥
Don't look too much at the benchmarks, the exynos variant doesn't always push to the max. There are benchmarks where it actually beats the snap in multi core while being on par in the single. Also, as you can see in Antutu, the Exynos variant temperature only raised by 4 degrees, while the snap raised by 7.5 degrees. This means that Exynos didn't push to its max power.
Its true now we know Samsung for limiting the exynos for improved battery but reduced performance with GOS service
@@deborah5710 so? It's literally what i said and this is not a completely bad things, but I guess people just want to complain for everything
Oo
@@simonegabellini6382 It is a bad thing. I rather have a hot phone than having only 50% of the advertised performance. This is a preference thing and so it should be up to the individual user if he wants this GOS service to be enabled or not. Samsung stated they want to give the option to turn this service off though.
@@gsonz172 yeah sure, then you'll all complain about phones broken after one year.
Anyway Samsung is going to give the option of disabling it, as you said, but thermal control will still be active, so it is going to throttle anyway.
Your S22 U is Snapdragon or Exynos version ? Tks
Lmao dude. When the s22 Ultra finished charging the s21Ultra had 13 minutes left and was at 95% but you had 99% over it. Also you're using a random 45w charger and not the newer 45w charger and not even using the official cable. Either way good video. Any phone getting over 8 hour SOt is good battery life. It sucks that even despite these tests the Exynos model still has a bad reputation. You could hear the snark in your voice even despite it doing better than both the 8 gen 1 and the Google tensor.
Thanks best videos for battery & charge
Good job! 💪🏻
Great video. Thank so much. Can you do the stand by test? My S22 Ultra burns 2% of the battery every hour if I do not touch it or use it. That is very disappointing and this is after I had the Samsung technician remotely logged into my phone to restrict the FB messenger battery hog app.....I tend to think the battery is defective...but it does not look like it.
Good test 👍👍👍
do it including 13 pro as well nobody does that now since early release
In India new 45 watt Samsung EP- T4510 charger still not available.
Some Samsung retailers advised me to buy 25 watt charger instead of old 45 watt charger for S22 Ultra, because of less heat & better battery health. Is it true ? Or should I go with old 45 Watt charger ?
There was a time when iPhones were defamed for poor battery life and now you see iPhone is king of battery back up.
They upped the battery sizes and are annihilating androids now, imagine when they get to 4800 or even 5000mAh
Great test. Will order S22 Ultra, the best overall.

My 13 pro max last me 14 hrs screen on with the new iOS 15.4. Note I don’t have location on, disabled 5g, and background app refresh. It’s wild
Great video
very nice vid bro
Thanks man
I like the test, you should continue all the way through Till the iPhone dies. Have the other phones charge back up to see if they could even charge of all the way before the iPhone runs out. Also the 45 W charger only works with the The specific One from Samsung. You had a one plus cable in there.
if you had a SIM card in them, you would be able to test the bigger battery drain on the Pixel 6, which is pretty noticeable due to the modem it's using.
Then turn 5g off an it should be a lil better that's what ppl are sayin
@@yaboinellz0804 I actually ended up doing that and got better battery. But it gets into a slippery slope. I can turn LTE off so it’s only on 3G which should be even better for battery life, but then the phone gets gimped even more.
@JF YT I'm waiting on my pro tonight
Can s22 ultra be used with vooc chager 30W ? as people say 25w and 45w charing speed are almost same like 5-10 mins difference is negligible.
I can't answer that but my Xiaomi 55W charger only activates fast charging on my s22u. Spigen 45W charger activates super fast charger and it is indeed quite faster but it's not super fast charging 2.0
Depends on the wattages supported. If your vooc charger supports 25W then it will do else it may only charge at 10W which is the default wattage of most chargers.
Seems if the iPhones come with a 5000mAh battery they will last 3days easily
Don't scare the Crydroid fans like that dude
i doubt 700 more mah will make it last 2 additional days
Was your iPhone on latest iOS update I have 13 pro max on ios15.02 bought it this week and there is nothing on my phone expect TikTok WhatsApp and UA-cam and in 1 hour it drops around 10% from 100to20 it took around 7 hours and 40 minutes
Is this normal😅 yours in first hour only dropped 2%
No one talks about the battery drain of the timer phone!I think it won the whole game!🤭
Superb vidio bro, 👍
Its a exynos or snapdragona s22 ultra?
Your Antutu scores on the Galaxys were lower than I saw in other Comparisons. In Antutu the Average for the Exynos Model is around 900000 points. Weird to see
throttle
Thank you 💌💯💯
battery test with the normal s22 please
Yoy how long do you take out of your day to do this
Battery life do matter but fast changing matters alotttt
Apple is better in battery drained test but android phones are better in battery charging.
longer battery life >>>>>>>> fast charging. and the fact that fast charging affects battery more in the long run.
Every one of these will go through a day easily, and all of us charge our phones at night anyways
Longer battery life always triumphs fast charging.
Buying $1000 phone and you cant really afford battery replacement for like $50 every year or 2 years?
For me, it does not. Even excellent batteries drain. I need to top off fast sometimes, and slow charging frustrates the hell out of me
@@Johnnyiswhere yes but most of the time you charge at night and need the battery during the day
Hell no it's annoying when a phone charges too slow
@@harynian better to buy a $1000 that doesn’t need a battery replacement every year
Thanks Sir
Whats the app called for checking the cpu
A lot of people on reddit were complaining about s22 ultra battery life since release
Iphones battery life is to good that's why its good to have a Samsung phone and an iPhone if possible
I Love a "13 Pro Max Alpine Green" this!
For people wandering about the actually important recharge time, 15% to 80% took around 40 minutes in the samsungs and about 50 minutes on the iPhone.
Wow! You are good!
Funny enough a guy named Darius saved me from a blizzard when I my car broke down.
Thanks
Why does nobody test battery on the snapdragon model
S22 ultra goes to 1 hz mode only when it's screen is idle, right? So, doesn't that mean that none of the phones are actually going down to 1 hz or 10hz. Also, maybe apple is using only 60hz on some of it's apps, which may give it an unfair advantage. It's just a doubt though. Hope you verify it with an updated battery test with refresh rate counter.
its not unfair, it's resource management.
hehe 9-10h też przy graniu to ja mam na M51 i to prawie 2 letnim
. pozdrawiam
Not sure if you did this but you have to enable the 45w fast charge on the settings for the s22 ultra, otherwise it charges at 25w
Same observation. He did not, or he is not using the 45w charger. The S22 Ultra only shows Super Fast Charging and not Super Fast Charging 2.0.
why u dont just put in the video description if samsungs are exynos or snapdragon? That would be helpfull for those watching
Best battery test.
I'll share a charging secret with you about Samsung devices, specifically the S21 series and newer. If you leave the device powered off, it charges faster. My S21 Ultra only takes about 45 minutes to fully charge when powered off and using the 25w charger from Samsung.
But how.. mine s21u never goes off.. i trade 24hrs
Yes it true
Battery was used to biggest issue for iPhones now they dominate this region
meilleurs comparaison de batterie merci
Love my 13 Pro Max 😍
I think S pen is definitely sipping some juice also i can tell Exynos is running cooler meaning it's throttling it's performance little bit for less temperature
Pleaase s21 vs s22 exynos
Xiaomi 12 Pro h as LTPO 2.0 screen as well btw so it's capable of 1-120hz as well fyi
S22 Ultra was only Super Fast Charging (25W), not Super Fast Charging 2.0 (45w). For that you would need a 45W Adapter with PD3.0 and a 5A C-to-C Cable.
Thanks for the video, really appreciate the effort.
Sir, you mean the cable comes in the box couldn't support sfc 2.0? Need to buy a new type c to type c cable too?
So on top of the $1300 you spend on the phone, you also have to buy a more expensive charger then another cable?
@@DC-vl4ue the cable in the box does support super fast charging
@@mraza6293 no you don't mate the cable supports 45 watt
45 w charger doesnt help
Thanks for the test
Never understood the fast charging thing, I personnaly don't care at all. I prefer a long lasting battery. That's why I bought an Iphone 13 pro max and it is insane.

Awesome test! I wanna ask, the S21U is a used one or brand new? Impressive result. What about making a huge battery test including S21U, S22U, S21+, Note 20, Note 20 Ultra and so on - if you have them? :)
I've got the S21 ultra and it's variable refresh rate goes down to 60hz only, not 10hz
considering the results and also taking into consideration other tests on YT with new S21U it looks like this unit here as new as ever because the results are similar. Either that or this unit is very well preserved
@@bustercolin7507 it goes down to 10
@@sherozsheroz Mine doesn't
@@bustercolin7507 That does not even make sense, all S21 ultra models are able to go down to 10hz, yours is probably broken, cause mine does, its what Samsung advertised
Antutu is not cross-platform - the developers have explicitly stated that Android Antutu scores and iOS Antutu scores cannot be compared. It's not like Geekbench, which was made to be cross-platform.
Nice one! As expected the iPhone is so far ahead of Android it is shocking. The S22U claimed 30% efficiency over the S21U is just a pipe dream and yet another marketing schism by Samsung. Along with so-called 45-watt charging, 1Hz low refresh-rate (nearer 24Hz according to tests), nightography (very noisy), performance (too close to the s21U), display brightness (almost impossible to get 1750 nits, and less indoors than the iPhone), seems more fragile having seen drop tests, downgrade in base RAM, speakers so-so, LTE/5G speeds well below the S21U, s-pen latency currently only in Samsung apps, GOS throttling performance, etc!
Far too much hype on the S22U and a good opportunity for rivals to maybe catch up with Samsung this year and for the iPhone 14 Pro Max to go further ahead.
Are you being serious?
Are you being serious?
1. Photos are noticeably better than on the iPhone lol. What noises?
2. The display is much more bright than on the iPhone and you can see it on GSMArena S22 Ultra test
3. The speakers are the same as last year so very good
You're funny
@@RandomPerson-nz4kq nope. Photos are just better on the Galaxy, also in low light. The iPhone of course also doesn't have working HDR for photos. With Dolby Atmos turned on the speakers are on par and you can tune it by yourself
@@Pawcio2115 Sorry, i just realized I misread your reply. I read the part about the display as saying the iPhone was brighter. I think the original comment was just trying to see what all they could come up with to try and make Apple seem better
You find a charging station or an outlet on every corner these days therefore I value fast charging more than the battery life itself. That being said a middle ground between these two would be the way to go for me.
i hate recharge often, soo i kept my phone in the really bad position of 100% all time possible, soo, when i'am out, i get 100% in the start and use it fearless until 25% ~ 20%, my device now is a xiaomi mi 9 explore edition from ahlf 2019 still reach nice screen time and always up to 100% on my table in workday basis, weekend as well in general it kept at 100%, for room configurations matters i take it off to sleep about 6 to 8 hours per day off and average day usage as well, soo i totally kill my own battery and it kepts good, i want a new one device and totally are going to xiaomi 12 pro now... i know has betters options in general for camera or something here and there, but this xiaomi 12 pro is the only one that get 95% of features i want, the only one is missing is 1tb storage and sure more battery will be great, but the really fast charge is amazing to me
Long battery life matters more to me rather than fast charging
Do this test at highest resolution and 60hz so we can see the results.
I would take bit of less battery and 120w other then long lasting battery
Remember when everyone said iPhones have the worst battery life
*remember when iPhones used to have the worst battery life?
Yeah because it started from the 11 pro max that it gets better. 12 pro max isn't much improve from 11pm tho. 13 is king and it still new. So everyone still remember
Nice
Samsung 25 watt fast charging is faster than Google 30 watt fast charging 😂😂.
The iPhone can charge faster than 20 watts, I think its up to 27W

S21 ultra still going strong🔥
why does samsung screens flicker in video?
What about monster M52 5G ?

Darius Fan From India Since 2019
I'd prefer longer battery life at least a full day so i can only charge it once at nite or in the morning and I'd not worry for the whole day.
Need to add the snapdragon variant to complete this test haha
Hahah would love to but unfortunately samsung doesn’t sell it where I live
Just me or does he look like the little man from the princess bride
Like others have said, the S22U was only charging at 25W in this test
I think it needs a PPS and 3.0 compatible charger to achieve those numbers, and you only see those faster speeds between 0-50% then it slows down and matches the 25W charger rate to preserve battery longevity.
@@marcochavane3124 Correct. Probably to sell more chargers, they switched from 20V 2.25A to 9V 5A which is very uncommon in phone chargers. The old 45W charger, which most people test with, does not output 5A, so therefore does not do the full 45W. There was a test I saw online using the new charger, and it went from 27% to 70% is 20 minutes. It is quite stupid they require high current output now, especially with how uncommon it is
Tech Specifications:
Rated Voltage:125V~,60Hz
Rated Power:1250W Max
Rated Current:10A Max
USB Input: AC 100-125V~, 50/60Hz, 1.5A Max
Type-C1/Type-C2 output: 65W Max, 5V/9V/12V/15V⎓ 3A; 20V⎓ 3.25A
USB1 Output: 5W Max, 5V⎓ 1A
USB2 Output: 60W Max, 5V/9V/12V/20V⎓ 3A
Looks like the Baseus charger some people have promoted can't do that version of 45w
Just got it a few days ago but still don't have the phone. So frustrating.
@@marcochavane3124 I don't have the phone either. I'm just going based off of what I've heard others say. It is stupid though
@@marcochavane3124 I don't know anymore. I just looked around more, and apparently the new charger doesn't max out at 5A, but the cable it comes with is rated for that current. I'm not completely sure what has changed that allows so few chargers to support SFC 2.0. The charger you mentioned may work, but I really don't know
can i just have one of those phones pwease
I hope iphone 14 would have a faster charging plus retain its beast battery life
Bit of flawed comparison IMHO.
