How Long Does a Fusion Proglide Cartridge Last For?

- I'm starting a personal experiment to see how long a Fusion Proglide cartridge will last me. Supposedly, they last for a month. I'm going to use the same cartridge to shave one half of my face and head. The other half of my face and head I'll shave with a new cartridge, so I can compare how sharp the blade stays over time as compared to a brand new cartridge.
I don't know how long it will last me, but I should have the answer in a few weeks. - Навчання та стиль

you can make any Cartridge razor blade last a long time look it up on youtube how to " sharped " the blades a product called Razor Pit claims using it can make the blades last up to 150 shaves...seems legit as i stopped counting after 80+ use other thing that has almost same effects as the razor pit much cheaper though is using a piece of fabric from Jeans glide the blade against the shaving direction like you do on the razor pit...another claims you can do this by using the skin on your under arm BUT dont do these tips until the blade starts to get dull someone also gives another tip keeping the razor soaking in vegetarian oil as it will prevent the blade from rusting
I've heard of both the jeans method and I think I even heard of the razor pit but never really tried them out. I have been doing some testing with a Harry's razor and I'm up to 67 shaves with it. I think the center of it's starting to dull and there is some rust spots on it despite patting it dry and using 80% rubbing alcohol. If I do another test I might try either 90% rubbing alcohol or just patting it dry. The previous blade rusted out pretty bad when I didn't dry it out at all. I believe there are specific oils made for steel you can coat your razor in and not have to use vegetable oil.
Hi, cartridges (8 to 26 times more expensive) are extremely expensive, yet from the 2 blade to the 5 w/ vibration Gillettes and Schick, I didn't feel any significant improvement with daily shaving. I'm glad I found the art of SE shavers (almost the same angle as cartridge for fast but close shaving) and razors (I have a DE, not sure if that's for me, I don't use it much) and have ordered a cool looking vintage GEM 1912 and 3 types of GEM blades for it to test if I'm for the carbon steel (hardest but prone to rust), stainless steel or stainless steal with Teflon coating- which is going give the closest, irritation free and fastest shave.

Yeah, I"m not big fan of cartridge razors because I don't like buying replacement blades.
Try the Schick Hydro 5 or 3 blade...A blade will last me 3 weeks..! It has lotion in the strip that comes out when you shave..!

That's true lol. Some kid did a review of AIRMAIL for mac , I think he got the previous version for free then they sent him the new version for free for him to review and of course he talked good about it. Not saying it's a bad program just saying it's true what you say if someone gets something for free. I've been doing it all wrong , I use them one or 2 weeks for 5 shaves :( . Been wasting my money.
Yep, totally agree. When someone gets something for free its bound to alter what they say about it.
