Yay! We love your news segments! I mixed a full pan of phthalo blue and green once and loved it. Never thought about mixing PB29 with Phthalo green to get granulation, going to try that today. Excellent idea! Thank you for all the work you do with these news bits. You rock! 😻🐈⬛
That ultramarine turquoise is an absolutely beautiful color, but would be so easy to mix with tubes you have sitting around. Seeing your cat gives me an automatic desire to pet them. 🥰Luckily, I’m at my mother’s fulfilling that need by playing with her fur babies 😂
These sounds amazing ☺☺☺
That ultramarine turquoise is so stunning! I haven't bought watercolors in a while, but this might be the set I can't pass.
That ultramarine turquoise is delicious.
It really is :3
I use the DS Ultramarine Turquoise which are the same pigments but it has a different effect where you get the blue pigment gathering together to form a gentle texture/granulation ... I use it in place of a straight up PG7. This mix has more of a yellowy green separating out. I do love colors Ali Cavanaugh chose. I draw figures and portraits a lot and I use Pyrrole Orange across a whole range of skintones. If I can find this set cheaply I wouldn't mind trying it out to get the three new colors ... and mix only with these six to see how they work.
In regards to the Qor Ultramarine Turquoise, two days ago I was in a Golden Paints livestream video asking questions about their Qor lineup and I asked about the Ali Cavanaugh Ultramarine Turquoise and if it was going to be available outside of the set. They mentioned that they had no plans on making it available outside of the set because they considered it Ali's signature color. The other thing I found out in that livestream is that they were going to discontinue the Ultramarine Pink Dark from their new line because Golden discontinued PV15.
I ordered the earth colours, looking forward to receiving them and sharing how they look 😊
Daniel smith is the only other company I know of that carries an ultramarine turquoise mixture like that. I really hope qor releases theirs open stock, because I like their paints far more than Daniel smith
I have the set. the ultramarine turquoise is really nice, I hope they'll think about selling it in open stock at some point.
it's two-toned but it looks really nice when layered too. I use it similar to my viridian from schmincke. the hue is not exactly the same and it's not two-tones, but the colour fills the same "niche" for me. it looks nice in portrait like it's meant to in the set but I also just really enjoy pairing it with alizerin/mangeta tones.
Elizabetta Frucht did a review of the Earth set on her channel about a month or so ago.
I will try to mix PB29 with PG7 , let’s see what happen ❤. Thanks a lot doer this news
Have fun with the mixing! :D
Perhaps are these neon colours useful for glowing CAT eyes 😊
Oooh, agree on the Ultramarine Turquoise, but also, I kinda just dig that whole set!
That ultramarine turquoise is stunning😍 Maybe just as well it is only in a set or my wallet would be lighter😂 The overall set looks good as well. Thanks for the info and a charming sleepy 🐱
very confusing, i love the qor swatch you showed for the ultramarine turquoise but when i went to the link you left of the set they show it as a regular turquoise, rather flat looking
First!
