Sungai nibong means that the bus will cross the bridge into Penang Island. Butterworth means you have to take a ferry to cross the narrow strait into Penang Island. Your choice
Some bus company wanted to print the name of passenger on tickets while some other bus companies don't bother. If case you are unlucky to meet an accident in the bus trip. Your identity with the bus company help.

檳城在8:03出現的巴士中轉站, 令外客是半天吊的, KL大巴司机趕你落車, 因已到檳城，但它是離市中心很遠的. 要搞懂才坐上公車.
2年前在市中心光大的旅行社買14:30的票去KL, 他們到15点才叫你上小巴, 到了這中轉站, 趕客下車接大巴，司机立即走了. 拉着行李拿車票問呀問, 才知大巴開1700. 站上無職員理你. 光大那邊的旅行社, 都是泊腳經紀, 不說真話的. 結果在無助中到達KL Sentral, 晚上十時多，見到麥當勞就餓到發瘋.
去到茨廠街外, 又遇暴雨, 摸黑問路人找旅店，多難！
KL Sentral long distance bus tickets counters inside ERL express train waiting area. But you still have to take the bus at tasik selatan station

The ticketing girl has no right to ask you for seeing your passport, as she's not an immigration officer when you're travelling within the country.
Ticketing recently asked me for a passport as well. I answered (honestly) that I'd not brought it with me, and this didn't seem to be a problem.
