Hi Annie, you're very welcome. We came back from our 3.5 week trip in January, so if you need any help or advice, please let me know. We also have videos on Langkawi & KL if you want to check out those too: KL: ua-cam.com/video/pU-uOLhlFac/v-deo.html Langkawi: ua-cam.com/video/VQZu2DoARG4/v-deo.html Susie
You're very welcome. Thank you for watching our travel video on Penang. Let us know if you have any questions, as we can help with your trip planning :)
It was an informative interesting video, I enjoyed it. I lived in Penang in my childhood, it was quite undeveloped then (1960)., I look forward to visiting for the first time since then, next year and I hope to visit some of the places you mentioned.
👍👍👍Very well made VIDEO 🤩, with just enough information. Thanks too for providing the links to your accommodation and also created the helpful short-cut links to the sights that I can refer to later. Yes, Penang and George Town will be on a top consideration in my next travel. THANKS
Thank you so much for your kind comment. We always like to include those links, in case anyone's interested in staying at the same hotel, or finding out more information about the destination 🙂
Thank you so much. We love creating informative travel videos and it makes us so happy when fellow travellers find them useful. We hope you have a memorable time in Penang - you'll definitely love it as much as we did ☺️ Susie
Hello! Thank you for your comment. We were in Penang for 10 full days; 5 days in Batu Ferringhi and 5 days in George Town. You can definitely do it in less time, and have a few more action-packed days. We suggest visiting for a minimum of 7 days if you can. Hope this helps ☺️ Susie
Great video. We are heading to Penang in May, so all your recommendations are so handy. Thank you. One silly question… did you get mosquito attack for wearing shorts? I am allergic to mozzies.
Hello 😊 are you going to just Penang or are you travelling around? You'll have a wonderful time. Just be prepared for the hot weather..being British, we struggled in January 🙈 We used the jungle formula maximum insect repellent during the evening, and when we were around nature. We didn't get attacked once. I would highly suggest using something similar, or anything that contains deet to prevent this. Take it with you in your bag when you're planning on going anywhere that could have mosquitoes. Susie
If you're going in flight then yeah, but bus won't give you that option. Moreover the place has many things to see. 1 day trip may not be enough for it. You'd have to choose very less spots to see.
Quite frankly, I don’t understand this comment about Penang - “not suitable for kids.” And yes, I have visited Penang. So I can speak from personal experiences. Personally I have not found anything in Penang that could even remotely be called R or X-rated which would make it unsuitable for young ones or families. (FYI: They even have McDonald’s for those of more refined taste, hesitant to expose their children to local delicacies which might corrupt their sensitive culinary preferences.) So, gentle parents, care to elaborate on what makes Penang unsuitable for families?
Thanks for watching, Keith! Food & drink prices are very similar to KL. Like KL, it has a good share of cheap places to eat, but also more expensive options - the same goes for drinks. Overall, we found it to be very affordable. We loved Kuala Lumpur - we're working on that video next and will be out in a few weeks :)
Best video I came across on all on Penang guide. Well done
Thank you for your kind comment, we really appreciate it 🙏
Great video, I am in the process of planning a trip to Malaysia & this has been a great help.

Totally not suitable for family with kids….been there once and kids complained endlessly….wanting to find reasons to go there but cant
Why they complained sir
Which one is not suitable for family & kids? Could you specify please? Thank you.

@@blockm641 also spoke from personal experience, really no reason to go due to poor traffic and lack of good malls, coupled with the unbearable heat
U dont go to Penang for Malls😅 u go there for the food@@thaddddeee5355
What happens in penang stays in penang bro.
great video Toucan, i have only been to KL, how cheap is food and of course beer to eat out?
