    Wonderful message Paola. So glad that you emancipated yourself from the church and have realized a certain level of contentment and happiness. As a recovering Catholic, I can relate and also left the church and never looked back.

    Religion is what we believe in and live by. That's all fine. Our parents try to raise and mold us to be how they want us to be. As we get older......we become ourselves in our own way. Be yourself, there is nothing wrong with what you do.
    I enjoy watching Paola's vlog...does that make me a weird person ? NO. Every person has their freedom to choose on how they want to live their lives. So do whatever makes you happy and don't let anyone discouraged you. Paola....your the best in my book !!!!!!!

    OK, to add to my previous comment on your last video, you're "look" in this and the previous video are your best look yet. The wig really works for you. I said you were "drop dead gorgeous". From my point of view, this is by far and away your best look. Just love it. Wish I could look as great as you do. I'm not jealous, but maybe envious, but in a good way. You go girl!

    I dealt with a pastor who preached one night on "don't judge by appearances, but look at the heart". Then, immediately following that service he had the youth pastor ask me to cut my hair because "long hair on a man is wrong" (tell that to the guy we were there to worship lol) when I refused to cut my hair, he no longer allowed me to play music in the praise and worship group and started treating me like $h!t and everyone else in the church had my back and he didn't like that one bit. (The typical religious control freak) anyway, I left that church and a few months later his wife caught his bald headed behind in bed with another woman from the church and he was immediately removed as pastor of the church. My integrity, along with my hair was still intact. His, not so much.

      Historically men use to have long hair. No one in the Catholic Church judges people for their hair length. I go to the biggest English speaking Catholic church in Canada. There is a guy working there with long hair.

      The catholic (universal) Christian church, including Roman Catholic, Protestant, and Eastern Orthodox traditions don't need individuals in leadership like that youth pastor.

    I was in a similar situation, I am Roman Catholic but don't practice it. I have always been a cross dresser, I am happy with it and so is much of my family x

    Thanks for posting this Paola! I think more people need to come forward and explain the negative consequences of religion in general and Catholicism in specific. You are right that there is nothing wrong with crossdressing and I think it is a secret indulgence of millions of men who often feel wracked with guilt about it due to religious upbringing. And of course that leads to hostility to those who do cross dress or dare to be different. Many men have to prove to themselves that they are still men by abusing men who do not portray themselves in the same way. Its a cancer. I enjoy your channel and your OF and wish you a prosperous and happy 4th year of YT.

    Very very true to a lot of religions not just Catholic and when I was young and my parents caught me could have me committed to a mental institution in the 1960’s. That had my so scared but I still dressed just was more careful

    I am Roman Catholic also. Because I donˋt fundamentally believe in the people representing the church, but in „god“, I have no problem with religion. He/she/it made me as I am (more or less). Robert Ruark (writer) wrote decades back: …on the other hand there are some stiff-collared, nondringing, churchgoing, clean necked folk‘s I wouldn‘t trust as far as you can sling an ox. I agree. You are and you look gorgeous. Thank you for your thoughts.

    You and I, lived very similar lives when we talk about religion.
    I actually left the Catholic Church because of their archaic attitudes. We being transgender women, know deep down inside that who we are is not a choice. Choosing to reject us with hurtful words and hateful judgements is a choice. 💜

    I w razed Roman Catholic and I had the same kind of Experiences with people talking about others in the church. Tell me I was a sinner doing all the wrong things so it made me really shy withdrawn and hide who I like to be as well. Thanks for coming out and telling your story to

    Wow, I can relate to this so much. I am still hidden to the world outside my wife. Religion was the cause for missing out on so much. I do not follow any religion for the reason that it’s not a way to live. So many hypocrites in the world. I am free from religions and free to live my life as I choose.

    It is possible for religion to be loving and inclusive. You are right, people also use religion to say how much better than they are the rest, You do a lot of good with your UA-cam videos and you need to be yourself. Love your many looks.

    I can relate to your story very much. I was also raised catholic, but I am a hedonist and not catholic, and my parents hardly ever budge when it comes to my crossdressing.

    Thank you for posting this, I can relate 100% to it, the same exact things happened to me. I am also catholic and I asked a priest for his blessing on my transition last year and told him about me being transgender and he didn't know what that word was. I explained with Gender Dysphoria and he didn't understand that word either. He continued by saying I was acting like a teen ager playing with Barbie Dolls and it was time for me to grow up and be a man. He said God was not happy with me and it was wrong and I will go to hell for it. At that point I just stood up and walked away and never went back to church again. Obviously these people are ignorant and under educated because the church should teach them these things. I still believe in God but not the way they are teaching us. I believe God is happy that I am being true to myself. I love myself and I love God and that's all there is to it. Thank you so much for touching up on this subject 🤍😊💖

    My grandma was Catholic back in the day, but switched about a decade ago. Though I didn't grow up in a religious household, per se, I still kinda felt that pressure even though my mom told me that she would accept me no matter what. Since becoming an adult, I have grown more and have left religion behind and I'm much happier now.
    Good point on people at church stealing after they get out of church. Most people use religion as an excuse or to save face. I once saw a To Catch A Predator episode where dude caught said God was his savior 🙄😂

    I was also born into a Catholic Family, it proved to be a terrible time for me. Banished to a Boarding School in another Country, didnt make me one of THEM. Escaped and started my journey to self awarness, i now @ 67 are oh so happy with my life. went to both my Parents funerals ,never felt any remorse. We (trans) are the beacon of hope to others still caught in the Religion Trap, having survived the viciousness of Church Leaders / Teachers / Nuns and Priests to blossom into Takatapui . We are NORMAL humans that cannot live a Lie. Yes we are a part of society , not going away anytime soon and are productive in all fields as diverse as Medical to Cheffing,Teaching , Law you name it i bet one of us is already there. Yes the Church harms those born Different that cannot be denied but they still do it. Sorry about the rant but your Statements triggered me. Kia Kaha Wahine Toa , stand proud neh.     You are who you are. Religion has no part of this. Catholic church is big on the guilt thing. I'm so glad you didn't fall for the big lie. Thanks for the video.

    First, a slightly belated congratulations on another year with your UA-cam channel! We all appreciate you being on. Second, you look absolutely adorable! I love that dress, and I’ve been meaning to say how much I like that wig on you too!
    Paola, you’re a dear person who’s not doing anything wrong but you are doing a lot right! Being in touch with my feminine side has only made me feel more softer, kinder, caring, and nicer of a person. Those are the natural traits of femininity, and are drawn out when dressing and otherwise expressing feminine gender traits. These things aren’t bad they’re just the opposite, the more civilizing traits which the World needs now more than ever! I’d like to see women win as many political offices as possible and run things! In the Old Testament, in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, there are “THOW SHALL NOTS” against homosexuality and crossdressing, but also prohibiting men from shaving, wearing clothes of mixed threads, women, during their “unclean” time of their cycles, having to “go to the tent” and away from the men during this time. Eating requirements also, etc. it’s funny how so called “Christians” pick and choose out of these archaic Old Testament books just the things to use against the LGBTQ community but not the others. Most Jewish orders don’t even follow these rules anymore. I heard from a college history professor once that a lot of these rules in the Old Testament, when thought written, coincided with societal problems, like regarding Crossdressing, there was a problem with thieves dressing as women and robbing unsuspecting folks on dark streets at that time. They’ve always discouraged homosexuality for always wanting more soldiers and parishioners for the church, so needed people breeding. And man have you hit the nail on the head about so many church goers being hypocrites! That’s been the case for eons now. My Great Grandmother could of told the Pope a thing or two about being Catholic, and raised her 9 children to believe their Priest was the one to look up to, who’s beyond moral reproach, etc, you know, so, my Grandfather was a pious one, regularly attended mass, etc, until one day in town, he saw his Priest so drunk he could barely walk, coming out of the brothel with a prostitute on each arm. He decided right then and there, that guy wasn’t without great moral lapses, or any closer to god than anybody else. So he went home and told his kids that the church dogma and rituals aren’t as important as just being a good person in life and following “the golden rule,” and if you be sure and do that, be truly sorry when you don’t and try to do better henceforth, you don’t need to worry about your place in the afterlife. And that’s what my dad and his siblings did, and how I and my siblings were raised. This is what’s most important I think, and whatta ya know, this is pretty much what Jesus is claimed to have told his disciples too. It’s the moral wellspring of most all religions too, so Paola, I doubt we’re in any trouble when we dress, and express our femininity. Thank you so much for sharing this video on such a important topic, of which you really spelled things out well. ❤️😘

    This is so much like my story except that I was brought up in the Church of England by strict parents. The hypocrisy at church was so similar and exactly why I have nothing to do with religion any more. Like you say, crossdressing is the most innocent and harmless thing!

    The big "clobber verse" is Deuteronomy 22.5, but it has to be understood for what it is: I believe that the Law of Moses had a time and place, but it is not now (apart from the specific parts restated in the New Testament) and I use the entire Epistle to the Galatians as well as Hebrews 8.12 ("Now in saying 'a new covenant', he has made obsolete the former one", Confraternity Version).
    Hypocrisy runs rampant in the churches. A lot of people seem to be Christian for 60 minutes a week, and then absolute holy terrors the rest of the time. Just like the people who come from church, meet at a restaurant, treat the wait staff like garbage, and then stiff them on tips. I think there's more serious concerns out there than how a person chooses to present oneself.

      It's interesting how Deuteronomy 22.5 is selectively used against men, but hardly applied to women.
      While we're at it, maybe we should consider Deuteronomy 22:12 “You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself.

    Paola, first of all, your outfit looks wonderful and I love your look and hair. Now, the biggest problem with religion is that those that treat people the way they did you was not what Jesus was telling His disciples and those He came in contact with. He commanded us to love God with our entire being and to love our neighbors (all other people) as yourself. That's not religion. That's obeying Jesus Christ and how we're supposed to love people. You are doing wonderfully in your actions and thoughts, Paola. Don't let others tell you otherwise. They're the ones that's going to have to account for their actions on the Day of Judgement.

      First to speak to your look and outfit. The head band in your wig was so absolutely cute and adorable. It complements your dress so well. Your last 2 videos have had me mesmerized from the beginning 😉.
      In my opinion there is a huge relationship between religion and relationship. I don’t consider myself *religious* but I do have a relationship with God (and the trinity). I am a cross dresser. Again in my opinion this choice I make has little to do with my relationship with God. It’s how I identify myself and it doesn’t change the fact that I am one of His creations and am not worthy of His love, mercy and grace. To me once I understood my relationship with Him and who I am it gives me more peace. At the end of the day that’s what He wants and for us to love Him with all hearts, minds and souls. What I wear occasionally doesn’t preclude me from having that relationship with our loving God.

    I grew up in the '60s . My family is very LDS and they would not put up with it when I got caught the two times there was hell today. I will learn to be very sneaky and has bury it my feelings and my emotions of being trans I would never let anybody know about it because of that I I had to bury my feelings and who I really am. I am now I just turned 60 and I finally but nobody know who I really am I want to say hi to everybody my name is Rohi and it's been great to have been set free I can now be me fully awesome

    It will vary from church to church. I have found acceptance in the Catholic church I go to but, I am in SoCal. The only sin I found when I was growing up is that I had to lie to everyone I ever knew. My faith got me through all my struggles growing up. Other lack of understanding should not keep us from our chosen faith.

    Looking amazing Paola! While I was raised in a pretty religious household. My mom more so than my dad. I was raised and still consider myself Lutheran. I haven't been to church though in years. I feel that my crossdressing may not be 100% faithful in the eyes of the Lord. I still do it anyway as often as I can. I don't feel bad about it. It's part of me. My dressing is part of who I am.

    I was also raised Catholic. I first crossdressed when I was 5 (and playing in Mommy's laundry piles long before then). When I was 7, I had my first confession. I told the priest and he told me. "That's not a sin. It's just being silly." So I never felt any guilt.

    Maybe not surprisingly we have had similar backgrounds. I am of the same religion and I started in 4th and 5th grades with my feelings of wanting to be a girl. I have felt terribly alone so really appreciate hearing your past.

    You look as beautiful as Jackie Onassis. Not raised , but my Dad and Step Dad Were Policeman. So, for last 35-40 were super difficult. A lot of shaming at the dinner table and bedroom.

    I'm protestant and my wife catholic. I goes to the churches. I have tight relationship with my pastors and other people in my churches. Nobody asks anything. I got congratulations about my traditional dresses which colors depends on religious times. I'm one of the rare Alsatian women who tries to maintain a living tradition, not only for the folklore.
    Red is for catholic women.
    Green is for protestant women, which goes blue is for the Lent time and ended black (wedding dress) for the Good Friday.

    Thank you for your videos. I appreciate the way you share this part of your life and why it's important to you.
    For this particular video, I understand and agree with what you have to say. Religion is about controlling people, and too many of its leaders and followers are hypocritical, judging others while they continue in their own bad behaviors.
    I want to address one thing you said, though. You commented that the Bible says nothing about crossdressing. There is at least one verse that prohibits it. It is from the Old Testament, Deuteronomy 22:5 “A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God." Now, having pointed out that verse, I want to add that the New Testament is all about God's willingness to forgive use, no matter what - something so many religious folk seem all-too-ready to ignore.

    Hi Paola. :) I am a crossdresser as well and like you, I was raised religiously and in a church, although I'm not Catholic..... I, too was taught that boys weren't supposed to wear girls' clothes and vice-versa. However, I've worn pantyhose for all of my life and I've been heavily crossdressing for almost two years now. I've honestly always wanted to CD, but up until a few years ago, I couldn't. Anyway, I also have a UA-cam channel, but I don't upload very often and I don't have near the views and subs that you've got..... Kudos to you on that, though! LOL Anyhow of course, this is NOT in any way, shape or form judgment towards you, or anyone else and I'm sure you're aware of this Bible passage. But, there is Scripture that does prohibit CD'ing: A woman shall not wear man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 22:5 Now, I am simply pointing out this Scripture and this, perhaps is the reason your priest and your mother tried everything they knew to try to get you to stop CD'ing? However, I'm glad it didn't work because I believe that we should all express ourselves in ways that make us feel comfortable and feel like who we are.
    Also, I totally get it about preachers, pastors, priests or whatever passing judgement on people, acting all high and mighty in church, but as soon as they step out those church doors, they're completely different people. Allow me to elaborate, please..... I was married, now divorced and I caught my ex-wife cheating on me with a MUCH older man, old enough to be her GRANDFATHER and he was a Deacon in the church that we attended. So yeah, I get it and that is an unfortunate truth about some people who act like they can do no wrong, yet they act all Christian and stuff in church, but do a complete 180 when they're not at church..... Smh.
    One last thing, Paola..... You look GORGEOUS and I love your, (apparent to me), retro 1950s look! :)

    Hi a father of 4 kids and if one or all of them cross dresses I’ll support them and I’ll do what I can to protect them from small minded people.
    Most Catholics in Ireland, where I’m from, are liberal and don’t care how people dress.
    You look great. Be proud of who you are.
    Being free of religion is a liberating experience. Be a good person because it’s the right thing to do, not because you are afraid of some invisible god that will punish you.

    This is my second comment I didn't put it on the first comment. I wanted to thank Paola. She was talking about seeing a psychiatrist. What She said help give me the nerve to be able to do what I need to do and I have started the process to become the female I KNOW I was supposed to be. Because of that I'm most happiness ever in my heart and soul and i want to thank you. I was told growing up that the bible god says male becoming a female or women becoming male is a sin.. I was told that God called it blasphemy and is a sin.. That is what I was told growing up!I have said a lot prayers and even ask the Lord to forgive me and have mercy because no matter what I am finally the woman I am supposed to be!

    Is cross-dressing in the bible? (@ 6:54-6:56) With respect to you, yes it is.
    Deuteronomy 22:5 (KJV), "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God." In the New Testament Paul wrote this, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate..." 1 Corinthians 6:9 (KJV). The Greek word (ganymēdē) translated "effeminate" in this verse is better translated "catamite". It describes a boy who takes the feminine role in a homosexual relationship and/or a man living as a woman with another man. Both of these would include cross-dressing. I suspect that the translators rendered it "effeminate" because 400 years ago when the KJV was first published effeminacy and crossdressing were synonymous.
    Now I well understand you are not a homosexual nor do you promote nor condemn homosexuality. I only mention this because 1 Cor. 6:9 it is a reference in the Bible that also speaks to crossdressing, albeit not as directly as does Deuteronomy 22:5. So, in sum, both the Old and New Testaments speak to the practice of crossdressing.
    I share this because these and a few other texts in the Bible are basis for opposition to crossdressing by "people of the book" (Christians, Jews, Mormons, etc.). It is why they have a strong reaction to crossdressing. You may not see it as a sin. I understand. But the bible does appear to treat it as sinful behavior, hence the opposition to it. FWIW.

      And sorry i would not say that 1rst Corinthians is talking about crossdressers.

      Only in Christ are all these laws upheld. Man could never achieve the level of perfection Deuteronomical laws demanded. And Paul, a Pharisee by training, although converted seemed to retain many of his impulses to spew out these laws. I see plenty of women leading churches and sunday schools and very few wearing hats so I take much of Paul's commentary with a grain of salt. Christ died as the ultimate sacrifice for those who believe. That is all. Live your life.

      You kind of answered yourself. It's the dressing to take part in a sexual act that is condemned, not just crossdressing. That's why David concealed himself as a woman to run/hide from Saul and it was ok. It's the motivation, not the act. A hyperbolic analogy would be like killing someone in cold blood or killing someone as a clear case of defense, let's say of a child. One gets hell, the other is a righteous act and commanded to protect the innocent, but it's the same action to simple people.

It is a kind of homosexuality. You are right, crossdressing is not directly inview, but is a necessary component of being a cadamite. FWIW.

    I too was raised catholic and I live in the north east. I have to say I did not find it very restrictive. I with my emerging fethis enjoyed going to church to see all the hot ladies and teenage girls. So for me it was an enabling experience. Love the new wig. And love your out door videos and shopping.     There are people in all religions who somehow feel they are entitled to modify the dogma of the religion to their own way of thinking. In the case of being transgendered, there is no prohibition on one's clothing, hairstyle, etc as long as one is being respectful of the culture. The problem is the assumption that presenting as your non-birth gender implies other actions which they might find offensive. That is none of their business of course as our matter of conscious is between us and whoever we consider the creator! The attitude in the Catholic Church is rapidly changing but it will take a couple of generations to weed out those people who believe that anything outside of their sphere of understanding is sinful, sadly.

    Unfortunately, there is only two ways to make oneself look better. One requires hard work and humility. That is what you have done. GOOD JOB! 'Cause it is THE HARD PAINFUL WAY. Try to be the best you can be, take the high road, forgive. Yea.
    Then there's the easy way. To make others look bad, judge, tear down and just be mean ol' @$$holes. They gossip and it's not right.
    That's what you grew up dealin' with. Instead of pulling themselves up, they would trip you down to their level of laziness and contempt.
    So, you did good and are good and you are not a 'SINNER!'. You are a good soul. Stay strong and hold your head up high, and sit with your skirt low. (Like you have taught us!)

      The church in the US has always been more virulent with issues like sexuality or gender. One theory is their anti sex attitudes found root w the puritanism already here. It is why places like France and even Italy were in some ways more tolerant. Among other things, the idea of a celibate priest there was a bit of a jokem

    Muslims are way more strict. Even US conservatives are pretty liberal compared to around the world. But I agree the extreme conservative Catholics are painful. I just know even Americanized muslims to be really bad about things.

    Ive always heard that Dueterotomy spelled out that men you appear as women by wearing female clothing, or women who would dress in male attire, are an abomination before God. I chose to interpret that as when they chose to dress to worship another diety. It was the act of worshipping a false God, not the crossdresser that was a sin. You accept, even celebrate yorself, and that is what God would want. You love, support, teach and are caring of those around you. God would be pleased as well. You are kind and respectful, you are also who you are. Paola, I belive you have it right
