I love young woman like Jen, low to no maintenance , hearty, courageous, sweet spirited. And beautiful inside and out. I wish her joy , health, and happiness.
So cool that her parents were behind her and her Dad helped her get it together. Do it while you're young and see everything you want to. You have a lifetime to work and you can't put a price on experiencing your dream firsthand. Wish her much luck in her travels.
Sweet girl and very gracious to be willing to show us her private dwelling. Please just stay safe and don't trust anyone or what they tell you completely. The pan set is handy, just enough for one person and very compact. I have them. I use black Clips, used to hold papers together in a office, to help the two handles stay together when I'm cooking. I found that the handles came apart frequently, so those black Clips are very useful for holding the handles together on those pans.
As another dad I want to compliment Jen's dad for building the bed just the right length-- 5'-4" for Jen, and another 5" for her hair. Dads know things.
What a DEAR, BRIGHT, BEAUTIFUL , CREATIVE YOUNG WOMAN! ❤️. Her parents must be so proud of her! Thank you, Bob, for this delightful interview.. I love the way you encourage, your interviewees to open up about their dreams as well as the practical aspects of their Van life! 👍😊👏
Yes I have a 2015 transit connect and love it. I have traveled from Washington state to Oregon, California,Nevada,Wyoming,Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico Texas, Utah and Idaho!! I have a custom made memory foam mattress that is 30 wide x 63 long and 10 in thick.. luckily for me I am only 5’3”. The bed frame is from ikea, and fits perfect. It has enough clearance to store several totes underneath, and that is where I keep all basic necessities. I have a 3 storage sterlite for my clothing... I have dwindled down my need for things and clothing to just enough. Very, very minimal...I learned this when I walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain. I love the freedom to roam, and the transit connect provides safety because no windows for peepers and great gas mileage.
if living in a small van makes you look as fit, smart happy and content as this lady it makes me wonder why we ain't all doing it...all the best to her.
We all find happiness in different way. My path is not for all but for me it is right. And luxurious compared to living in a van. I'm just an average small town girl. : ) We have one stoplight in my hometown and it is surrounded by farm country. I grew up riding horses on my grandparents farm. We didn’t have extravagant things but we had enough and what matters most is that our home was happy.
Nice & cosy. The fact you have the head lining instead of boards Jen, gives you that slightly more height above your bed. All the best with your roaming & free spirit. Keep well & safe.x
I'm amazed to see a young person with such an adventurous spirit! I've never met a 20 sumthin that was so free spirited. I know she will enjoy life! I'm 40, and would love this lifestyle. Being strapped down to a shitty job and a conventional home sucks. Much love and happiness Jen. Stay blessed! 😉
I'm full time in a Connect and I'm not a small person. It's working well for me. I also have the 2010 and the height from floor to ceiling is roughly 50 inches... the same as a standard cargo van. I have zero complaints.
Great Video. So glad you interviewed her. I parked my 2000 Dodge ram and am just this month an owner of a 2013 Ford Transit Connect, I'm gonna LOVE it!
Bob, I can see why you are succeeding and helping others. If Jen can do this (interested to see how long...) anyone can, that's brave enough. Good luck Jen!
What a happy young lady, living the dream! She can pick up bartending work almost anywhere, and save up a ton of money to travel and be free! With her smile and personality, she will have no problems! She mentioned Florida, she could easily winter in Daytona or Key West, and work as much as she wanted! Or as little!!
Great smile, yes, but what do you mean by personality? I've never seen a bartender so shy. In any case, I'd rather she start a blog, she is easy on the eyes, and people could learn a lot from her. I don't think she wants to start a vlog though. She seems like she just wants to be free of everyday hassles, not take on more of them...
Bob, I just love Jen's amazing courage to follow her heart and innate sense of deepest inner trust, and her openness to go with the flow and see where life takes her! And I love your enthusiasm as you encourage us to be "as bold and brave as Jen"! It really does take a deep and growing sense of knowing who you are and exploring how you might express it... and grow into it... to live life so simply and boldly! As always, I love how you celebrate each person's spirit and journey... What a dear and endearing, yet empowering "nugget" of sparkling spirit and inspiration she is! So enjoying each of your videos as you introduce us to such beautiful people...following their beautiful hearts and dreams!
You can't even get a van for parts today for $3,000. Who would have ever believed vans would appreciate in value for the first time in freaking history.
She's pretty as hell. I wish her well. I feel like I'm living in a palace in my 24 ft travel trailer, but then I'm an old man now and not a young person like her.
Jen, I love your decisiveness in following your heart. The fact your parents have a positive attitude towards your endeavor, tells me you will do wonderfully in your travels. Your spunk and spirit are everpresent as you speak for yourself. Wise young woman who will go far (pun intended). I agree with the others who have suggested you start your own channel; I'm positive that, for many reasons, it would be well received! Wishing you safe and pleasurable journeys! THANKS for the interview, Bob!
Again, another great video Bob. Thank you for showing us so many diverse styles of living. Jen is a brave and inspiring young lady who is living life on her terms. I love it! Keep up the great work Bob, and good luck and stay safe Jen!
I really enjoyed the tour of Jen's Transit. I've always had my eye on those as a possible conversion, so it's good to see one in use. I hope Jen has a great journey.
i am a truck driver. here's a tip. if you go into any large truck stop and ask any driver if they have an extra shower ticket we usually have several extra on our cards and you can shower for free. don't be afraid to ask, most drivers are glad to help. have fun on your travels.
I love these Transit Connect tiny homes, they're so friggin adorable I can't even stand it! lol I'd love to live in one someday when it's just me. For now, I've got a 30 ft Gulf Stream RV that I'm renovating so that my 4 kids & I can fit (and live) in comfortably for full-time living. I watch SO many of these conversion videos, I sometimes forget that I don't have to build everything myself from scratch & I start feeling overwhelmed, and then I shut down. Seeing Jen's home is SO refreshing & inspiring to me since I plan on doing things like her, largely using stuff I've already got in my home, picked up at the thrift store, or found salvaging at the local dump. I'm no carpenter and don't want to have to build anything if I can help it for my 1st attempt at creating a tiny home. Eventually, I do plan on doing it all from scratch. Before I got my RV I got a 35 ft school bus for only $1000.00 that I want to convert into a tiny home someday. The bus doesn't run though so that's why I got the RV about 2 yrs after I got the bus.
If my Prius ever quits on me, I think I will look into getting a Transit Connect. I will miss my gas mileage but all that extra space looks great! Very nice and simple build. I think it is great.
@@rhonj4603 I am currently in Tennessee sharing an apartment for the last 8 months. I have met someone here and am working and saving to get us both out on the road together. I have loved living out of my van and can not wait to get back out there.

Another awesome nomad! It would be interesting to make up a personality quiz and see if all these lady nomads have similar traits! I mean traits like clear-thinking in chaotic situations, rational thinkers, not impulsive, enjoy challenges, etc. Jen seems calm and collected and even though she hasn’t got it ALL figured out, she seems steadfast in the knowledge that she made the right decision. All the best to you, Jen! 💕
Awesome organization! It's always inspiring to see young people following their own path early on and not falling into the trap of living their lives "the right way". Best of luck, Jen!

Hey Jen, thanks for sharing! I have wanted to do exactly what you are doing for almost 40 years, isn't that crazy? I still have 22 months to go before I retire and start exploring and living with the land. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Pacific northwest. I wish you the very best of a safe and happy journey.
I really enjoyed this video . I like seeing people do what they choose and not really worrying about the end. That is the adventure . You are a good mentor Bob.
There's lots of seasonal work in Alaska's salmon canneries and fisheries. Many friends of mine make 12-16K in 3 mths, then split to travel Asia or Latin America, then go back for another season the next yr. U could use that $$ for this sort of lifestyle too! Friendly tip for everyone! :)
Hi Jen, you got a great deal and everything you need! Good for you! I'll be on the road soon, and maybe see you out there! Take care and stay safe! Pam
A young lady that wants to get out there andtravel and meet people and see what life has in store for her. Jen, I applaud you for your decision to at least try it on and see if it fits for you. Thanks Bob for a nice video.
Jen has it going on! Keeping it real and prioritizing her genuine spirited nature; so honestly beautiful. Thank you for having shared her real-time adventuring journey's start!
Almost fascinated... Now interesting is how true got all this situation in her mind but wish her never loose this shinny smile like a child. Please keep an eye on her to watch her passing through the in rv life and see again this smile. Keep us motivate... Thank you
She is the most stylish van dweller I've ever seen. Good for her. I do wish people who have vans like these would build their bed on the other side. I have a new style TC and having the board behind the driver might cause severe injury if rear ended while in the drivers seat.
For anyone watching: Buy tea tree oil, or lavender or bergamot oil. About 30 drops into 8 ounces water in spray bottle. Spray this onto wipes or wash cloth that's wet. This will clean your body just fine. Tea Tree and Bergamot are disinfectants, so you will and the vehicle will smell nice-n-clean. Lavender, of course, everyone loves, so this is good to use, as well. Bergamot has a rather citrus, lemon-like scent. Tea Tree oil is used in massage work (I went thru massage school back in 1992, and that's when I learned about tea tree oil). It does have a strong, medicinal odor and some people might not like that scent, but I think it grows on you. If you end up having bad odors in your van/car/RV, use tea tree spray into the air and on material (air out vehicle, of course, to dry the environment).
AL CY lol. So, will this oil stuff break loose the dead skin cells? Will it wash off sweaty, nasty, cheesy spots? Seems like nice smell wipes would only mask the nastiness. It would trick others into thinking you are clean. Hot water, soap, buff puff pads, back scrubber, wash clothes, and exfoliants are what’s needed.
Great buy Jen! Love all the room you have under your bed! I thought about the Transit Connect but at my age I just can't do the bending over thing. I got a Transit high top. Great positive attitude! Thanks Bob for another great interview!
Minnesota represents ! I hope you'll consider starting a YT channel, Jen - I'd love to follow your adventures and live vicariously. Wishing you all the best from Rosemount.
i was looking at van reviews for ford transit the other day (for photography business) - amazing to have youtube play this randomly thereafter. brilliant. hope you are having a great time Jen!
She is a beautiful girl, people on this channel and everything i see around this lifestyle is amazing and inspiring. Being around all these bitter stuck up dried up people in the bay area and contrasting with your video has closed the deal for me. Im off with my girlfriend and future wife soon to actually live and travel we just turned thirty. after the kids come we will buy some land. We will also likely travel europe for a bit. Thank you so much for your videos and work i can see that you are trying to free people from the stagnant impending poverty that seems to threaten almost everyone in the country. Society does not have all the answers thats for sure. I will take one year to build and save and after that i will be ready to live like this full time. Thank you once again for all of your work and i hope to see you out on the road one day.
I guess this life experience will only be a part of her life. Like she tired about living in a house, so she moved out. She is brave, pioneer! I may try this lifestyle when I get retired. Be safe girl, and good luck 👍🏼🍀
You are just so good at doing these interviews! Every time I watch one of your interviews I am more & more impressed! Your reviews about useful things for camping and if a service is good or not! Both so useful to know! Keep doing your interviews & reviews both are great and so enjoyable/useful to watch/know! Judie
She's a very cute young lady who is new at this so she will learn to dwindle down and become a minimalist whether she chooses to or not, lol. Her experience as a bar-tender gives her the experience she needs on how to deal with idiots, etc and she sounds like a very strong willed individual so I wish her all the best out there. That type of Ford van is actually a well built model even though it is a little small but she seems to be fine with it so, that is the important part. Another fantastic video of great young folks living the good life on the road. Thanks for sharing Bob.

A young lady that wants to get out there andtravel and meet people and see what life has in store for her. Jen, I applaud you for your decision to at least try it on and see if it fits for you.
Thanks Bob for a nice video.
Bravo Jen! Looks like you're making great use of your resources. Good luck with your adventure!
Jen has it going on! Keeping it real and prioritizing her genuine spirited nature; so honestly beautiful. Thank you for having shared her real-time adventuring journey's start!
So inspiring, thank you so much! I admire you so much for taking the time to share!
Once again Bob, THANK YOU for the van tries! She seems so sweet....and you are the best!
Almost fascinated... Now interesting is how true got all this situation in her mind but wish her never loose this shinny smile like a child. Please keep an eye on her to watch her passing through the in rv life and see again this smile. Keep us motivate... Thank you
Where is Jen now? I remember seeing the clip when it first posted!
I love the way, your just letting it flow ! Money will come, just keep on !!!!
I wonder if this life style worked out for this lovely young lady.. A year later. A pleasure to watch this video❤
It did work out. I love traveling in my van; been coast to coast now in it.
Fantastic.. 👌
She is the most stylish van dweller I've ever seen. Good for her. I do wish people who have vans like these would build their bed on the other side. I have a new style TC and having the board behind the driver might cause severe injury if rear ended while in the drivers seat.
Incredible young person so positive and upbeat its good to hear she had overwhelming support from her parents to explore our world!!
Wow. Love how she is able to have all her cosmetics in a nice station and also everything is organized.
her smile 😊❤
I do use oils! They are wonderful : ) I put them on my baby wipes when I do a quick wash up and in my wash tub water.
Nancy Nightingale Hi! Which brands of these oils do you recommend?
Charming and attractive young lady. Enjoy travel now while you can and the memories will last a lifetime. Thanks Bob
Great buy Jen! Love all the room you have under your bed! I thought about the Transit Connect but at my age I just can't do the bending over thing. I got a Transit high top. Great positive attitude! Thanks Bob for another great interview!
I bought a 2015 connect in April lived in it from day of purchase to end of June...love my van and definitely love it.
Amazing, I felt sorry for myself for not having shoes, till I saw someone with no Feet...
She is a prim example of that... God Bless Her..
I used to feel sorry for myself that I didn’t have a girlfriend till I saw a man with no hands.🤭
Keep posting theses,I love watching them...best wishes from UK.Thankyou.
inspiring human and taking the steps and talking about it later. Thanks guys for sharing the journey
She is a beautiful soul! I'm so glad that she's living her dreams! At 61 y/o, I wish I had done the same thing at her age! Great video...thanks!
Minnesota represents !
I hope you'll consider starting a YT channel, Jen - I'd love to follow your adventures and live vicariously. Wishing you all the best from Rosemount.
Jan is cute, courageous, innocent young little thing. Bless
Sweet lady, nice interview Bob!🐙🐶
i was looking at van reviews for ford transit the other day (for photography business) - amazing to have youtube play this randomly thereafter. brilliant. hope you are having a great time Jen!
Be safe girl, and good luck 👍🏼🍀
love her free spirit! a great example of freedom. Thank you for sharing.
I'm very happy for her - she is adaptable and creative.
The wisdom of simplicity. The luxury of efficiency. I,'ve advocated this for years...you are living it....Well done.
May God give you strength to continue your journey girl 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
You are just so good at doing these interviews! Every time I watch one of your interviews I am more & more impressed! Your reviews about useful things for camping and if a service is good or not! Both so useful to know! Keep doing your interviews & reviews both are great and so enjoyable/useful to watch/know! Judie
Great job jen, congrats, enjoy and keep smiling😊
She's a very cute young lady who is new at this so she will learn to dwindle down and become a minimalist whether she chooses to or not, lol. Her experience as a bar-tender gives her the experience she needs on how to deal with idiots, etc and she sounds like a very strong willed individual so I wish her all the best out there. That type of Ford van is actually a well built model even though it is a little small but she seems to be fine with it so, that is the important part. Another fantastic video of great young folks living the good life on the road. Thanks for sharing Bob.
Jen seems to be a nice person. Hope she will have a wonderful time!
Very independent young lady! Another great interview Bob. Thank you both so much.
