FINALLY!! this is perfect for my business. This is gonna replace my push mowing and gate mower. I only put about 25-50hour a year on that mower and this fits my budget way better. It's hard to justify 7k plus for a mower I may use once per day. Great job on listening to the consumer and addressing that need in our industry!
i absolutely love my 32 and i was using mine as my only mower for 8 months. it’s just a beast. i put a mulch kit on with the discharge plate able to come off . i also flipped the rims around let’s me put a wider tire on it. finally i doubled up on the blades. i’ve had to change belts 1 time since i got it. my stander x 52 i’m on my 3 rd set of belts and have had it half as long
I have two 36 intensity stand ons I purchased this year. They process leaves in small back yards like I've never seen. Cuts tarping and dragging to the truck loader way down from previous years.
I just bought the 36 Stander be this week mowed my first Lawns with it, dang I upgraded because of a HAVE to- but now after using this machine I WANT to do Lawn Service
Great machine for starters. I'm currently running 2016 32 stander. Looking at 48 intensity in the future. Shorter and lighter than any mowers out there.
Nice, but my wishlist is for a 32 inch that equals the Stander ZX series, more speed (your already at a handicap from the width) and more HP for mulching in heavy conditions mowing at higher speeds and reclaiming overgrown lawns. Although I like wright better, scag v-ride 32 has my eye with 8.5 miles/hr. (which is still too slow for my liking.
Any chance you’ll end up making a residential version of this? I’d like something small and compact like this to store easy in the garage; but it definitely don’t need to be that beefy for my lawn once a week.
Ed when r u going to make a hydro 32 walk behind with floating deck? Be the first manufacturer to do it theres a big need for it just like the standee b 32 with floating deck. Wright know every brand makes 32 stander but no hydro 32 floating deck.
Had a 98" fixed deck 36" & 08 " fixed deck 32" repowered in 14" now with 4.800 hrs whaaat" yup been in the shop only 3 times once for spindle, then motor , 2 nd clutch, do all other services myself" original hydro pumps with those hrs, yup " but are do for replacing, this is the machine I had in my mind years ago" now it's here basic & bulletproof"
Does it shares the same transmission with the previous 32”? I own one and I hate it... Super slow, and no suspension. Want to replace it with the newest model, but won’t be buying it if it’s not faster than the one I own.
I have just under an acre with a fenced in pool area that needs cutting. I’m looking at the stander b 36” as a do all yard and inside pool area. Is the stander b good for a homeowner or is it over kill. I like that it’s slightly smaller than a zero turn. I would prefer a smaller bag than the Giant one that hangs off the back of a zero turn. I know depending on length or grass but how many times would I have to empty the grass gobbler on roughly .75 acres.
The Stander B is commercial-grade but we see many residential users buying them. Grass gobbler capacity depends on many variables like how thick and tall the grass is but with a small deck on the 36" it would be manageable to bag .75 acres.
If one side (hydro) seems stronger than the other what could that be? I have a 32 stander B 300 hours and it’s right side is a lot weaker then the left side.
Yes, the Stander B is a commercial grade mower. If you are looking to put a ton of hours on a machine, we recommend looking at the Stander I or X to get that extra production
Glad u finally made a 32 in floating deck as the fixed deck just didnt seem very practical. Only Question i have is why u didnt go as low as 1 1/2 inches for height of cut?
You can make it mow 1 1/2 inches by flipping over the caster wheel mounts. They are offset. You can also tweak the minimum deck height through the hangers.
@@ztrmowersnz ok but if u are going to spend that kind of money on a machine and time poor i dont wont to be wasting time stuffing around with that to get it to mow what is should already be able to do . lol i must have high expectations. i was excited when they went from fixed to floating decs as floating as its more practical but get hit with the height of cut problem. Cant wait for more 32 inch machines to come out ans compare practicality of them.
Just bought one love it but issues. Cut quality. Front caster one is a floater. Trying to re level the deck it leaves a of set line if you try to strip. If cutting low.
Always impressed with Wright Manufacturing Standers. Unfortunately I’m not a proud owner of one due to I’m old school and prefer walk behind mowers. Maybe one day you will offer a 36 inch walk behind with floating deck. Although your Two-wheel Velkes are awesome!
MajorImpact I have the Scag SWZT 36 hydro with the quick 1 lever height adjust. The only mower (To my knowledge) of it’s kind. Awesome machine, Truly the most universal walk-behind mower on the planet (In my opinion).
MajorImpact thanks for actually reading my comments. Most of the time no one reads them or never reply. Yes, the Stander B seems like a great mower for the price but was hoping Ed Wright would offer a 36 walk behind with a quick height adjust as well. Scag (SWZT36) is the only brand that sells it. I use to own a Toro Grandstand and sold it simply because hydro walk behinds are more universal and safer. The Velke is a game changer for walk behinds.
MajorImpact sounds like a stander would be great for your type of yards (flat). Stand-on mowers are more comfortable to ride on versus on a sulky. Plus easier to learn the controls (steering). For me, I mow everything under the sun, flat, hilly, ditches, swamps and jungles.
Hey Ed my brother is ready to buy a new mower he has now a Encore Fuzion 34 that's 7 years old and it's about to go he does about 30 residential accounts a week plus a pretty big church he loves my 36 intensity but he finds it a little costly I told him about the 36 stander B do you think that would be a good mower for him if yes when will they be available here in Miami I usually buy from power mower sales or All Dade lawnmowers
Can we please get a compare with the Staris 32… I’m so ready to sale and go all Wright but my closet dealer is 45 mins away… the dealer up the street is exmark and family owned and they are always booked out smh. The younger son sometimes hook me up but the dealer that was farther alway always gave me company discounts and always helped me out with my problems as best as they can. I’m really ready to make the switch… I have a 32 Staris and 51 lazer z.
We typically don't do comparisons with other brands, however, this would be a great question to ask in the Official Wright Mowers Forum Facebook page for some honest feedback.
Hello Ed Wright. I am in my 70's and mow my 1000 sqft property with a 21" Honda mower. It's starting to get difficult for me to complete due to knee problems. I would like a stander (to fit through gate) and I think the 36" Wright Stander would work just fine. It would be for my yard only. So... would the Small B 36" or 32" be the model for me? Or the Intensity? Finally... thanks for the links.
Hi Ken, Yes, the 32B would be the perfect mower for your situation. The intensity is a heavier mower but you wouldn't put enough hours on it to make it worth the extra $. -Ed
@@MajorImpact Sorry Major I was not paying attention. Yes.. just under 10K. Now.. I bought a Toro Timemaster for my yard only. With my slowed pace it takes me a little over an hour. About the same as my 21" Honda. For me the Toro is not a time saver. It is an energy saver. After the 3 year warranty, I may get fhat rider. Thanks for getting back and happy mowing. I could probably weed wack 1000 sqft.
Price point on these 36”? I’ve found them online for $5700ish. But your site is advertised for more. I am a part timer doing residential yards. I’m tired of the sulky and gear driven toro walk behind I have
I’m a PT contractor too and I have a sulky on my 48” snapper pro walk great mower but my back is taking a beating. My dealer called me today and ask am I interested in a 52”Vride 2 with 7 hours for $6300. I heard that year had some issues 2018. I might have to save to purchase a stand on mower next fall we’ll see
You can get good used heavier duty mowers at the same price point as the stander b. Heard scag is the best cut. I have found a toro grandstand on Facebook marketplace in my area for $6800 with 18hr. Grandstands are typically $10k new. So I’m debating on keeping the 36” for backyards and get a 48” or 52” grandstand.
Does a 32" stander have to be run at full throttle? I'm just starting out on them and going slow so dont see the need to crank it up past 3/4. seems like i'm wasting fuel and making more noise than i need to for the speed i'm travelling at?
I’ve had 36 inch stand behind mowers for many years now and have learned that I could usually run them at half to three-quarter throttle most of the time. The only downside to that is the wobble you get in the belts and the wear that comes from them depending on how they are set up on the deck. I’d rather go through belt for a year then pump through a lot of gas, make a lot of noise, and burn through the outer edge of my blades.
Mike W how much did you get yours for if you don’t mind me asking? Just bought one yesterday but after viewing some videos I feel like I got ripped off.

As a rule of thumb, a wider wheel base and bigger tires are going to give better hill stability. The 48" and 52" Stander B is going to hold a hill better than the 32 and 36
It’s just cutting width of deck which is the actual blades. The deck would of course have to atleast a inch or more bigger on both sides depending on deck material, chutes, maybe tires etc
