oscoe At 14 saw the great Jim Clark in Melbourne driving a 49 in the non lotus colour scheme for the 1st time . The sound from that beautiful Cosworth V8 with its “ megaphone” exhaust bouncing off advertising billboard & the large grandstand.is in my mind even now . He was throwing that car around too was about 40 minutes or so. The best Motor Racing moment ever for me. A bittersweet memory because he was dead about 7 weeks later. Always treated young kids like me as the gentleman he was off the track. On the track he was ruthless.
Without question. I was lucky enough to be at Montreal in 1995, when there were at least three configurations, and three V12 manufacturers, iirc, all sounding different. You could just tell where a particular car was around the track. Back then everything sounded great, but this engine was greater.
first time i saw a live f1 in monza was 1993. It was mindblowing, first time a car passed beside me at full throttle on the straight it was like if that engine entered into my body from the my right ear passed trough my chest and went out from the left one. unbelievable
Andrea Roll my first experience was at Montreal on the back straight after the hairpin. Mansell was within 10 feet of me at full throttle, the sound was like being slapped in the face
I think the pitch is too high. It could sound more powerful with less cylinders but with a bigger capacity. This just sounds like a dentist tool. 80s turbo 4s sound the best
Great memories. When I was 5 years old I heard one of these for the first time. It was the first practice lap of the event and I was on a pedestrian bridge over the main straight with no ear plugs. The sound went right through my body and I’ve been hooked ever since. For me nothing else can replace that sound.
Ha same thing happened to me at 5 or 6 also, except it scared the sh*t out of me. I think the bridge was covered on the sides and I didn't see them coming. Probably my first jump scare. Unfortunately for my dad I asked him to go home and he complied. I do love the sound and always enjoyed it from a distance but at the time it was way too loud lol
Same for me. My granddad took me to a racing event in Denmark once, and they had tons of fast road cars. It was a bit damp, and we’d been looking at the 412 T2 in the pits. We were sure we wouldn’t get a chance to see or hear it, since it was damp and they only had slicks. The skies cleared a bit and after half an hour or so we could hear something completely different revving up in the pits at the other end of the track, and we were like “That’s gotta be the F1 car”. Sure enough, the thing went by quite slowly for a shakedown lap. Already, it was mesmerizing. Next lap was full send, and I remember us standing at the middle of the straight when it came screaming by. My god, the sensation! This was probably 10 years ago or something, but it is one of the cleares memories I have from my childhood! Never heard anything like it before or since. We were both just looking at each other in awe. Will never forget it!
Love how you can hear them long before you see them and long after they're out of sight, miss the days of these cars and Murray walker shouting over the top.

Coming to the track earlier it looked like no racing would take place for a while because of a thick fog. But shortly before the session was to start it pretty much all cleared up. You could hear them revving up the engines in the garage for minutes untl they finally took to the track. The first two F1 cars I ever saw or heard in real life were the two Ferrari's. On Kemmel Straight, at full throttle... that really is something you never forget for the rest of your life. They always used to do an installation lap on the sunday morning. I think they used to change the engine or some other major component over night. The pause allowed us to get our breath back a bit. The rest of the day was spent in awe and amazement. This video took me all the way back to that day. Not only the Ferrari had a distinctive sound (and feel!). I remember the Ligier for example really made your belly wiggle with pleasure. I did hear the beautiful sound of the v12, and I can honestly say.The best engine sound I have ever heard, it did send chills down my spine every time the driver changed gears.
Not just the best sounding but the best looking f1 car as well. So clean lines, no lifted up nose, no extra wings flaps and such shit just pure machinery... good ol’ times.
Jack 68 f1 ciao classe perché presumo tu sia del 68 . Effettivamente l anno scorso a Montecarlo mi veniva angoscia a sentire i motori degli aspirapolvere .

2018-2019 ain't too shabby, they have real high hp and speeds all throughout racing, DTM series, Le Mans prototypes, MotoGP. All blistering fast right now. It comes and goes in cycles
@@domeniconegro yeah not really, they understood that technology was useful to go faster but that happened a bit later. There were cars that were totally unchanged for years, the one reach was the top speed and acceleration, even in the 80s there was close to zero downforce. It all started as racing, and racing only. Just like kids but with bigger toys. Then it became bigger and bigger and they understood that the tires did a lot of the work, aerodynaics was useful... if you see the available tech that was actually put in early F1 you'd be like "they're ignoring a bunch of things in order to build a better car which they actually know, even at those times".
It's when you're stood near them that the true beauty of the internal combustion engine noise is revealed. You don't simply hear it.. You FEEL it. It rattles your bones and vibrates your tissues. It's a beautiful experience.

Very nice video! It's really hard to find good material on the T2. I still have the very large original factory poster with a side view of this car. My absolute favourite and the last of the real F1 cars...
Thanks for making this video, i agree with many others, its the best era of F1 engine sound, car bodywork (looks) amount of technology etc. love the crackle and pops when they are out of the throttle downshifting and popping during up-shifts. :) this has to be the best F1 video online. good job.
Bozzy needs so many thank you's for all the amazing footage and this is my childhood right here the sound I will never forget and the burble on the downshifts is just amazing 😍
Wow, this brings back memories. The greatest sounding cars of all time were the Ferrari F1 cars of this era. The first time I ever heard a Formula One car was when I went to 1993 Australian Grand Prix and hearing Gerhard Berger's Ferrari come past as I made my way to the stand to watch free practice. Totally shocked me how loud and how great it sounded. As good as this 95 spec engine sounds I do think the 3.5 litre engines sounded a little better. Listening to these engines at full roar or gearing down or the explosions you heard from the engines as they geared down into corners was truly something to behold.
Remember being a kid at the 95 Silverstone grand prix standing in the crowd on the old straight during qualifying, would never forget the sound of that car. You could hear Alesi and Berger downshifting at the other end of the track as the other cars streamed past lol.
at 3:30 I literally got the chills on my back man, this is madness. I was fortunate enough to be out on a GP in 1994. I've been to a few GP's since but they don't compare
2:14 is so good. Like you're just about to hear the magic and then you don't and then you do once again but now it went right past you, so much better. Nice delayed gratification lol

I was born in 1979 and I say the same thing all the time. Geeezzzee 1979 looks like such an old date lmao
Oh man, this divine racket sends goosebumps up and down my spine. Thank you so much for that video.
GibMirVideos12 No problem! ;)
nothing can beat this

Gordon Murray's new T50 will be the closet we ever get again... 🤤
McLaren MP4/6 1991: Excuse me
Oh, so *THIS* is what F1 sounds like.
What thay ever should
The new cars still sound like F1 but it’s just different sounds.
Yes
Thanks for posting this video. I spent many race days at Monza as a mechanic in F3, Sportscars (Mclaren F1 GTR and Lister Storm) and F3000. Monza is a magic circuit and that footage of the 412 is awesome. I'm subscribed mate! Thank You.
No problem! Thank you so much!
Maaan... that furious scream... *GLORIOUS!!!*
once you've heard it in real life, your hooked for life
+Luke Foster I was at Spa 1995, i know..
+PeppersGhost I've been at Spa multiple times.. Love it!
V12 is love, V12 is life
As a young boy (2 year's old), i was at the Nürburgring. I miss those V12's😭
hoonigans best damn right.. Montreal 1998-2006... Indy 2000,2002,2003,2004
I think my last dying wish will be to hear this engine in person.
MagnetNerd i heard it last saturday in spielberg! There was a legend parade after the qualifying for the f1 grand prix! You won´t believe how awesome this car was :D
you felt every gearshift!! it was one of the best experiences in my life
same
I’d wanna drive it instead of hearing it :)
My memories of getting closer to the circuit and hearing these engines from such far away distance gave me chills of excitement.
I prefer the 2004-2005 cars personally
This sound is like an orchestra of machinery an iconic legendary sound from a formula 1 car.
00:46 for me that distant sound is the best an F1 car can produce holy f*** thats BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Calm down calm down Sebastian.
- Maurizio to Sebastian Vettel.
I think you'll enjoy this LeMans car then: ua-cam.com/video/SJBmSxNzSbY/v-deo.html - the 787B has a great distant sound!
@@TheChiraagG Man thank you for sharing that, perfection!!!
Grande video .
Ciao e buona serata friend.
questa è la suoneria del mio cell......tanto per chiarire.......SINFONIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring back ***** v12 !!!
"Vettel 2019 (Russia GP)"
hahaha.. music!
There will be a time when we think back and say: Please bring back the V6 at least.
Bilal Khalid oh yeah you & the rest of us will.....when F1 cars will become pretty much RC cars lolol. Driverless things powered by electric motors 😂
V6 hybrids r fast but they don't have that beautiful noise like the v12 had miss it
Only because he can't win in a dyson hoover car.
This brings a tear to my eyes.🥹 Shame we'll never hear this glorious music in F1 ever again. 😢
Doubt.
Once F1 decided to be the pinnacle of technology, it ceased to be the pinnacle of racing.
u r 100% right..
2018-2019 ain't too shabby, they have real high hp and speeds all throughout racing, DTM series, Le Mans prototypes, MotoGP. All blistering fast right now. It comes and goes in cycles
What a beautiful comment
Uhm, what? F1 has always been about reaching the pinnacle of technology. Since it's birth.

-Type: 12 cylindres en V à 65°
-Cylindrée: 2 997 cm3
-Puissance: 730 ch à 14 500 tr/min
1hh merci enfin un francais
Ouiiii deux français
A correction, 75°, not 65°
yes your quite right, but the power reached up to 800hp and even more (almost 900hp!) at 17'000 rpm!
R.I.P. the last 12 cyl.with a superb sound...
0:46 is possibly the scariest sound coming from a car I've ever heard, you just know its a monster rolling along!!
Yeah and after it passes you can still hear it for 30 seconds
blown diffuser back in the V8 era(2011) was probably scarier, but this is pure symphony
There isn't anything sounding better than this till date tbh
Jesus, those downshift's...
F1 comeback we miss you!
me: it doesnt sound that great
driver: hits throttle
me: oh
It's when you're stood near them that the true beauty of the internal combustion engine noise is revealed. You don't simply hear it.. You FEEL it.
It rattles your bones and vibrates your tissues.
It's a beautiful experience.
Dio ti benedica, è un video meraviglioso e da pelle d'oca.
Grazie mille!

Hi 19Bozzy92 , i have the warm up of the Ferrari 1994 412 tb1
on my page and Ferrari 1985 v6 Turbo.I want to share it as much as possible to the people who miss the the real Formula 1.Thank You :)
°o° ...who's the driver? gran video!
This is very precious video * _ * there is not much of this car on the internet that is showing it in motion and it's beauty without commentary. There are many tapes however because it is seen as the best sounding formula 1 car ever. hard to disagree.
Very nice video! It's really hard to find good material on the T2. I still have the very large original factory poster with a side view of this car. My absolute favourite and the last of the real F1 cars...
This literally made me cry, i love f1 but i wish i could have been there when these cars raced the tarmac
Muscia divina! Quando mi sento giù di corda ascolto e vedo questo bolide sfrecciare e faccio il pieno di adrenalina! W la Ferrari sempre!
I could listen to those for hours on end. Those engines were musical instruments.
1:18 I cannot imagine witnessing this awesome atmosphere.
What a symphony.
Thanks for making this video, i agree with many others, its the best era of F1 engine sound, car bodywork (looks) amount of technology etc.
love the crackle and pops when they are out of the throttle downshifting and popping during up-shifts. :) this has to be the best F1 video online. good job.
Thank you so much!
Epic, can get enough! Great video
Thank you!
Bozzy needs so many thank you's for all the amazing footage and this is my childhood right here the sound I will never forget and the burble on the downshifts is just amazing 😍
tears in my eyes....thx
+guardian1977 Idd het is zo mooi... Mechanische muziek.
Batteries are for lady's toys. V12's are for racecars. I'm with Seb.
Amen to that
Totally True
True Electric is for Soyboys
Why not both? A performance hybrid setup that combines a lightweight NA V12/V10/V8 engine with electric PUs would be awesome
@@gaspermedved5803 we found a triggered soyboy it seems
I didn't think it was possible to get goosebumps on top of goosebumps, but there you go... 😁
so top end and efficient - no no tork at all - i love the v12
0:45 is just the best! as you hear it coming around bends and shifting wow
what i would have given to see this live at the time
cs512tr especially a free reving before it speeds, I guess the whole segment from 0.45 onwards is pretty decent to what I wanna hear from a F1.
Your ears won't be so happy
thats right! cool eargasm ever
Yes!
This 95 Ferrari is still elite. In 2019
I don’t care if its slower, i want these historical sounds back.
WATCH LAWNMOWER RACING THEN
The Ferrari 333SP sounds even better.
La voiture d’Alesi et de Berger à Monza, un must
this is adrenaline , pure engine power , the best sound in human history
I had to watch this without audio and still enjoyed it. To me, this was the era with the best-looking F1 cars.
Boy I miss these engines.❤️
thats sound, thats emotions!!! so proud that i could hear the real F1 2001 in Spa!!!
Nothing comes close to a v12 sound absolute symphony I can fall a sleep listening to this... Good Night World... 💤
When racing cars were beautiful , sheer engineering and design, with an engine sound that gives me goose bumps every time.
Nice delayed gratification lol
this is the true voice of Enzo Ferrari ❤🇮🇹🏁
0:46 imagine hearing that sound late at night.
Beautiful sounds to sleep to
Who is here after Russia 2019 and Seb's Radio: Bring back the fkn V12?
Every so often I come back to this vid just to reminisce at how it USED to be...how I miss those days.
3:36 when the car accelerates there is this amazing undertone type of sound that I LOVE
Anytime im feeling sad i come to this video and it automatically puts a smile on my face.
Well this video bring tears to my eyes. Back then the cars were something else.
we want it back ...atmospheric and at least 8 cylinders
+Jeroen Wubbels Bring back the V10's. And make it a proper drivers championship, manual H gate shift with a clutch pedal. Anyone else remember heel and toe downshifts?
+MrCalumsdad ferrari could of makes this to a hybrid, just like the laferrari.
nah screw the clutches, just want the 2004 v10 sound is ok
Could not agree more
@@MrCalumsdad hearing the throttle blipping on downshifts would make the trip to the race worth it alone !!! With PROPER sounding n/a engines ! Until then here's a big F@%K off to the FIA !!!
The most beautiful F1 car of ever
WHen someone asks why you don't like F1 anymore, just put this video...
yes indeed my friend..nowaday's it's horrible...
It Sounds TERABEL. If I Wanted To Hear Lawnower Raecing I Would Go To A Demo Darby Budddyyy
F1 SOUNDS BETER IN THE V10 EARA BECAUS THE ENGIN IS MORE BETER AND I REMEMBER GROWING UP IN THE 80S AND THINKING THE CAR SOUND LIKE TRASH SO YOUR LYEING BUB.
