Thanks for watching! So which one do you like best out of the cases I showed? And if you have another case you love that is not shown in this video, what is it?
I I have been a Samsung phone user since the first edition of the Galaxy and it was not hard to choose the S23-Ultra - it literally took me less than 60 seconds to make the choice. What has been surprisingly hard has been deciding on the right case to buy that satisfies all my concerns: 1) protect $1200 phone/screen from damage 2) protect camera lens 3) comfortable to use (nice grip and smooth buttons) 4) clean look When I bought my phone, I ordered a green Samsung brand silicon case with it. It is ultra-thin and looks very sheik. I like the green color and wrap around look. So criteria #4 was satisfied. However, the thinness of the material completely missed the 3 other criteria. I mean, there is literally not even 1mm of silicon protection above the cameras! Return item. I had already narrowed my choices to dbrand, Mous, Spigen, and Otter. Given my criteria, Mous is kind of an obvious choice: it mostly satisfies all my criteria. I like the way the skin on dbrand wraps around the lenses: its very clean! However, the website is utterly lacking in terms of factual info about their product. I was leaning away from Otter because of the recent reviews of its quality decline. However, one of the things I really liked about Otter is that the side protection is very pretty substantial. A lot of s23-U cases get complaints about the side protection not preventing screen damage, even when the phone is not dropped from very high. It’s a bit of a design flaw with the S23-U: they have a lot of really nice tech specs, but they also have a phone with sharp edges that is more prone to damage than competitors. Its really the only negative I could think of when I choose the phone. So, my decision was to buy the phone, and then figure out the right case to put it in. The thing I like most about Spigen is that it is a name brand that offers a potentially good protection for the camera lenses - I really like the idea of sliding something over the lens to protect them. The problem is that the cases that have this feature have a track record of too many failures. If I could add anything to all the options, I would say “give me a durable and solid lenses protection”…certainly something a lot more durable than the hard plastic used by Spigen. Thanks again for your awesome review of top choices! Overall, after watching your video, I decided to add Caseology to my list and remove Otter. Curious: out of Mous, dbrand, and Caseology, which two models do you think most satisfy my 4 criteria?
Best case ever had in all phones i had, Samsung official green leather on a green s23 ultra, its amazing, keeps same signature and feels like skin from back, first time ever case looks almost as good as naked one, must try, got it with a special discount for $16, maybe regular price is around 40+
I went with the Spigen Thin Fit at first, really not into the bulky cases. Then picked up the Pitaka for the MagSafe capability and being even thinner.
Josh, I have watched a number of videos on the Galaxy S23 Ultra and your video is, by far, the most comprehensive I have seen so far, so thank you so much!…I wish I watched this earlier, would have saved a lot of time.
Good info. Thank you. I have watched or listened to so many about which case to get. I really don't know what to get. I want the best protection and a light color, without a sticker, skin. I have only used Otterbox for years. I'm willing and interested in less expensive options since there are definitely some available. I want it to sit flat, not wobble from raised camera area. I don't mind adding lens protectors. One case slides closed over the lenses. I might try that one.
Love the dbrand grip on my S23U.. feels so well-built and sturdy. It's also ridiculously grippy so I understand it's not for everyone but imho it's a case well worth the money. Plus enjoy getting to change the skin if I feel like it. Currently on my 2nd Damascus one. You can never go wrong with the Triple Black
No I have not tried the OtterBox. It's actually been a few years since I have tried an OtterBox case. Seeing how there's other cases for a fraction of the price offering the same protection
How tf do you clean the screen. I got smudges on it. Im waiting for my case but its taking long to arrjve so i just used it without any protection so theres smudges
Great content. My top cases for my note20 ultra. Is. Supcase unicorn beetle pro, poetic spartan, DEXNOR shielder, otterbox defender pro, UAG monarch, ESR,
@Josh_Quinonez nope way over priced. I have a screen protector on I'm talking there is no front protection for the screen other than the protector (that only keeps it from getting scratched lol

I dig the supcase unicorn beetle pro, but would the front frame scratches the sides of the phone?
@@EdwinBudiman-e5g in my experience no. I haven't noticed any scratching.
@@Josh_Quinonez great, thanks for the reply!

Best screen protector for otterbox defender? Needs to be easy to take off and leave no damage to the screen or stickiness
