Our Mission
Founded in 1997 in Cedar City Utah, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, wildlife and environmental education, and the development of the Cedar Canyon Nature Park.
Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release
The Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah (SWF) cares for more than 100 sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife annually. Restoring them to health and returning them to the wild is our primary goal, but for those that cannot be released due to disabilities, the Cedar Canyon Nature Park (CCNP) can provide them with a permanent home in a natural setting while enhancing our visitors educational experience at the park.
Informing, Educating and Inspiring
The SWF provides over 100 educational programs reaching over 30,000 people annually. We believe providing educational outreach programs to schools, scout groups and community events, with focus on children and families, will make the greatest impact in preserving our wildlife, the environment, our public lands and our resources for future generations to enjoy.

Thanks for giving them a chance at life :)
We love the releases!
I love how they turn their heads every time they sing.
Good little birdies!😊I always say hello to them when I'm walking by where they're picking at the grass for bugs. I was within a meter of one and it didn't even move!
Baby robins so cute, I hope they grow wild and free
yep, they are all off in the wild!
Just seeing those bird just make me cry.. I miss my bird so much
Stay encouraged and stay and faith. I believe that we will see animals in God's Kingdom as we would see our family because we each have a soul from him
Thank you for being so kind to the baby robbins!
Thank you for your interest
You are such a WONDERFUL lady for taking care of the precious birds. Your video made me so happy 🥰🐦🦜🥰🐦🦜
Lovely. thank you for being such good parents to innocent, beautiful life.
A lovely video and I was so pleased to see the two little robins grow up healthy and happy. Thanks for all your hard work.
Thanks for watching!
I’m watching cause i found a baby robin ;-;
Same here. Have you been feeding them? I found some that has been abandoned. I don't know what to do. I don't want to get a parasite by handling them.
You won’t get a parasite trust me
Yes we fed him fruit and worms
Same here! Mine fell out of his nest in a horrible storm when I walked up on him he was barely alive wet and freezing I wrapped him in a clean washcloth and a towel and wrapped a heating pad around him. He warmed up and this morning he was STARVING! So I brought him to work with his heating pad and dog food and I just feed him every 2-5 hours depending on if he seems receptive of the food seems to be doing very well. He sang to me the whole way to work haha
@@reignlillmars1819 what type of fruits?
Thank you for ALL you both do!! 💞
Thanks Brenda!
its nice to see this video instead of what I experienced this week. after watching a nest for a month and 3 robins ready to fledge a crow mascaraed all of them. unfortunately I had a camera on them. It was very sad. I'm so upset.
Mom Robins If they’re still alive have several clutches (egg laying) a season .....because numbers maybe 1 a clutch will make it to an adult. It’s a blessing you helped them.
Susan. You are so knowledgeable and gentle. I admire your compassion.
Lol I know the feeling of having to left them figure out eating themselves. Good on you they grew up beautiful.
Them are my favorite birds I'm glad u saved them , I have two pet robins I raised from babies and kept as pets one is named woody and the other one is Ritz they sing their Robin songs to me
How are they doing now? I just found 2 robin eggs today!
Amazing!! You’re such a great momma ☺️❤️. Thanks so much for the video and support. More importantly, thank you for caring for His “litties.” God bless you for what you’re doing!
That was a joy to watch, thanks and you did a wonderful job raising them.
Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed!
Susan, they might not eagles, but you did some beautiful work caring for those robins, even the slowpoke one. I had to play uncle to a baby robin once, helping it find shelter in the rain, saving it from a snake, teaching it how to fly, and even rescuing it from the house roof because it got stuck and was scared to come back down. They're a handful but you can't help but love them.
Thanks for helping the babies ❤️ 😍
Спасибо вы сделали мой день 🎉
SO cool you guys are...hope you know that and never doubt!!
We think you are pretty cool too! ;-)
The baby robin blended in so well in that willow tree
We are all deeply grateful to you for sharing your videos with us as you serve God with your compassion! I pray you both have a blessed Christmas and a joyous and healthy New Year. You live in a beautiful world surrounded by all God's critters! 💫🙏🏻✝️💫🙏🏻✝️💫🙏🏻✝️🦅🦅🦅🦅💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Thank you for your interest
Wonderful video, thank you for sharing!
Thanks Windy!
I rescued a little bird that fell from the nest and he's been with me for two days. I want to leave him in a little box outside to see if someone comes for him. But I have 8 dogs and for cats so I can't do that. I just love this little guy so much!!
I’m in a similar situation I need them to feed him he doesn’t really like my food
good job and bless you.
Thanks Gaby!
Love what you're doing. 😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Tammy!
What are you feeding them? I’m currently trying to save a baby that survived a nest attack.
Brilliant!
Que documental tan bonito, enhorabuena y gracias.
You just helped save a robin in mystic CT too. She said thank you.
Wonderful babies
So gorgeous!
Agreed!
Very informative thank you!
Какие замечательные сорванцы, улыбнуло
You and your wife are wonderful and loving people.. Thank you for all you do for Wildlife......
Thank you Tabatha, we appreciate your interest. A whole lot of people help us help critters!
You are very welcome.. You will be seeing my name soon...
Hi, what did you feed them when they were young?
I have a baby robin. Definitely a fledgling but on the younger side I think. I will contact whatever agency I can to take in the bird if they are receiving. What is she feeding them? I couldn’t hear very well.
This really helped me to look after a orphaned robin!
Ever so sweet little ones
Nice content, as usual! Great job raising those robins! I also like that new outro, it's quite nice. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Xavier! Glad you noticed we've been working on some new outros!
I want that special eagle autograph!☝️🧡
World needs more good people like you all!💯
Just found one today he is a cute little thing he is eating well
Awwwwwn ever sweet little ones cute
So cute
Agreed!
Thank you for sharing that. I had a Robbin nest on my power box and I think it’s 3 chicks survived but when they left I was just about to take the nest down and there was another mother Robbin in the nest. I wanted to discourage her from nesting there but since she had already laid a couple eggs I left her alone. Yesterday, about 3 weeks later...I watched a black rat snake get up there and eat one of the new born chicks and I drove the snake off before it ate the others. Kind of wishing I took the three chicks that were left to a rehabber because I came home tonight and the nest was knocked down and the chicks were nowhere to be seen. Oh well, Robbins eat worms and other bugs...snakes eat Robbins, eagles eat snakes...it’s good to know that God made all these things to do this and He made man to live forever on a new planet where we will be perfect and enjoy these things forever. (Revelations 21 talks about this.). Have a good one
Great. Would have been nice to know what you fed them
yeah
Kind of looks like wet dog or cat food maybe?
Just found one in my yard it's in my room right now wings are hurt it's a lil older than a baby but still very young def not an adult yet he's chirping right now lol got him some bird food n water n a big shallow bowl he loves it think he likes and hates me lol
Robins crack me up.
I wish there was someone near me who would care for the one my husband found this morning. I searched and called around. it would be of assistance if you told us what you are feeding them and how much. Thanks for all you do for these precious little ones.
We're sorry you were unable to locate someone to care for the birds.
@@GowildlifeOrg The precious little Robin passed away at 3:30 AM. I was holding him in my hand. I find comfort in the words of Jesus, "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care." Matthew 10:29
It wasn't lost on me that the little guy died on Good Friday. Jesus didn't die to redeem humankind only but all of His creation.
Thank you for what you do every day to render aid to God's creatures. You are His hands and feet.
Thank you guys for everything you do :-) you are angels on Earth. I did not know that Robins hatched in February.. I thought that was only springtime.? I guess it depends on the weather maybe.. :-)
Hi Carrie, thanks for your interest...yes, we played with the calendar...we collect video as we can then share as time permits.
Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah LOL. Thank you for letting me know :-) I thought that I was just crazy and new way less about birds than I thought I did. Thank you for letting me know that my instinct was probably right. And that makes total sense. I'm sure you guys have so many videos that you can't release them all at the same time obviously. What you do is awesome still :-) and I thank you guys immensely.
@@GowildlifeOrg what do I feed a baby Robin with feathers mom gone and I have outside cats can they eat baby formula please help I saw your feeding but what is it please help
There is nothing better than watching these videos when I'm in bed sick.
Nice video i liket

Thanks for watching!
you're very cool miss
Thanks for watching!
🙏🏼☺️🕊
"Nice to meet you, Sir. Here's poop."
Yep
2:12 nice shot
They are something to see!
Amazing,I am about to rase some baby robin’s to.We don’t see the parents around ever so we will look after the eggs and ckicks
I have a robin egg and I’m watching this on how to raise it lmao
My mum always says “robins are jerks” because she once saw a baby robin dead that was pushed off by its mother. But my dad put a bird nest up on a shelf we had outside and a robin stayed there. My mum was very mad she was about to trash the nest until she saw..
A baby robin egg. She showed me and I picked it up. Then she yelled and said “why would you do that!?” And I cried. Then later found out it was a myth that the mummy robin could smell the eggs or baby’s. I then later went out to check on the egg again and then I saw...
Another baby robin egg! I was so happy and told my mum, she was surprised. I really want to raise one but I know it’s wrong. But that’s all of my story. Thanks for reading!
There was a nest on top a raingutter downspout's elbow underneath the roof's soffit a few yrs back. Homeowner assured me the nest was empty. Climbed the ladder over 25 ft to get to it. But when I moved the nest, immediately 2 robin chicks flew out. One floated to the ground, but landing killed him. The other landed injured. I put the live one back in the nest. But he died, too. Felt bad. Because it was Autumn-time, I believed the homeowner. Never saw the parents.
Sorry to hear. Sometimes people disturb wildlife homes purely by accident.
We rescued one, but yesterday my baby robin died unexpectedly.. he was so healthy
If you gave it water then the baby probably died from that because they can't have that kind of water they get water from worms
What are you feeding them? Three fell from a nest only one survived I took it in and it's doing fine but so hard finding food
There Robin's
Thanks for the upload. I am now raising 4 baby robins. I’ve been feeding them worms, fruit like watermelon, soft cat food and baby bird formula. I already raise parakeets but these are so ugly and much different. I hope it works out. Maybe I will update after.
Can I feed it powdered nyger seeds mixed in water? I found one baby Robin..don't know what to feed it ...its not opening its mouth fully I think
@@123Starring same situation plz help me what to eat baby bird robin
@@wonderfulworld1128 you're supposed to feed it dried insects or soft cat food dipped in water (it should be spongy but not dripping in water, otherwise the bird will drown ) ..feed small amounts in every 30 minutes. If it's not opening its mouth fully, try to open it yourself gently to feed ,it must move its head upwards to open its mouth fully so the food goes directly into throat like shown in this video, you may follow other videos to see how to feed it in a correct way ....and most importantly keep the baby robin warm..don't let it catch cold and die ...like mine did 😔😪
👍👍👍❤️
What did you do for warm when they were babies
I am watching cuz I need to learn
They can be feed cat dry food ( moistened) and worms.
Anything else they can be fed? Should the cat food be crushed aswell?
Dog food??
Nevermind! Commented before watching the video! My BAD!!
Cats grabbed one from a nest today. Can almost fly but I have to figure out how to raise the thing to maturity.
Hi I found a baby robin egg so I’m watching this
when you found them, and when they are newly born in general, do they need heated? i saved one robin that survived out of his group from a fall and i don’t know if he needs heat
Yes, temperature needs to be monitored as they grow.
@@GowildlifeOrg how often do you feed them?
What do you feed them?
I loved what you did. But can you please explain us what did you feed them. Did you give them water. How we can take care of them if we find them. That was my case . In covi times I couldn't help baby birds that I found them.
What did you feed them at the first of the video?
Im researching about this because a cat got into a nest that was in my tree house also theres only an egg and 1 baby left howfully ants or cats dont kill them and i hope the mom comes back cause they were born 2 days ago
Hi what were those soft pellet foods they were eating?
I found a baby robin that couldn’t fly me and my friend picked it up we got a little blanket and put inside a pet carrier we where gonna call the vet but the vet said call the city we called the city it was closed (its a Friday btw) we didnt know what to do so we put seeds inside the cage thing and we left him over night he survived we then let him out next to other robins
Hes not a baby like you see in the very start but like a child he cant fly he chirps and flaps his wings
Fledgeling
What did use to feed the babies after rescuing?
My brother and I found abandoned robins in our backyard and I was wondering how to take care of them. We have fed them worms and gave them water but we don’t quite know what to do. They have most of their feathers but they need to grow a bit more on their tail and wings to be at their flying stage.
Best to seek out local care by a licensed rehabber or fish&game
Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah ok thanks for the help
I wish to raise to
how to care one day old baby Robin..and what to feed him ..help me....🙏
Does anyone know what she was feeding at 1:26? I have some babies that the parents abandoned.
It is not right to keep the birds indoors in the forest.you did really good work....
I grow the birds
I just got a chicken nugget ad when clicking this video
Odd, not sure that is even any kind of bird.
@@GowildlifeOrg I’m sure it is like from a chicken I think
What are you feeding g them.
What were you feeding them as hatchlings?
They get different kinds of food as they age including moistened dog food.
Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah ok thank you so much! I found a baby robin under a pontoon and it’s nest was destroyed. It was balancing on the edge of a metal beam so I took it in and I have been feeding him wet dog pellets. I was just making sure I’ve been feeding him the right things
Gently, ladies ...
Flapping & flying stomachs :)
Sounds about right!
What did you feed them?
Can you tell me that what are they eating 🤔
How do aI get your book!
what did you give them to eat? It is some kind of pellet??
What did you feed them I have found 2 robins
We deal with so many species of birds, it really depends on their dietary needs. If your would like additional information, please contact us directly at www.gowildlife.org
What were you feeding them? We just found some and need to feed them soon. Ours can jump around and try to flap wings. When do we start to put water out for them?
Best to find a local resource that cares for them
