never seen such a simplified yet wholesome approach to the Ankle.... it was really informative and the checklist at last is the crux of it all... kudos to Dr Parekh
Dear Chitali Greetings I am a consultant F&A Surgeon practising in Scotland and Harley Street London. First of all well done for an excellent presentation. I came across your platform of RFindia and looking for a Ankle Anatomy lecture by Ankita Ahuja. I always find it difficult to teach my registrars and I find your video extremely useful. I agree for anatomy T-1 images are better especially when looking at tumors etc. I always tell my trainees that the P.Brevis and Bone have “B” common to them so it is next to the bone and same for Tom, Dick and A Very Nervous (Artery, Vein , Nerve) Harry. I liked it that this Tom Dick Harry at front are reversed to Tom Harry & Dick. Well Done. They say you can never teach a new trick to an old dog, but I today certainly learnt one today, Thanks to you. With my very best wishes , stay safe in COVID., Turab Syed
Thank you so much Dr Turab for your kind comments....I will be coming up with more such you tube videos on the same channel on more topics on musculoskeletal radiology both MRI anatomy and pathology... there's another one on rotator cuff and ac joint.... hope it helps your residents
@@drchaitaliparekh9940 So nice of you doctor, I am senior retired professor of Radiology. We never had opportunity to learn CT and MRI. I am thankful for this platform and young Radiologist like you who are willing to share their knowledge. Thanks
Thank you for such a Wonderful and simplified presentation. Will be grateful if you could answer my following queries: - What is the average duration of the MRI scan in your current protocol with small FOV & 3 mm thickness & 0 mm gap ? - Is their difference in duration of scan between 3T & 1.5 T ? - Do you use standard orthogonal planning or do you plan the Cor & Sag sections on the axial 3 bone view using talar margins as the landmark ? - Do you use specific position of the foot dorsiflexion / plantarflexion for evaluating specific structures ?
Thank you for your kind words. To answer your questions - - Its about 15 to 20 mins for 3T machine and 20 to 25 mins for 1.5T machine. - The maximum time difference between 3T and 1.5T is of 5 mins. - Cor and sag are planned on the axial images using the line joining the tips of lateral and medial malleolus. Cor is planned parallel to that line and sag perpendicular to it. I hope this answers your questions. Any other queries u can get back to me. Thanks.
