Thank you. And although I realise I already knew all the alignment tips, it was still worth the 5 minutes a) to confirm I wasn't missing anything but b) mostly for the 'G' for grid tip - such a great tip. Thank you! 😄
Thank you so much Matt 🙏. A very good video, I have completed your Core Design Skills course, but this video is still very valuable and brings me new things and strengthens my knowledge. Once again thank you very much for creating very valuable things and their price is zero.
A really useful video mate. I have been asked to improve a current web site that is really struggling in terms of it's design and layout. This video has helped me so much. What is the software that you used to demonstrate the 12 column layout?
17:45 I don't like the way they did that though with just the images on the white background with nothing else and the top is at a different place for each image vertically and it's not like they're done in a pattern like KITT's VU meter in Knight Rider, it's just kind of random and it looks very primitive and Web 1.0 with the images just on a white background kind of disorganized.
*Most web hosting platform and web building programs come with templates. Would you still need to apply the principals if the format and layout are already preformatted, you're just adding your content and making a few tweaks?*

Templates can help non-designers (especially) to avoid major errors. Focus on maintaining hierarchy and you should be ok.
