Great job Phil, cost a lot in parts and time but I personally think it’s worth it. Try marking every nut and bolt with a white marker when you have torqued them up then you can see what you have and have not tightened up. Thanks Phil for another great video. Stay well. Tom.
Great job Phil as always you should show the things you say are boring people still like watching anything to do with cars a job well done the car is a keeper Phil looking forward to seeing the next one.
Hi Phil, its great to hear you sounding back to your old self after being so poorly and maybe a little despondant. No disrespect intended and I do genuinely mean that but your back on form and tackling a pretty big rebuild in my humble opinion and something you are definitely more than capable of and we have come to expect from the quality of work you turn out. Stay, safe and keep well buddy.
£300 for a S/H prop, breakers gold! She is fighting you, but I am so glad that she is moving ok. Huge amount of electronics to throw glitches at you! Still it is a lovely motor, and you will get it sorted Phil. These are smoky motors, and a delight to drive - enjoy. Well done mate 👍😎
Hi from durham phil 👋👍 great job here mate and great result👌 pleased the 350 pulled through and was challange but you overcome that challange and battled through the bug too mate so well done👌 hope you your lass and bairn are doin ok 👍 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon 👍👋
Done well Phil, but none runners take so much time, especially on your own. Its a different commitment when you are more or less forced into getting them running.
Replacing the engine was a massive challenge so good on you for taking it on. Seems to have turned out pretty well and will make a very nice car to waft around in. Need to something about those wheels probably upgrade them.
I have a v6 ML that I use for car trailer towing cruising uphill down dales it is superb, stick 60 on the cruise control and it maintains 2500 rpm returning 30-35 mpg, a great long distance vehicle.
I had same problem with my mercedes saying bonnet open to the catches out and cleaned them was spot on then all so wipers will not work if the car thinks it's still open sometimes just shutting the bonnet a few different times ie soft close or a bit harder works as well hope this helps
Does your one hale the tiny little led on side of the mirror to show that the indicators are on not the ones to the outised just tiny one u see from drivers seat could be your issue
What’s happening in regards to an Audi update I thought you was putting it through auction and abs making a video about it? I would very much like to see that and the process of it
I have the same in gasoline here in Minnesota, US. Looks like it’s a 2012 W166 version with M276 engine there. It’s a beautiful SUV to drive but requires a tremendous amount of TLC. I am quite surprised about how delicate it is given it’s an SUV which should be rugged. I have had a lot of issues on this namely, trunk actuator broke, blind spot assist sensors and mirror actuator went bust because Merc has not made them waterproof, AC vent grill vinyl peeling inside, MB Tex peeling on the driver seat….really pathetic from a reputed manufacturer. Will never recommend anyone to buy Mercedes again unless they want to throw money down the pit!!!
You’ve done a lot of work on that engine. New chain, tensioner gaskets etc. glad it’s working and you should be proud of yourself. Big job that!
All the hard work has paid off. Imo definitely get the nicer looking alloys

Great job Phil as always you should show the things you say are boring people still like watching anything to do with cars a job well done the car is a keeper Phil looking forward to seeing the next one.
Great result, Phil. A daunting start, but you pulled it around beautifully!
