A few years ago I bought a 2011 at 85k miles. I am now at 117k miles and its still going strong. Only scheduled maintenance and it is problem free. It is such a workhorse, and it's perfect for going on long drives. It's so comfortable and luxurious, people often ask if it's a 2016 lol. I've used it to move my entire apartment and gone on many camping trips. Can't recommend this car enough.
@@ALE89X I have the ML350, which has the M272 engine. It is a 3.5L V6, naturally aspirated so no turbos or superchargers. Good for maintainability but bad for gas mileage lol. My average mileage is about 17mpg. On the worst days when im gassing it heavy it will go down to 13mpg average, but when im going on long drives I can pull 22mpg. It has a big fuel tank like 25 gallons I think, so in my area of California I'm usually looking at $75 a tank, and it will last about 350 - 400 miles.
Buying an 07 in the morning. Yes during the Corona outbreak. It looks brand new, not one ding or scratch. Interior is to die for. 108K on the clock. 4 Matic, white with the Macadamia interior. Are you still happy with yours?
@@alifalam365 just saw this, sorry It's working great. I had a burning smell that smelt like a valve cover leak,, took it in, it was a $389 fix. It was not the valve covers, I forgot what he said it was but it was common repair for these vehicles. I also had an airbag light come on. Haven't fixed that yet because its on the passenger side, I almost always ride alone, and it does not affect the vehicle. I'll tackle it one day. I use this vehicle for camping and pulling my kayaks around. It is more reliable than my 2020 Explorer St, which is currently in the shop as I write this. I bought that brand new, it has just over 7K miles now but has been in the shop 6 times in a year and three months smdh.
Bought a 2010 a few months ago, same black on black. So glade, I bought it moving here in Minnesota. Wished I had the Harmon Kardon, I love thumping my music. However, I do noticed that the top portion of my steering wheel has the woodgrain compared to this one. Also my driver seat has 3 memory settings while this does not. I do agree that X5 drives more like a car, as I test drove one. I do like the look and style of the W164 more.
Thanks for the video, it helps me a lot especially the gear shift which is not common to other vehicle. I just bought this model everything exactly the same with yours. I test drive it 2 days ago, now I’m on my way to pick up the car. Thank you so very much!
My dad just hit 95K miles on his '09 ML350 4matic. Only major repair was the ac compressor plate/clutch had play and we had to replace the whole thing. The battery is a PITA to replace and does leak oil very slowly but overall pretty great.
Nice review thank you. I agree with you that it is not so responsive, and some what sluggish with the weight of the 4matic, etc. Do you think the Bluetec Turbo version of this year would make up for that lack of power? That was the only thing I really didn't expect or like with the 4matic gas version. Thank you for your honest answers.
I’m not a fan of my 2011. I’ve had to put 4 new coil springs on it as they broke somehow. And I’ve had to put new brake lines on it due to them rusting out. Never had that ever happen with any other car I’ve owned. However, it rides really nice, has hardly any exterior noise, and is very rugged. I use it for going off road for hiking and mountain biking all the time. It’s way more rugged than other luxury brands. Most couldn’t handle going on rocky, dirt roads like this can.
I'm trying to figure out what the best year is for the ML350? Was looking at 12-15..and also the ML400 2015..but thats a twin turbo..not sure if that has the same reliability..any info is appreciated.. thanks
Is there not a problem with the tensioner on the timming chains and you have to take the engine out if you don't it wrecks it self don't hear anything about it hear
German cars in general don't have the best reputation for reliability but there are certainly some Mercedes loyalists out there who believe they are incredibly durable and reliable. If you're worried about reliability and cost of repairs in a first car I'd probably lean toward a Japanese or American car.
I don't believe that Benz is not reliable or was I pretty lucky. I used a Benz for 18 years . During the period I only changed tyres and weak batteries.

How much cam ML350 4MATIC tow?
A lot
What is the price

Which is better an ML350 or ML500?
ML500 is nicer and more powerful... mpgs will be worse and maintenance might be higher too

Its 3 litres engin only

My opinion is that german cars are generally reliable but when something goes wrong they are very expensive to repair
