G pro wireless is still my favourite mouse, I customized it with hard rubber side grips, tiger skates and swapped out the mouse buttons for kailh reds which have no double click issues and feel super crisp, shape is just perfect for me and the battery still lasts 64 hours full charge. I keep a viper ultimate on my desk as well to switch to every now and then when I want to shake things up or when I want to give my gpro a quick charge, shape isn't as nice and the mouse clicks feel really mushy by comparison, plus this mouse forced me to swap out my mp510 for the g640 as tracking was super jittery otherwise, still a great mouse though. MM710 is my backup wired mouse of choice, shape is great, like the gpro wireless it's got a really nice hump which suits my palm claw hybrid, cable is one of the best I've tried and the weight is honestly just the cherry on top. Great video as always
I'm on this video specifically because my G Pro is now unusable, the double click issue is driving me nuts! Did you have the issue before replacing the switches? And if so, is it 100% gone?
@@jonathonhughes6612 It's safe to pick the GPW now? Double click still a problem on new batches? G640 is a good combo? What about the G840, same material as the G640? sorry for so many questions
@@matheus7071 can't comment on new batches, though it's not hard to solder new switches with the right tools, if you buy off Amazon you can always return it if it double clicks, personally I got rid of the viper and bought a hati stardust, almost identical in shape to the gpro, but 56 grams, wired and holey, love em both, could be a good starting point for you to get that instead for now. As for the g640, like the fabric but I hated the corners, there's no anti fraying measures so it all just started coming apart and hurting my wrist, and yes g840 is basically just a bigger g640. since I got rid of my viper I've been able to fall in love with cooler masters mouse pads again, mainly the mp550 and mp750/swift rx, take your pick 550 is more like a hard pad but is water resistant and built like a tank, mp750 and Swift are more like soft pads with some water resistance but mine have started fraying in the center after 4 or 5 months of use.
@@jonathonhughes6612 Thank you man! MP550 that you say, would be the MP510? If yes, what do you prefer with the GPW(all stock including feets): G640/840 or MP510? Tracking is not jittery with the 510? I think I will like the cordura construction, but I've seen some peoples talking about tracking issues with hero sensors specially w/ the GPW. (And with the Viper's sensor too, as you mentioned.) So I want to get the MP510 but seems to be a picky mousepad on what sensor you'll use.
with the razer viper on sale (60$) and free shipping on amazon its way better than the viper ultimate in terms of value, the actual differences are not worth close to 100$ of price difference, 100% would recommend if you manage to catch it while its cheap or when another sale comes around.
Jan S. well that's cause it's been out for a year by now The original price of the GPW was $150 so now that we have the new GPW people wont be buying it plus Razer will be releasing a Viper Ultimate that has no charging dock bringing it down to $130 and when that goes on sale we'll see it reach mmmm $110? possibly
Jan S. well if you're talking about current situation as of rn the Viper is priced this high because nobody has made as good of as a mouse today. Ofc this competition is gonna make changes, but because Razer is like the second to reach it they can justify hitting the $150 mark
Bought a Razer Viper Ultimate last week for $160. The left button started squeaking after the first day. Turns out, this is a common problem with this mouse. Replaced it with a Model O and I'm loving it! Just ordered a Model O- to check out the smaller, lighter version.
I don't really play games, but I'm still using an old Logitech MX518. I haven't found a replacement that I really like yet. The placement of the forward/back buttons are perfect for me, and it just fits my hand well. The newer mice I've tried had really cheap, thin cords, and one thing or another didn't feel quite right. And I still have my original Intellimouse Explorer at work. It was the first optical mouse I ever owned.
I just bought the G903 after my 6-year old wireless mouse crapped out and I really enjoy it. I wanted wireless, infinite scroll and good battery life and this was really the only option on the market that fits the criteria.
Having been a Razer hater ever since my Mamba TE (which i discarded immediately), I was surprised to see just how comfortable the Razer Deathadder Elite is for competitive gaming. There's not a doubt in my mind that this brand, that I once considered to be targeted towards pre-teen boys who just want RGB and "Razer", can actually make very competitive mice and I think I might go for the Viper sooner or later, although my G403 is more than sufficient for my wireless needs these days.
Got the Normal Razer Basilisk recently. I play a lot of FPS and so far have been really enjoying it. Couldn't get myself to get the PRO version though... I have no real need for RGB on my mouse or charging dock// play while charging function. Great for my big hands
Been using it since launch. Brilliant mouse but I've returned to my EC2-B, I just aim better with an ergonomic mouse although the Zowie is about 20g heavier.
Personally, I'm an ergonomic user. So I like the EC series from Zowie and am currently using the G-Wolves Skoll mouse cuz it's lighter. I really like the new G703 w/HERO sensor from Logitech cuz of the wireless capability, but I just wish they would get with the times. They literally have the G Pro Wireless, which is 80g, there is no excuse for them have a wireless mouse with only two side buttons over the weight of the G Pro Wireless. They could even get rid of the weird side grips and it would be lighter and just as good. But it's only a pipe dream of mine, to have an ergonomic, right handed designed light weight wireless mouse. Cuz it doesn't look like it's ever going to happen...
Real talk: Model>All. It’s the total package with excellent shape, weight, buttons, wheel, build quality, and cable while being one of the cheapest top tier mice you can buy. Plus you’re supporting an American small business that takes feedback seriously, fixes any issues within one revision, and offers amazing customer support.
Logitech didn't make the cut? Shame, I enjoy their mice the best - G502 lightspeed is pretty much peak performance for me. Then again, I don't mind a slightly heavier mouse.
Have you had any issues with clicks registering twice with the g502? I have the g902 with power play and get double clicking sometimes. I was thinking of switching to the g502 since I prefer having the thumb rest, but I don't want to end up with another double clicking mouse.
From what I understand they still give props to Logitech. That the 502 is something you can't really go wrong with but their trend and preference is lighter mice bow
@@chrisk246 That was exactly my concern, I had a g903 with the same issue which was fixed after I got it replaced. Now that I recently upgraded to the G502 lightspeed I've yet to have that problem though.
I think 2020 is gonna be the year for wireless mice! I hope maybe Razer can produce a Viper Ultimate but in a smaller size for those with small/medium sized hands
Too funny. The first picks for both of you are the mice I'm looking at, plus the Glorious Model O. The Xtrfy M4 is on the list now, too. I just want one of the mice with the mesh housing, because I think they look cool. LOL I already have a Roccat Tyon that I'm extremely happy with.
i bought a razer viper ultimate and i loved it but the side buttons were too mushy for me and the overhang on the right mouse button made me accidentally click it a bunch with my grip. fantastic mouse i just wish it was a shape that better suited my grip. I went back to my modded g305 (79g)
How the hell do I click on a notification for a new video that rolled in literally 1 minute ago and the video already has almost 2,000 views? LOL Keep up the great work Dmitry and Happy Holidays!
bought cheap deathadders for years until the new model with the cheap rubber that comes off after a few months. Switched to the model O because it's the same as much more expensive mice and it's literally perfect.
I have the g900 and the rechargeable battery is already dead so it needs to be plugged in constantly. My gf uses the glorious model o, I'm super jelly whenever I get to use it. I keep seeing the corsair mm710 or w.e but it looks super cheap
Bought the Model O when it launched because of your video and wow , what a mouse. every time I go back to my gaming computer and use this mouse I am impressed. (old G502 user)
Just watched last years video and was looking forward to this one. I like how you made it into a friendly competition with a pick phase. I'll make sure to use your link when getting my viper ultimate!
Ditto on the G502 being too slim. I thought I was getting a steal when Best Buy had it for like $25 but I promptly returned it. After a few days of genuinely giving it a chance, I could not find a comfortable way to hold the mouse. And I don't have particularly big hands either so I was quite disappointed. So back to my Glaive Pro I went lol.
Is the G502 not good anymore? I have mine (non-RGB model) for years and it still works amazing to this day except the rubber peeling off. Planning on buying a new mouse soon but I'm scared of switching brands as it might not last as long as this one. I had a Steelseries before I jumped to Logitech and had to replace them once every year.
G502 Lightspeed is awesome, but it’s not really an FPS mouse for many. I love it for productivity and desktop stuff but for shooters it’s a no go for me. Still an amazing mouse though. -D.
For me, this was a RJN face reveal, he looks a lot different than what I would have thought, for some reason :P Cool to see a collaboration with him :) Just ordered the Roccat Kone Pure Ultra today to see how it works for me, using the Basilisk now. Edit: Since it's personal preference, the reason I didn't go for the Razer Viper is the button on the right side, I want them behind the wheel, like on the Roccat, it feels awkward to push buttons on the right side as I'm right handed.
I'm still using this monster brick mouse, Logitech G700. I'm really trying to wait till the Glorious Model D comes out, but the Model O is mighty tempting. Just not sure if I want more of an ambidextrous shape or an ergo shape.
I feel like a lot of mice are being too safe in terms of shape. I personally NEED to have a bump at the back, which is why I returned my g pro wireless and bought an mm711, best decision I could've made.
I love my Razer Basilisk and my Razer Atheris. I replaced my old Razer Deathadder 3.5g from 2010 with the Basilisk and its been a big upgrade for me. Still use the Deathadder on my Linux Machine since it's still going strong after 9 years. And yes I prefer heavier mice compared to lighter ones personally.
the steelseries rival 310 is the first and currently only mice i have that has a good sensor, been using it since may last year, wish the rubber side grips were more durable though, but love the shape, so comfortable.
I'm looking to replace my Corsair Scimitar. Is $17 a good Newegg price for the Logitech G402? Or should I save up a bit and go with something better? I'm looking for something that's either lightweight, or wireless - and has a terrific sensor. Thoughts?
All I need is a mouse that fits my grip well, has a weight that suits my needs and some extra buttons and is durable. Not sure why that is so difficult to find. I don't need a million extra bloat-y features that I find a lot of the more expensive mice have.
Men the Razer Viper Ultimate is great but i am gravitating more towards the G Pro Wireless for it's aesthetics and size, but the charging dock in the Viper is a great feature so i am completely lost, idk what to do, both are great light wireless mice.
why no gwolves hati that's a really good mouse missing imho, I got model o and hati this year and I'm waiting for a Mercury Edition for the viper ultimate cause I think 2020 it's a good time to go wireless!
@@goatman86 I think so. I got it on black Friday last year for like 40 bucks and love it. Along with glorious PC gaming race's largest mouse pad and Razer cord bungee.
Am i the only one that is unlucky with Logitech mice? Left button starts double clicking on single press after 2-3 months. I RMA'd a 703, a G Pro and 2 x 502 Lightspeed in the last year
For me the best mouse of the year is the Razer Naga Trinity. Because not all of us consider FPS to the all there is to gaming. For other types of games the more buttons the better. Combined with incredible software, the Razer wins hands down.
That Lancool 2 really is the dopest case on the market, I just did a build with it and the cable management and overall build quality is amazing not to mention the thermals 😀
Recently got the Logitech G502 Hero SE (the white and black one ;) ) for just 35€ and I really like it ^^ 124g tho ... not the same category. Maybe I should give a try to these super lightwheight ones, someday
as someone who has actually used most of those mice, kain included, i can confirm that it feels odd, low quality, it has an uncomfy shape and is just a brick, i feel like you really haven't tried the better options out there to claim that the kain is a top 3 lol
@@vilebloom "feels odd" subjective, "feels low quality" just wrong lol. Vs what mice? Low quality would be something like a mm710, m4, or hait with wobbly buttons. Its slightly heavy side if u want to call it a brick so you have that but the weight is subjective but homie its 10 grams above an ecb 2 and weighs as much as a g305 and less than a g703. You dont always need a lightweight mouse
I used to prefer heavier mouse during my early gaming days. But I got hype up and joined the "light mouse train" lol..My first gaming mouse are Razer Deathadder and the Fnatic Flick btw. Cheers it's all personal preference.
@@agentorangebaby9082 agreed. My second favorite even if i dont think its objectively a super top tier mouse is the xm1. Its such a good mouse personally but some are just built super well. Fnatic flick is pretty nice tbh. Not for me but a decent mouse
I didn't realise I needed a lighter mouse until I noticed how often I was lifting my original G Pro, and I've been happily using the MM710 for a month. The only downside is the CoolerMaster software which doesn't let me make customisations that I've made on Logitech mice for years.
Still loving my Glorious Model O, took me less than a day to get used to it, the middle mouse button kinda broke then fixed itself, and I never notice it's there. Incredible deal for $50. Daily driver since it came out, still holding up great. I needed a wireless mouse solution for my laptop recently and the model O spoiled me enough that I went for a cheap usb VERY LIGHT rechargeable mouse because all the popular ones are giant and use heavy batteries.
I'm still rocking a G402. I buy more whenever they come on sale cause the shape is the best I've found for me thus far (and the scroll wheels do die eventually) If they could do a wireless, hero update for it, maybe w/ some weight loss and perhaps moving the curve back just a bit, I would be soooo happy (but I don't think it was popular enough for that to happen)
I live in a humid environment and play by the window, so there is significant dust accumulation. Mouse still runs good after 4 months. If there's any dust trapped inside, it isn't difficult to remove if you have access to an air duster.

G305 is just a ligther, faster (lightspeed>wired), wireless G-Pro Hero... If you use AAA battery.
Great video. I really hope you guys do more mouse collab videos in the future.
14:22 he said "in 2022" in 2019 wtf, i'm in 2022 and i like wtf is this am i living in the matrix or smth
G-wolves Hati And skoll??? Nice video tho
ec2a and fk2 with holes
donjenzuss The hati is nothing like the FK2, it’s more like the GPW with a wider back or a smaller UL1
VitalVision true :)
tbh after buying 2 of each model, gwolves QC is GARBAGE
Jacky Jackerson QC is awful but if you get a good model then it’s a top 5 mouse easily
Great collab!
Buying a viper ultimate tomorrow. Hope it’s worth after ditching the gpw. Still love the gpw but I’m trying razer for the first time.
Why do so many of those small ambidextrous mice have the honeycomb pattern on it? I know it makes it lighter what does it do anything else?
I have a rival 600. Should I change or no?
the steelseries rival 310 is the first and currently only mice i have that has a good sensor, been using it since may last year, wish the rubber side grips were more durable though, but love the shape, so comfortable.
I dint realise people inked lightweight mice so much. Mine is 147g.
Men the Razer Viper Ultimate is great but i am gravitating more towards the G Pro Wireless for it's aesthetics and size, but the charging dock in the Viper is a great feature so i am completely lost, idk what to do, both are great light wireless mice.
why no gwolves hati that's a really good mouse missing imho, I got model o and hati this year and I'm waiting for a Mercury Edition for the viper ultimate cause I think 2020 it's a good time to go wireless!
what game is that in the beginning? looks fun
It's Quake Champions. It's free on Steam, but it's very hard.
my favorite = Basilisk (wired) - bought after seeing Rocket Jump Ninja presentation (switching from RAT 7 it looks super )
I'm still rocking the G403. I had a model O but it was slightly too small. Great mouse though.
what's your hand dimensions ? I use g402 and I found model O quite small too
Isn't G403 same as G703, only wired? I'm looking for something good and simple
@@azo0ozCA 6.75" from the bottom of my palm to tip of middle finger and 3.3" wide.
@@goatman86 I think so. I got it on black Friday last year for like 40 bucks and love it. Along with glorious PC gaming race's largest mouse pad and Razer cord bungee.
@@fortisprocer966 actually your handsize is some how small and model o should've been big enough for you lol
Am i the only one that is unlucky with Logitech mice? Left button starts double clicking on single press after 2-3 months. I RMA'd a 703, a G Pro and 2 x 502 Lightspeed in the last year
Quake Champions 💚
I got my Cooler Master MM710 Today. I love the mouse. The clicks feel so good.
Razer viper/ viper ultimate are the best mouses this year ! 👌🏼 a really great job from Razer this year this amazing products
Whaaaaat. You guys MADE A VIDEO TOGETHER 🤯🤯🤯🤯
For me the best mouse of the year is the Razer Naga Trinity. Because not all of us consider FPS to the all there is to gaming. For other types of games the more buttons the better. Combined with incredible software, the Razer wins hands down.
this video is definition of epicness
That Lancool 2 really is the dopest case on the market, I just did a build with it and the cable management and overall build quality is amazing not to mention the thermals 😀
Recently got the Logitech G502 Hero SE (the white and black one ;) ) for just 35€ and I really like it ^^
124g tho ... not the same category.
Maybe I should give a try to these super lightwheight ones, someday
As someone who has tried every mouse for the past 5 years, the roccat kain is slept on. Easily one of the top 3 mice of this year even if its 100g
I've used a Roccat mouse in my local internet cafe before. Don't know what model was it, but it feels better than my Zowie EC2-B.
as someone who has actually used most of those mice, kain included, i can confirm that it feels odd, low quality, it has an uncomfy shape and is just a brick, i feel like you really haven't tried the better options out there to claim that the kain is a top 3 lol
Can't wait for 2020 gaming mouse!
HELLYEAH QUAKE!!!!
Awesome game.
yo do you mind me asking what version of the game he is playing, i went to quake 3 on steam and it looks much worse. thank you.
Sea Toad quake champions
Oh wow, I knew Dimitri was keeping his skill in check but didn't think he could take on Zy. Absolute mad props my man.
I didn't realise I needed a lighter mouse until I noticed how often I was lifting my original G Pro, and I've been happily using the MM710 for a month. The only downside is the CoolerMaster software which doesn't let me make customisations that I've made on Logitech mice for years.
I've got the logitech g903 and love it with the charging mousepad, not a competitive shooter but perfect for a casual like myself
I just ordered my mm710 black and am going to get it tomorow so am hyped
really good video, thank you guys
Still loving my Glorious Model O, took me less than a day to get used to it, the middle mouse button kinda broke then fixed itself, and I never notice it's there. Incredible deal for $50.
Daily driver since it came out, still holding up great.
I needed a wireless mouse solution for my laptop recently and the model O spoiled me enough that I went for a cheap usb VERY LIGHT rechargeable mouse because all the popular ones are giant and use heavy batteries.
the Endgame XM1 is kind of like a sleeper mouse. It looks like a regular office mouse, but it performs really well in fps games.
. . . I had mistaken your last mouse video for a RJN mouse review and now this. Makes sense.
My fav this year is definitely the g wolves Hati, it’s the gpw shape but better + 62g. Endgame for me
Gotta try that myself. Hear it’s awesome.
-D.
HardwareCanucks You will like it for sure.
The only problem ... The best mouse is not on the list.
Logitech 305. Wireless. Lightweight. Best sensor. Flawless tracking on any cloth pad. Cheap.
Why would they stop making the final mouse?
The razer naga 2014 regular version suits me very well
I'm still rocking a G402. I buy more whenever they come on sale cause the shape is the best I've found for me thus far (and the scroll wheels do die eventually)
If they could do a wireless, hero update for it, maybe w/ some weight loss and perhaps moving the curve back just a bit, I would be soooo happy (but I don't think it was popular enough for that to happen)
Am I the only one who thinks Zy is hella good looking irl?
Nah bro, i think he looks hella good lookin too. Tho this is actually my 1st time ever, seeing Zy.
Riffska 2k he has done one before
Has anybody used a mouse with holes in it in a "dirty" environment? Kids? Animals? Dusty? Smokers? If so did you have to replace quicker than usual?
They have a coating on the inside so water and dust won't have an effect on the components. Important to keep it clean nevertheless
I live in a humid environment and play by the window, so there is significant dust accumulation. Mouse still runs good after 4 months. If there's any dust trapped inside, it isn't difficult to remove if you have access to an air duster.
Should I get the razor viper ultimate, glorious model o, or a different mouse?
