They gave up long ago, once we sat in dugout with photographers because we have a camera with a big lens and that was forty years ago! Talked to Rod Carew even!!
I got to do this as a child, 30+ years ago at Fan Fest, when they allowed fans to be on the field. But I didn't run the wrong way and there was no Mt. Davis. Good times.
What are they going to do? Ban him for life in the Coliseum? They A's are gone after this season. This kid took the risk with really no consequences. The landscapers didn't care. Security was in no urgency.
John Fisher doesn't care what anyone of the average 4000 fans does as long as they pay for the ticket and buy as much over priced concessions as possible.
So someone did something illegal and the authorities did nothing about it. This statement can be applied to anything going on in or out of the stadium in Oakland.
Lmao and smdh at the same time... This starts at the top.. This would NEVER happen anywhere else no matter what! There's still safety protocol! As an A's fan this shit just keeps getting embarrassing.. NO EXCUSES I feel bad for the players
I’m not sure that this deal will go through. All parties in this situation have once again gone silent and when that happens, second thoughts are being considered. Las Vegas is pretty lukewarm about the A’s moving there. Maybe too lukewarm.
And this train wreck is supposed to compete with penn & teller David Copperfield circus solei bts or other top acts in Vegas for $300 a person at the tropicana stadium to see the last place baseball team
I totally agree, but with it being Las Vegas I’m pretty sure there going to be spending big more on players just because it’s Las Vegas to attract fans as well as compete with other attractions ( All of the things you named etc)
I live in Vegas. If they don't do a rebrand and Vegas gets the green and yellow Athletics as their team with the same ownership, this team will be the same as it is now. The color scheme is also so far off the Raiders and Golden Knights that no one is gonna wear these colors. Give us black + something to keep the theme. Vince McMahon has the Vegas Vipers name rights from the XFL. I'd see if he has interest in being brought into the ownership team. Bring in a fresh new ambitious billionaire, a new catchy name, and a black+ color scheme. We'll sellout for that
@AntonioFerguson-ym3kh That's what they would have to do, indeed. But John Fisher is an awful owner and a bad businessman. I find it hard to believe he's going to suddenly "flip a switch" once the A's move to Vegas, and become one of the best owners in MLB that runs a top notch business.
In my opinion, you don’t plan on making a move like this unless you are aware and prepared to make the necessary moves to have the best chance to succeed, i.e building a beautiful ballpark, getting the right players, new colors etc… Anything less of going all out is going to result in failure. I think possibly the owner pre-maturely exposed the move to Las Vegas while at the same time tanking the team by moving on from star players because they thought the move would have happened sooner rather than later. (why would you do all that just to stay in Oakland for years after just to lose money in so many ways i.e ticket sales, merchandise, concessions etc.. the list goes on and on) it’s hard for people to mentally and physically buy into a team that the past few years haven’t been very competitive and also plans on “leaving”. They’re getting no love and no money from Oakland communities, so now they’ll go try to juice Sacramentos market with promises of maybe staying there if things go well enough, when in reality it will all be because they have burned Oakland to a point of no return, and they need more time and money to make this move which unfortunately Oakland has no more time nor do they have money to put into what they see as a dying team.. Unfortunately, This is about money.. everything in this would is about money. I’m interested to hear others’ option on this take.
@@zackwineland2504 I think you are grossly, grossly overestimating Fisher's competence. He's done nothing but fail at building new stadiums, actually failed at everything he's done. Now he's being tasked with building a stadium that will likely have to be a complex engineering task on a tiny plot of land, more challenging than building a normal stadium. He's the worst guy to pick to do it. I think you are basing your thoughts on the idea that, if this is making so little sense then there must be a lot of details that we don't know yet. It's probably cause this was the last game that will be played here. So everyone was probably like fuck it this everyone's last day. Plus it wasn't during the game play so they probably didn't give af either about it. Goodbye coliseum
This is the problem, the security office tried to reach him at 3rd base but she is too slow and not strong enough. This applies to 90% of the female security and police. Not the lady's fault at all but that is what is going when you are just smaller and not as strong.
Not unless you are an 8 year old kid trying to sit lower in a completely empty section so you can see the players better. Then they turn into the Gestapo.

Don't blame the Athletics organization.. Blame the city of Oakland. Literally have had some of rhe best players to ever play baseball and you couldn't keep them because Oakland fans suck
Unless you try to bring a beer in. You still go to A's jail for that.
Imagine what A's jail would like look.

If he ran the bases in the correct direction they might have signed him for $200 a game or whatever they pay the players

$200. This is the majors.Alot more than. That.200 is more like minor league pay.
@@tonycarpenzano3060 you’d be surprised how much A’s players make.

Missed third base gangsta
He's ran the wrong way around the bases

Rod Carew was an amazing player.Loved his batting stance.
He thought it was tryouts 😂😂😂
Long year for you As
I have never seen this! Somebody so successful in running around the entire infield.

Oakland in general has given up.
On the positive side, Nevada takes care of robbers and car jackers …. Oakland is a city of victims like the
A’s.
That he is in Oakland and at that ballpark is penalty enough!
said the guy that’s never been to California.

That's what happens when the team is about to leave town. He actually touched every base too, WILD STUFF!!
A’s lets kids run the bases after every Sunday game. Great fan activity. Sad to see this tradition end
Kind of a dick move to run all over the infield when the ground crew are setotting up for the game.
