- Опубліковано 4 чер 2024
- Here's a list of jokes about different countries which I found on the website Bored Panda. I'll tell you the jokes and then explain them all (dissecting the frog), including any homophones, double meanings or specific cultural references. Can you "get" the jokes? Do you find any of them funny, or are they all just terrible dad jokes? And, what vocabulary can you learn in the process? Includes a vocabulary review at the end of the episode.

Hello, Luke! I'm an English teacher from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I' m delighted to hear your perfect R.P. English pronunciation. You are very kind and patient explaining things that are too simple for you. Love it when you chuckle, kind of admitting that a joke is terrible. I guess your work is truly helpful for students of English. I learnt a few things about world culture. Thank you so much! 😊
Finally, I found someone who makes English videos that I am interested in.
Me too!
you are Chinese?
Why doesn’t everybody speak English like Luke? the world would be so understandable, English learning would be so easy, the people would be eager to learn, so much to thank you Luke and specifically your sense of humor. You were born to be what you are, a great English teacher¡ kissy kissy from Mexico city ❤❤❤❤
He speaks well for an English person but plenty of other English speakers are just as clear
You explaining each one of them is even funnier 😂😂😂😂😂

@@maguybotti448If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
I liked the German joke particularly well, of course also a few others
I also listen to teacher Luke's English every day for my practice. Cheer up ourselves ❤😊
@maguybotti448 At least Marquinhos made an effort and wrote in English instead of just criticizing jotting down three poor words in French, which don't even make up a whole sentence.
Hi, Luke, your english podcasts are Always very interesting. Thanks
Thank you Luke! You always try to make our learning more exciting. Especially I adore your explanations ❤
Luke talking to himself, getting hit by reality, and then laughing in a deflated, incredulous voice is just too lovely and funny LOL.
Hello teacher Luke , how are you? I love jokes and the short stories you read and desect with vocabulary.I think it' s a good way of learning English. Thanks!!

Hi Luke!! I LOVED THIS EPISODE!! was funny and I could understand lots of the jokes!! Thanks so much!!
Greeks hints at the word “bricks”, so it sounds like “bricks and concrete”. The joke doesn’t work really, but at least now you see what the word “Greeks” was supposed to refer to here.
Mr Luke
You are funny and really very cool teacher ! Thank you for your videos 😊
Awesome! They ARE actually funny! I laughed a lot
Great, I I get many of them without explanation . Most of them truly funny. On the overall an enormously enjoyable video. Thanks.
Hello Teacher Luke ! I'm from Guadeloupe and I learn my English lessons with you every day ❤ I improve my english day by day ❤❤❤ Thank you so much for your lessons 👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤

Fantastic! Next, you could consider doing an episode explaining the jokes from the Tom Brady roast. There's a lot of material that could be clarified for non-English speakers.
I love this type of video and the Short stories as well❤
GREAT EPISODE!!!! THANKS A LOT LUKE!!!! YOU ARE VERY GENEROUS!!! FROM ARGENTINA(THIRD TIME WORLD CHAMPION)
Thank you Luke😊 Dankeschön.
Thanks a lot for this episode. We really need humour during these bad times. I'am listening your podcast from a small harbour on Atlantic Ocean in France. Thank you Luke. I like your way of teaching english.

Hi Luke! Another great video! Laughed and learned a lot! Some of the jokes are really good! But your explanations are the best!
Hi Luke, Thanks a lot for this video, it's very funny and we can even learn from them. I enjoyed it very much 😽
Thanks from Portugal ❤
I would love to hear all 100 jokes! Great job :) made me laugh a lot 🎉😂
About the 38. Czech mate. It also sounds like “шах и мат” in Russian and may be in Czech it sounds the same way. So it seems more deep joke, like it has two levels 😊 «шах и мат» means complete victory. And chess is called «шахматы» in Russian. So this name consists of those two words
In Polish : Szach i mat. (A complete victory).
Good morning. I love your channel, it is very interesting. I am Spaniard and you help me a lot with your videos
A few years ago, I felt you spoke really fast and could't understand your podcast. But now, I can understand and enjoy your podcast very well. I feel improvement of my English skills. Thank you for offering such fun podcasts. I'll keep listening you videos and studying to pass FCE exam.
We are in one boat! 4 yearsago I also used to pause Luke's recordings every 10 seconds and check every unfamiliar word in a dictionary. And now i feel completely at ease listening to him😊 and i am also taking fce preparation course. What country are you from?

Hey luke i was looking forward for your podcast 🎉
The best joke about vladimir pootin in Russia is when Santa Claus opens the letters with wishes and exclaims: "Hey, people, I'm not a killer!"
Дада Андрюш ахаха
Yes! 😃
Nice you way of teaching English… I really enjoyed and learnt a lot… Congts…

Hello Luke's English Podcast.Thank you for this "funny" lesson.I think, when you can laugh with a joke in a foreign language then your level is good. I 'm french so the story on "le tour de France" suits me. See you soon. From Paris
Amazing, you are brilliant
Those i understood was very funny and when i don't understand I still learn. Good episode
Hi, Luke! I'm afraid you gave us some bad explanation to joke #16 (it's about Englishman, Scotsman and Irishman). I think it was about Brexit.
Yes you're right, it's about Brexit, which is an example of how voting in the UK is always dominated by English votes over votes from other parts of the country.
I like the USB joke best and Antatica one was good too. Thanks mate. Cheers!!
Great to see you again, Luke 🙂
Hey. I have been enjoying your video. I asked one of joke what you said here to Chatgpt. It knows already. It is hilarious !!!
The Australia criminal record joke got me laugh the most.
Hello from Ukraine! Such a great episode may I say! 😊
Я теж постійно слухай. Неймовірно насправді
Russian jokes start with looking over one's shoulder.
We went even far since this joke had been created ( assosiation with Stalin KGB times being actual till now).
Here is a current one: "You sit down on your cellphone by chance and might get 5 criminal records at once" (for your accidental comments of the power).
But we don't complain as we can't!)
Fantastic ❤
I like it a lot!😆😆😆
Thanks Luke
I laughed a lot INDEED! Thank you for making my day 💕
thanks you teacher
I love your explanation about what a fly is^^

Teacher Luke,I have a hard time understanding the joke whenever people saying, from this episode I somehow get few only after you disecting the joke,, usually for me it takes long time .thank you for teaching English language.
Great job, man)))
Hello, dear Luke. I often watch your podcast and enjoy it a lot! I think I get the joke about a penny: two Scotsmen were greedy and started fighting for the penny, which is made of copper and each pulled to his direction until the penny turned to copper wire...😄
Waw magic trick for changing your tee shirt 👕. Timing 16:20. Bravo 👏👏
Hello, thank you so much! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m waitng for a flight and the USB moment saved my life 😂
38:47 Yes, brilliant! continue, I hope you have something from Asia, in particular The Philippines. 👍
Hello, thank you so much❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The fun fact is that a word “Dublin” is also similar to Russian “da blin” which means “ah damn”. So it’s quite funny when you repeat it😁
Hi Luke! Thanks for this episode! Episodes full of jokes and you explaining them are among my favourites. I got most of the jokes without you explaining them, but not all of them. Some of them were funny, others not.
@ninaivanova 995. Ur words are so adorable.
Dublin is mine 😂🤣🤣🤣I like that one
Great episode like evry time. Thnaks you Luke 🙏🏾
Thanks from INDIA 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi luke can you do a episode about " Ranking classic book all you've read before "
Some of the jokes were funny. By the way, my usual answer to the question “How are you?” - " I am still alive!". People usually smile at this.
😂 Luke tu es tellement drôle ! Thanks 🙏
