Hi Luke, I love jokes when I understand them. Some are so funny! Thanks for the explanations (dissecting the frog is sometimes useful) particularly for the honey comb. Exercises are a real complement to the podcast! I enjoyed them. Thank you so much for the lists of all your jokes podcasts 😊 I'll listen to them from tomorrow morning driving to my job.
That was a great ep, I enjoyed it lot. Thank you! When I walk in a park to be fit and healthy, I turn on in my ear pods music, audiobooks or podcasts, but Luke's podcasts are the most useful of them
😀 Luke, each episode of your podcast is like honey 🍯 to the hearts of the residents of Lepland. Thank you so much for another serving of healthy, nutritious😉 content that improves my English! 😋
I recommend listening to the episode with a lot of attention and when the vocab review comes try not to look at the list at all and listen to Luke and answer the fill in the gap questions. I think that'd be beneficial for us as learners. Thanks Luke 🍯 brilliant as usual
Hello! My name is Natalya. I survived up to the very end. In Russian we are used to call mobile phones comb phones. Although it sounds a bit oldfashioned now. I am 78 years old and my goal is understanding English movies without subtitles. I hate grammar because my way of studying English is more like that of a parrot. Thank you, Luke! I am looking forward to your lessons!
Hello, teacher Luke! The Episode was enjoyable and usefull and I got to the end! Here a rhyme for young children: The rose is red, The violet is blue, Honey is sweet, And so are you! Thank you, have a nice week!
Hi Luke, thank you for the episode. The jokes haven't been very amusing (in my opinion) but the vocabulary job you did, is absolutely phenomenal. I like this kind of your episodes, as I am learning a lot. Thank you so much!❤
Don't worry Luke! Your frogs are still alive))) The jokes are still funny and understandable as well) I had more than hour of very pleasant and useful listening....Smiling all the time)) Thanks a lot. Hello from Ukraine! I hartly wish peace and love for my country and for the world❤
Hi Luke! This episode is the bee's knees! I love the ones you do about jokes. They are like honey to my ears. I got almost all of the jokes from the episode. My favourite is about Ghostbusters clothes. Laughed out loud) Thanks a lot.❤🐝🍯
Listening improves English a lot. But speaking can improve English much. Your accent is very good I like it I'm also keen to learn English. I'm doing m.phil English Linguistics. Profound Regards, Naeem, Pakistan
Hello, Luke! I’m coming out of my ninja hideout to say thank you for this hilarious episode. Not only did I laugh at the funny jokes, but also at your facial expressions when you read the bad ones 😅
Luke I realized that with your videos , I have improved a lot my listening skills, but when I try to read and listening I can't. It's more comfortable just listen. Is it normal? What should I do ? I enjoy your videos a lot , Thanks! yo
You mean it’s difficult to read and listen at the same time? How is it when you just read without listening. If you can read ok, and you can listen ok, don’t worry - you don’t really need to listen and read at the same time. Continue just listening, but also practise reading separately too.
I really enjoy the moment when the penny drops. Thanks a lot, it’s helpful for English learners with no doubt. I prefer brushes to combs. And I cut down on honey. So bees can consume my portion from their honeycombs in winter.
Hello, Luke! Thank you very much for dedicating time making such entertaining and useful content! Could you (or maybe Amber) tell us a story about famous Parisian catacombs? I think this could be an interesting theme for Halloween episode for example
Hello, is been a long time since I haven’t listened to, please keep your chin up, you are very good…greetings from a Mexican person living in Japan, for a long long time…
Hi Luke , I am Greg from Moscow. Have been lerning English with your video almost a year. Wish i could join your extra charge lessons((.Thank for your job! imho your episodes r very various , for instance this one is comprehansible for my level ( understood +-85%) , bud sometimes ( especially when you talk with native speakers i got obsalutely nothing))) It would be a cool idea if u gonna mark episodes according assuming listeners level from your ptoffesional opinion.( B1, B2, C1..etc) Thank you!!!
Wow 😮 things like these exist too, I never thought anyone would officially explain jokes So I wanted to listen to something beautiful like British English while doing boring work otherwise I'd delay a lot and preferably something funny and something I could only listen and.not look at, So I have been typing British show, British videos, British podcast these days this popped up today 🎉 It's kind of nice 👍
In all fairness, I comb my hair a lot... hopefully, it doesn't make it sticky like bee hair, whatever it is, I am not a bee keeper, but I do admire honeycombs, they are so crafty ❤
I know a joke that is somewhat similar to joke number 15: - Guess who it is: white, flying and buzzing. - I don't know, I give up. - It's a fly. - Why is it white then? - Because it's in a nightgown!
I have been living in the UK for a while . I studied English for a long time in my own country before coming here. Hello Luke! Hope you’re doing alright;) i’ve been looking for the episode where you sing “the look you give that guy” by Eels, could you tell me which one. That’d be really helpful because i’d love to see you singing it again, thank you.😊
Dear Luke , do you know the International MORSE CODE ( Alphabet ). SO, I like the Joke about the letter C in the SEA very very much!!! . Why do pirates have to learn the alphabet? ( And it is true!!) If they don't, they 'll be lost at C. .
It's quite interesting, but a new study of Franklin’s experiment suggests that he actually invented the whole story. According to Doctor Tom Tucker, an American university professor, who first began to feel suspicious about the story while he was working for the US space agency NASA. He examined the original documents and noticed that Franklin never said that he actually carried out the experiment. Dr Tucker realised he was right when he tried to carry out Franklin’s experiment himself - using an identical kite. He tried it several times - but the kite couldn’t fly. According to Dr Tucker, even if the kite had flown, it couldn’t have gone high enough to get electricity from the storm clouds.
