    Great video my friend! He was a lil stubborn going in there but glad he's using that burrow. Turned out great! Can't wait to see what your gonna use the other enclosures for. Hmmm true spiders?

    I thought chameleons had to be housed in screen enclosures because they need a lot of air flow? I was always told to only keep them in open air/mesh screen enclosures and never in glass terrariums

      This is what I heard too. Well at least that they do better in screen enclosures. But if you live in the north it's quite hard to get the right humidity in a screen enclosure. So then it comes down to if you want to get the right humidity or the right ventilation. I did a lot of research before I got Karma and a lot of people around here keep their chameleons in glass terrarium with a screen lid successfully. So that's why I went for that and so far it has been working perfectly :)

    How do you know when they are growing out of the habitat?

      There isn't really any regulations for how big the tarantula has to be. But what i take into consideration is how much the spider actually moves around in the enclosure. And how big the tarantula is compared to the enclosure! :)

    I’m sorry but this has to be the poster video of how NOT to set up your tarantula’s enclosure.

      @JohanExoticGlobal  2 роки тому

      I'm so sorry to hear you say this. Do you have any tips on improvements for the setup?

    • @thegooch7206
      @thegooch7206 2 роки тому

      You should’ve known that once you put on the lid, it was either going to block the entrance. With tarantulas..the least amount of times you have to deal with their enclosure the better. You also should’ve wet the substrate more and then set up the enclosure at least 2 days prior, just so it settles and dries into itself.

      @@thegooch7206 It only blocked the entrance when he was making the burrow. After I helped him guide where I wanted him to dig, he has now made a nice entrance to the side. And I'm sure he would make an entrance buy himself if I didn't help him. It's not like we would be stuck down there hehe. This was just a way to guide hem to dig where I wanted. I agree that the least amout of times I deal with the enclosure is better, but I'm sure that it didn't effect him that much. Don't worry :)
      You defiantly don't need to set up an enclosure 2 days prior to let it settle in. But if that's the way you do it, then I'm sure it works fine too! Just know that there are never one and only correct way to keep a pet, there are many good ways. Most of the time I have damp substrate to put in, but I didn't this time. But this wasn't the first time I did this practice, and it have been working perfectly fine every time. Thank you so much for your concern tho. And happy keeping!! :)
