Here's my axe method. If it's super rough I'll use the angle grinder, file and rag method to refine that bevel, and ken onion grinding attachment for my final polish.
@@GerstBladeworks basically you're draw filing and the amount of folds you put in your rag adjusts the angle that you're filing at. Clamp down your axe on it's side, lay down the rag on top of the axe head, place your file down and press, use the handle as your pivot point and go to town.
When will you make the worksharp mug with 800 grid diamond at the bottom?

On your last one, are those not sanding discs? Not grinding discs??
Sharpens best has a claim "best sharpener on earth!"
Definitely entertaining.
A flat surface and sandpaper is inexpensive and effective (If you don't have anything else). It is not necessary to try bizarre things.
The most telling thing about this video is that the paper cut test proves nothing.
Don't hurt yourself. That looks dangerous. Your safety is more important.
The idea of using a grinder is just a joke. :)
All of these “hacks” are far too much work and far too time consuming to even be considered “hacks”.
They don’t even work, either.
