Played semi-pro with him one year in Delaware. I think he might have been late 40s or early 50s. He was there more for the love of the game than anything else, and he was always the most fun guy at the game. Such a great guy... LOVED the Tugger.
Tug was so much exciting, you knew he was going to put us on a tight rope, but you knew he was going to get us through it. but off the field, he was a nice man and very thoughtful. met him a few times and got to talk with him about 3 years before he passed. his insights into the game, but also into how we could use sports to pique children's interest in mathematics and science were well thought out and i believe would actually work if implemented.
@fukkincalderonz Hey thanks for letting me know! 🤗 I'm an athlete myself & just to think that Tim's all-time favorite ⚾️ player was his real Dad, whom he found out about 12 years is his Father! Amazing!
Adequate fastball, nice curve, really good screwball, changes speeds. Its incredible to think the Mets had Seaver, Koosman, Gentry, Matlack, Ryan and McGraw. That would have been the greatest pitching staff ever.
just something i noticed that i never did before, on the day the Phillies clinched the division in 1980, our usually stellar defense made 5 errors. 5 errors and still won the game, but just our usually rock solid defense made 5 errors.
Thanks for heart I am always following u in UA-cam due to some problems I didn't got time well the best content well pls tell me your favorite mlb team.
McGraw belongs in the HOF. He doesn't have the Save numbers of a Fingers or Rivera because he was never a closer. He was a middle inning reliever whom you hardly ever had to bring in a closer for. I'd have to check but I bet he has one of highest innings per game ratios of most relief pitchers with similar number of appearances.
Nasty pitches. We could use someone like him right now. Wish I could have seen him play back in the day. RIP
This is Very well done. The heartbeating at the end. RIP TUG.

You gotta believe!!!! Tugger went way too soon. We miss you Tug.

What a man!!!
Thank you
So bizarre how Tim McGraws favorite baseball player was his Dad before he knew he was actually Tug’s Son.
So Tim didn't know who his Father was for awhile???
@@ebonyfaith8064 Tim didn't meet him until he was 11

He was the fn best relief pitcher in my time growing up in South Philly Joey thank you tug for 1980 world series I was 16 years old Joey South Philly
What a phenomenal series! I was only six years old when that happened and the 1983 crushed me. Here in Harry K was great.

Need someone like him in the bullpen now
Nasty screwgie! You could always count on The Tugger to shut down the opposition in 8th and 9th. I loved watching McGraw at the Vet.
Nice job. Tug made the Phillies Fun
That screwball looked deadly
My all time favorite player, TUG McGraw! Loved when he played for the N.Y. METS!
THE BEST!

My first baseball card 1983 Tug Mugraw
That's when players were fun
Just heard the npr interview of Tim, I could have guessed that was his dad
Harry Kalas "65,000 on their feet here at Veterans Stadium the Tugger needs one more!"
John Kruk highlights
mitch williams hilights please
F.U.
Bring back bullpen cars.
Even 2008 World Series win couldnt compare to that 1980 roar!
I wonder if he could sing
My guess is no and that he sang frequently nevertheless
this is amazing until you remember who his son is lmao
