Hearing that poor child crying "No, it's my book!" legitimately brought tears to my eyes. Why anyone would post that is beyond me. What has happened to bring things to this point?
Did you see Mike and Methwin trying to defend this shit earlier? His kid was laughing until he realised it was the Cyberfrog comic. He even mocks his kid at one point. He's a real arsehole.
I saw Mikes video last night ( night at spain) and was an instant unsub. i value my cyberfrog issue like a treasure and all the wonderful work you did to me. I felt personally disrespected. ANd the child ... man that was wrong. But just look at the comments, everyone was shocked and disgusted.What a lack of professionality. This will hurt his channel and his name.
Above everything else, it's the complete lack of respect shown from one professional artist to another. What Mike did was so abhorrent, the man is vile. He then has the gall, along with that strange creature Methwin, to insult people that take him to task and call out his bullshit. He's a joke and I think he's in for some very nasty surprises with his own future campaigns.
"Ethan cut up Rose Ticos!" Were they personal gifts from Disney to Ethan? Did Disney help to save Ethan's career and his house? Other than that, it's exactly the same.
He didn’t do it in front of his young daughter who thought they were her toys he was destroying. Yet Mike was well w/in his rights to do that and Ethan has burned things in streams for his fans. Every action has reactions (even unintended or unanticipated ones), by this time both men are very well aware of this and neither should blame the other for them.

Okay...but the little boy thought so...(no matter if he thinks everything is his...) it still showed a disturbing amount of insensitivity...not to mention teaching him that burning stuff from the home in the fireplace is acceptable. Later in the video the little boy wanted to burn something else that Mike didn't want burned.
I guess having the children on camera is one thing. What's worst in my opinion that they have to witness all this stress their father is going through. Mike should stream from somewhere else and then leave the "work stuff" in that one room and not bring it to his children.
I have a relative over in Iraq right now and I can tell you they want stuff like bed sheets, sweat pants, socks etc. I have not heard of any of them wanting comics.
His non-donation was sent to a military base here in California. They don't lack for anything when Stateside. As a Marine vet I can tell you, receiving boxes of some random comic book that wasn't even asked for or popular would be a big WTF? The percentage of army soldiers on that base that even read comics might be 2% at best. The war profiteer joke does have a grain of truth to it...he is so wildly out of touch with the nature of a donation in general, and what soldiers/sailors would appreciate. They both talk about their Christian values, and then constantly bash you (and anyone who follows you) for petty reasons. Well, I am a Christian too, and they are giving all of us a bad name. Christianity isn't a stick they can go around clubbing people with, they are exhibiting the opposite of Christian behavior. The core of it is forgiveness, understanding and love for ALL, that means people you like AND even more so - the people you want to hate (as cheesy as it sounds, its the basics) Another part of it is understanding we as individuals shouldn't judge too harshly or we will be judged just as harshly (ex: if you refuse to forgive someone for something, why should God forgive you? "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you" is a common theme in many religions. Jesus straight up prayed for and forgave the men who ultimately killed him. If your gonna do the 'For the Troops' tier, for people to back, the price the customer pays for additional books should be like half the original price or at least severely reduced. Maybe only charge the customer to ship the book or something. There shouldn't be any profit being made for charity. Otherwise it isn't charity.
