It was also the first time people managed to make stand against progressives. If nothing else, GamerGate has created a disenfranchised set of gamers & brought awareness of progressive ideology corrupting various industries.

There are also AAA game devs that are still producing non-PC games like Rock Star Games and Id Software or just try and make good content like CD Projekt Red. They're very self aware, and realize how many people hate them, and for a while I think they were happy just being themselves and doing what they do for their core fanbase, but more recently I think they've been trying to branch out into the mainstream market to grab newer younger fans. They've always been mainstream obviously, but also very niche for what they do. Mania has some of their best songs ever, to clarify, but i don't like it as an album.
