I followed all your directions and it worked perfectly. Arduino 2.0 is better in every way once you get it working. I had a bad link in board mgr and switched it the the espressif ESP link you provided and now it compiles and loads quickly (at least quick enough). I had to delete every sign of the old IDE and now there is no issue. Thank you! All of my boards now work without issue.
I get persistent compilation error (exit status 1) on my pc alone, others work fine, I have tried reinstalling countless times it doesn't work. I have no clue how to fix it
Whenever I go to upload my sketch, the com port just doesn't show up. I've installed the proper drivers and have scoured the internet for several hours searching for a solution. Still can't get it to work.
Hello sir, yesterday i bought that same Azdelivery esp32 board which has 38 pins, but after testing some few codes i found that my board's GPIO25 and GPIO26 are shorted together internally. it is my first esp board and i don't have any experience with it. Is it normal to have these pins shorted or is it just a manufacturing fault?
"The most difficult to get working" ?? NO.. HELL NO !! I'd give that award to the Arduino Nano ESP32 is bloody easy. I mean once you get past that step of adding the board to the IDE After that it's easy
i have this error: { "error": "Error getting Debug info: Compiled sketch not found in C:\Users\sn17849\AppData\Local\Temp\arduino\sketches\63350F131DE15C932FDBF97BFD697018" }
Hi Brett, I appreciate your videos. Problem: Starting about a week ago, every time I upload a sketch, it fries my TTGO LoRa32-OLED V1 board. I've ruined 3 of them. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...
I couldn't upload the sketch to my ESP32. It turned out that it was my laptops Bluetooth COM ports that were using the same ports. So I had 2 COM6 ports. After disabling Bluetooth it works again.
Thanks for the useful info - this might be causing other people similar issues. I've not seen this issue as my desktop PC doesn't have bluetooth (but my laptop does, and I've never had any COM port issues on that one either).
Hi Brett I had the problem of being unable to upload sketches to the esp32 board i tried all the things you suggested in this video but was still getting error while attempting to upload the sketch i was getting this error message in the red bit at the bottom of the c=screen 'Wrong boot mode detected (0x13)' after a little bit of googling i found this solution you have to press and hold the boot button then click the 'EN' button then click upload on the IDE then when the message at the bottom says connecting release the boot button then the sketch will be uploaded successfully. Sorry I've not seen this before and it sounds a very rare issue. Maybe check you have the correct board listed. If anyone else has the same issue hopefully they will drop a comment here.

Sorry not heard of that board but I hope you found a solution.

not getting the solution yet......
Try using a different ESP32. I know I have two ESP32 CAM modules and one seems faulty.
