    Something else that is great about the ESP is that you can delve much deeper into the hardware if you decide. Something like switching to ESP-IDF gives you a world of possibilities to go really into the grit of everything.

    Hey dude, I just entered this "hobby" and have several esp32's but for most Pros video like this is screamed over at light speed. So thx for this... I'm using the breadboard so I can learn before getting something more permanent (soldering) so any projects with some usage (unlocking the drawer over wi-fi, basic screen (lcd && oled) and few cool sensors just for warming up until we get to more serious things. I have a R-Pi so maybe IF it's worth going there and connecting something (no idea... it's all space thing to me... like NASA space, not BOOOM space X cos components are way cheaper on your side of the pond... in EU you spend 5x on post plus package insurance than the item itself). I did the Telegram bot changing color on ESP32 - tres cool!!! but seamed easy. I'm sure if you dig deep enough you will remember what gave you the most headaches when you "were young" enthusiast.
    Did I mention... great video??? maybe next time :)

    I substituted an ESP32 board in a project that I had recently used an Arduino Uno and wondered why it didn't work with the same components. Because the ESP32 uses 3.3v instead! Thanks for telling me, I thought I wired it poorly or fried the microcontroller. Thanks!

    While having smaller resolution, Arduino UNO ADC is better than the ESP32 one. Note the ESP32 ADC also requires some attenuation to cover the same range as UNO's.

    Arduino sounds like a super easy siatem. The question I have is whether I could use it as an Internet video buffer via an RJ 45 adapter because I am fed up with web browsers that do not take into account the user's needs. Of course, he should have the logic that normal browsing goes through normally and only the video or music buffs in his memory so that I can watch it without stuttering even if it only gave me 10 minutes of buffing I would be satisfied because it would be 1000% better than having to waiting for a response from servers and internet providers to get the next 10 second packet!

    I believe the ESP32 can receive inputs of 5v without issue if the pin is set to input. This has been a long going misconception but it does support 5v input. Ofc it can't output this so you'd need a level shifter for bidirectional signaling

    • @orange_tweleve
      @orange_tweleve 8 місяців тому

      It kinda handles but not recommended just the way you can light up a green led with 5v but not recommended.

    • @MatthewKuKanich
      @MatthewKuKanich 8 місяців тому

      @@orange_tweleve That's not the same at all lol. The issue with lighting up a green led with 5v is because there is no current limiting resistor. Add even a 220 Ohm resistor and it should be fine. The esp32 pulls down the inputs so it would be safe.
