I seriously have been searching the web to find one of these colorful cabanas to have in our backyard. Do you know if they were privately designed just for cococay?
We also enjoyed a cabana at thrill waterpark in September via mariner of the sea. We booked the cabana ahead of time on our cruise planner because we had 6 in our party so it made sense to pay $399 rather than individual entrance fees to the park. I will add far in advance the waterpark passes were only $33 a piece so it would have only cost us $198, however, we didn't book fast enough and closer to sail date the price went up to $51 a piece for a total of $306 without cabana. But here comes the bonus; after we embarked on our cruise we had a booklet with excursion prices located in our cabin and we noticed the thrill waterpark cabana price was listed for only $299, that's $100 cheaper than what we had booked for! So I went to the excursion desk and they happily gave me a $100 credit. That means it was in fact cheaper for us to enjoy the luxury of having the private cabana with our 6 thrillpark passes. Our kids say this was by far their favorite vacation and truly was the highlight of our entire cruise. Royal Caribbeans upgrade to their private island is nothing short of impressive.
Just purchased for our family of 4 in February. A bit more than the price of 4 tickets but worth the extra cost for the first big vacay since the pandemic with our boys. Thanks for the details.
Wish you had touched on a point for small children. We're looking to book it with 2 small children (3 & 6) so I think that would be good so they can rest out of the sun for a bit or if Grandpa wants out of the sun too.
Hello. I am planning a cruise for June 2023 and cococay is the last stop of this trip. The cabanas price right now is $1,100.00 WOW. The bongalow cabanas cost $3,500 so far. Its very hard the extra cost.
How strict are they on number of people in the cabana? We have 6 adults, but 4 little children. They would be just fine sitting in the sand under the cabana and most of the time, half of our group will be out on the slides. Do they go around and enforce that only 6 people are in the cabana at a time? Or do they give wrist bands making it so we cant switch in and out? Thanks!
I was just there last week and I agree, you don’t need to rent a cabana in thrill water park to be comfortable. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to get out of the sun. We really enjoyed the wave pool and spent the midday there staying cool. Devil’s Tower was great! I got a little road rash on my bottom in the tube, I suggest board shorts for that ride. The crispy chicken sandwich was awesome! It’s good to mention that the seagulls can be a little bold and you should keep your food close, or it might get swooped up! We had planned to leave the water park area and go walk around the rest of the island, but we were happy to just stay there.
Thank you so much for this video! We have a Thrill Park cabana booked and it really wasn't clear if that included water park passes for everyone in our cabin.
While I think the extra cost options are great I'm concerned people are getting tired of Cruise Lines trying to get every nickle and dime from Cruisers . Just increase the cost to make them truly inclusive .
The great thing about perfect day at cococay is that after the recent upgrades paying for the optional entertainment is truly not necessary as most things on the island are completely inclusive of your original cruise fee. If large water slides aren't your thing, thrill waterpark isnt necessary.
Much appreciated! I have one booked for this December (and next December) and the locker info was a great surprise. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Hi Sheri, I just recently found out that Royal Carribean are building a Perfect Day in the South Pacific, So looking forward to seeing how it develops :0)
Question for those who have been here. We certainly want a Cabana somewhere. My wife wants Chill Island, my almost adult teenagers would prefer the thrill park. If we got one at chill Island and paid the extra for the waterpark tickets, is it close enough or fast enough with trolleys to go in between the two to be ok for a single day on the island. I am nervous that it would be very inconvenient, and the kids would never visit the chill island cabana during thew short 1 day stay on the island.
I was looking at the cost of a cabana in December of 2021 and the cost of the floating cabana at the Coco Beach Club with passes is $3398 for two people. That is so obscenely high that it makes me think this must be an error. $1699 to rent a cabana is very high as it is, but charging that much per person seems excessive. Is the planner providing incorrect pricing?
Is it possible that more than 6 people can access the cabana? I purchased a cabana rental but there are more then 6 people in our party. The extra people do plan on buying Thrill park tickets but I want to be sure that they can access at least the shade.
Where did you get your bag with the turtle. Went on Liberty of the Seas last May. We are hooked. Have learned soooo much from you. Thanks. We're going on Allure next year. Can't wait.
I didn't get any Cabana. We were all over the island. And I stayed at the island till 3pm because we wanted to take a shower and get ready to take professional pics at night
unless there is a special, the cabana cost is in addition to the thrill park tickets. we are going in July and its $999 and only includes one admission.
I would call and make sure of this because as I was told before we went up to 6 passes are included. We technically had 7 with us but since one was our 1year old they didn't count him.
Awesome video, I’m going next October and definitely interested in renting one. Question though, does the price of the cabana inc,use gratuities, or tip the attendant end of the day?
We HHS’s a cabana on the beach in late August and we were very disappointed No staff had any idea where we were to go and No staff ever came and offered drinks or foods land we had someone with a disability. Very upsetting, they had to go back to boat for the day. Would not do it again.
Hey Laura, once you book your cruise, you will have access to the cruise planner on the Royal Caribbean website which is tied to YOUR booking. You can reserve it there.
Interesting that your price is 50% of the cost of the being quoted for my cruise in April ($999). I guess they are attempting to maximize their margins during peak spring break season. 🤨😢
NsimB1913 I thought the same thing. We went in May of this year and paid $499 for a family of 6. This was a 7 day cruise. My cruise in May of 2020 has a $999.00 cost for the same cabana. We spent so much time away from the cabana that it’s not worth the cost. $499 was reasonable but I would never pay $999
Great video is always I have a problem when going to a waterpark cost $95 a person that is local water parks for a fraction of that cost!the cruise ship or cruise lines as what I should say is forcing you to stop at this island that is there islandso you can spend more money yet this should be included in the cost of your ship cruise maybe not the Cabana but definitely the water park! I rather they stopped at another port and actually pay for an excursion maybe that would be entertaining yet informativethey're setting up these islands these Cruise lines because of the crime in a lot of the ports that are on the itinerary so why make us pay were there island!? Okay done with my rant LOL
Sheri taught me the Bahamians’ pronunciation is “key” and the tourists pronounce it “kay”. Sheri made the decision to use the local cultural pronunciation. She says you will hear both pronunciations, one can decide which one they want to go with!
Nice to see the cabanas I built in use....im glad you enjoyed it

Love this, thank you! Great job presenting!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!

I agree, and I wouldn't spend that!

Awesome, glad it was helpful Krista! Have fun!
came across this today, shocked to know it's only $499 3 years ago. It costs $1400 for my upcoming cruise in Nov.
$1800 for ours icon of the seas next year
Such a great video! We are so getting one!
I've always been interested in the cabanas, but yeah, the cost is always such a shocker for only 2 people. Sounds like it worked okay for you guys.
Nice review, very helpful! I'm going in April this year! Can't wait!
Thank you Sherri. I have a a family of 5 and I will get this cabana on our cruise. Lovely.
While I think the extra cost options are great I'm concerned people are getting tired of Cruise Lines trying to get every nickle and dime from Cruisers . Just increase the cost to make them truly inclusive .
MassacMongo99 amen to that! The extra costs far exceed the value of a cruise these days, in my humble opinion.
The great thing about perfect day at cococay is that after the recent upgrades paying for the optional entertainment is truly not necessary as most things on the island are completely inclusive of your original cruise fee. If large water slides aren't your thing, thrill waterpark isnt necessary.
Great idea. So increase the cost of the cruise for everyone by $2500 so I don't have to pay extra for the over water cabana.
Do you know if wave pool is open in Dec 24 is water too cold ?
Great video. Thank you. The Cabana at the water park for my trip in November is showing as $1,200. Ouch. That’s a lot!
This is so worth it
Much better than the floating ones
OK, I'll bite.
Why are they better?
Much appreciated! I have one booked for this December (and next December) and the locker info was a great surprise. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Ty for so imformative! Do you get to pick the location of your cabana? You mentioned there were 3 areas in the waterpark. Would I be able to choose?
Hi Sheri,

Probably not.
But it wouldn't hurt to call and make sure.
Maybe by the time your get to customer service, the price will drop.
Hi Sheri good video as always. Do you have to pay to enter the park even if not riding the slides?
No you enter for free with your cruise.
You can go on Coco Cay free, but going into the water park area will cost money.
Great information Sheri. Thanks for sharing. 😊

We're not sure what the current policy is, but when you go to rent the cabana, the fine print should outline the max # of people who can use it.
Where did you get your bag with the turtle. Went on Liberty of the Seas last May. We are hooked. Have learned soooo much from you. Thanks. We're going on Allure next year. Can't wait.
Thanks for the review
hi awesome tips were crusin on december 7,2019 we book cabana @thrill waterpark looking forward soo xciteng thanks for sharing♥️🤣🤣

Interesting question. I would think that the cruise ship gratuities would cover them.
we had suite and they gave us free cabana and we were served steak and lobster and champagne all part of having a suite
Please do a video on the over water bungalows when they become available!
Harr Travel has done one on You tube.
499? On my cruise it’s 1299!
I paid 299
O.O are you going during a peak season sailing maybe? Cuz WHOA!
We booked it for Symphony in late APR 2021 for $499... Oasis at the end of MAY 2020 is $999 for us... not planning on booking it for that price!
Yes it’s 999.99 during my cruise.
So informative! Thank you!
Our pleasure!
What do you do if you have 7 people? But only 6 will go on slides.
The cabanas only allow up to 6 people and they are pretty strict on the numbers
This is so helpful! We’re going to coco cay next year in sept as well 👍🏼 thank you for this informative video 😊
Was the food included?
Yes
We HHS’s a cabana on the beach in late August and we were very disappointed No staff had any idea where we were to go and No staff ever came and offered drinks or foods land we had someone with a disability. Very upsetting, they had to go back to boat for the day. Would not do it again.
Did you share this with the ship's crew??????
What is the website for purchasing the cabana online?
Hey Laura, once you book your cruise, you will have access to the cruise planner on the Royal Caribbean website which is tied to YOUR booking. You can reserve it there.
@@CruiseTipsTV thanks a bunch, found it!
I will be there next Dec I can't wait. 😁
Me too! I'm soo excited!

$999 on the April 4th Symphony sailing!
Can you share the cabana with another cabin?
Purvis 1993
Yes
We had two families in different cabins. As long as you don’t exceed 6 people it’s fine
Are the waterpark passes really $100? I thought the pricing was closer to $60.
So just buying a pass to the Thrill Waterpark includes a cabana? Great review BTW, we can't wait to go! :-)
No, but but buying a thrill waterpark cabana DOES get you waterpark passes. Cabanas are extra. Only thrill waterpark cabanas include waterpark passes.
@@CruiseTipsTV Got it! Thanks!
@@CruiseTipsTV So for the over water cabanas you pay extra for the waterpark?
The water park is not included in cruise?
It's not, unfortunately.

Did you call it coco key?
Sheri taught me the Bahamians’ pronunciation is “key” and the tourists pronounce it “kay”. Sheri made the decision to use the local cultural pronunciation. She says you will hear both pronunciations, one can decide which one they want to go with!
Yes, she did. Cay is actually pronounced Key in the Caribbean.
Yes , she did. Cay is actually pronounced key in the Caribbean.
66azannor Cay is pronounced key
The Cabana is 800 now
OUCH! I believe it!
$1000 TODAY
$1199 today
so Where is Coco Cay?
It’s in the Bahamas.
@@CruiseTipsTV Thanks :-)
You showed $4.99 for your cabana, I think you meant $499.00
CAY
it's too expensive for us
Great video Sherri. Thanks for the information.
