My 14 year old daughter and I went out on the Freedom of the Seas in April and booked a day at coco beach club, we loved it so much. With the new adult club open, coco so laid back, not even sold out. We can't wait to visit again.
We did Hideaway this March off Icon. We totally loved it... no kids ... The pool was terrific and yes there is quite a party vibe going on, that was all entertaining for us. We've done the beach club in the past but would not pay more than $100 for it. BTW my wife and I are 70, Hideaway was still better for us. we plan to do Hideaway on all our future visits to CocoCay.
We are going to CoCoCay in August on the Utopia. We have booked the CoCo Beach Club on sale for $165pp! Normal price was $195. Hideaway is around $75. Looking forward to the Beach Club!
I booked Hideaway on my last cruise and it was fun hanging by the beach. My next cruise I couldn’t decide if I want to try Beach Club for my first time so I’m booked for both. lol.
Great comparison. As a sand and surf person, I would choose the beach - probably even a free beach because the food would not be a deciding factor. But - between the two, my first pick would be Coco Beach Club.
Was at the Hideaway this weekend with my little group. I liked it. Especially because I found out that the organizer of this little trip had a fund from our organization that she used to pay for it and for the prepaid gratuities as well. We ended up having a few beers and some wings and cracked conch at The Pirate Inn. I took note of all the places you mentioned there in Nassau. We declimbed the Queens Steps ...in the rain.
@@TheWeekendCruiserand I noticed what you pointed out about Coco Cay despite all the neighborhoods being really quite small. Especially when I saw it from the Flowrider.
We just went for the first time in April so have nothing to compare it to but we loved Hideaway beach. Grabbed it when it went on sale for $18.99. The sand was beautiful and loved the heated pool as the lagoon water was a little chilly but not too bad that it prevented us from enjoying it. I’d say average age was 50’s. Was glad we did it as our sailing has lots of kids onboard so it was nice to escape that for a bit. My wife loved the coconut shrimp. Our only complaint is we don’t like the club type music but it was not too bad at the loungers we were on in the front row. I’d say it’s worth it if you can get for
Great video. Not spending the money on either. My choice is free - South beach almost every time but sometime chill island if i am just not in the mood to walk or wait for a tram.
hahah same here!!! If you look at the videos, you will see I did the What to do for free at CocoCay video well before I did this one. Def more of a free guy myself too! I want to go on more cruises!
My cousin and I booked Hideaway. We usually stay at Chill Island, but saw the price and thought it might be worth it for a different experience. This will be our fourth time at Coco Cay.
Hey Brandon. New sub here. I’m going to coco cay on December. Should I book hideaway beach now or wait till I get closer to sailing to get a better price? Thanks in advance for your tips!
I'll be on Reflection in August. When the ship stops at Coco Cay I'm planning to stay onboard. Hopefully most passengers will be going on to the island and I'll have the ship pool, which will cost me nothing, all to myself.
I was on the Explorer in April, Labadee was replaced with Coco Cay. We were lucky enough to try Hideaway Beach for $19.99- glad I tried it but probably wouldn't do it again.
If you can't afford the CoCo Beach Club, but want to stay away from "the party", what/where would you recommend? We did a cabana at Chill Island 2 months ago, but another cabana was playing loud music which kind of spoilt it. (I know that's their right, but you couldn't relax with the music going)
That is a tough one these days and boomboxes or speakers are showing up more and more. I would say give the cabanas another try. I do like that section and it feels a little more exclusive. You just had bad luck on that day :-(
So that is the reason for the price difference Brandon! The food! Coco Beach Club has the more expensive food options whereas Hideaway Beach had the beach bar food.
We will be there via Celebrity Reflection in August - we booked the Hideaway beach at around $30 - I was thinking of switching after watching this - but after checking the price of the Coco Bay beach club - $190 - no thanks!
Co Co beach clubs pool is freezing cold! I mean the coldest pool I have ever been in!! There was only a 3 or 4 people in it! This was in November of 2021. I don’t know if it’s changed since then, but I’ve heard the same complaints recently. It’s what keeps me away. Hideaway’s pool was warm and I could walk right into it. It was a definitely a heated pool. If they’ve fixed the beach clubs pool and it’s warm now, someone please tell me. Otherwise, I’m not going back. Lol
Hey Julie! I swear it is heated, was it broken when you were there or am I totally wrong in this? Yes, I am curious on some recent intel on the Coco Beach Club pool to if it is heated. Maybe someone will chime in :-)
You don't have to go too far back in history to find that version of Royal Caribbean! It is the main reason you see me cruising on other lines today :-)
If I have my kids with me I wouldn’t pay for the beach club for our family. But if it’s just my husband and I, I am happy to pay for hideaway beach just to escape from kids:)

That is awesome and does sound like an amazing day!

Thanks for sharing Kevin! Yes, my info is very generic and you have to go where it works best for you! You and your wife sound like a good time!

That's crazy how they price it, Coco Beach club is 107 and Hideaway beach is 41 for me. Allure September 2024
@@Moist46 Coco Beach is 84.00 right now on sale.....Maybe I should click purchase. Dec 2 sailing Liberty
Sheesh, I just booked Coco Cay Beach Club for our December sailing at $73.99.
This upcoming price for Hideaway is 69.00 for Dec2 Liberty and Coco Beach only 84.00(sale)
Yeah, the intro pricing honeymoon is over... :-(
I booked Hideaway on my last cruise and it was fun hanging by the beach. My next cruise I couldn’t decide if I want to try Beach Club for my first time so I’m booked for both. lol.
Paid $152 for beach club and $49 for Hideaway. This is a double oasis day so it will be busy.
Have a blast! Def eat at the beach club!
Great comparison. As a sand and surf person, I would choose the beach - probably even a free beach because the food would not be a deciding factor. But - between the two, my first pick would be Coco Beach Club.
Same here Judi! I am Coco Beach all the way.
Great comparison. We usually go Breezy Bay right next to the Chill island day beds and have a great time.

You are a trooper Jeff if you walked around Nassau in the rain! Sounds like a fun group!

its 70.00 now!!
Great comparison of the pay venues at Coco Cay. Thanks, Brandon.
Thank you for your detailed comparison!
This is incredible 😮I can’t wait to go
Thanks so much Brandon. Your videos are so informative, helpful and well done!
Thanks Michelle! Greatly appreciated!

going to the Beach Club for the third time in September. Love how peaceful it is. Best part of Beach Club is no DJ. Keep your bluetooth speakers out.
Thank you fir the brilliant comparison!

It's always a big of a gamble. I would say go ahead and book it now and if price changes significantly, cancel and rebook. Hope you have a great time!

That is one of my favorite tricks! You will have a great time on the ship!

Same here Jewels. One and done.
I love the Ools...note there is no "P" in it! LOL
haha, is that the closed captains?? I don't always proof them as well as I should and sometimes they are funnier than I am!
Hideaway is the only place I wanna be at Cococay now 💃🏽

I would say food and it is more exclusive. The food there is not worth $100+ but it is much better than Hideaway's pizza :-)
We will be there via Celebrity Reflection in August - we booked the Hideaway beach at around $30 - I was thinking of switching after watching this - but after checking the price of the Coco Bay beach club - $190 - no thanks!
You should have a million followers
hahah hopefully one day!! We are working on it! About to cross another milestone this week!

Of course it's a heated pool if people are never getting out... Probably salty too!😂🤔
hahaha I mean.... you are not wrong!
Royal has created a cruise experience that is far out of my budget. It was not always that way.
You don't have to go too far back in history to find that version of Royal Caribbean! It is the main reason you see me cruising on other lines today :-)
🛳🛳🛳
If I have my kids with me I wouldn’t pay for the beach club for our family. But if it’s just my husband and I, I am happy to pay for hideaway beach just to escape from kids:)
haha I think that is exactly why most people are paying the cover charge lol
Cocoa Beach Club for me. I don’t want the party vibe.
I wouldn't pay money to go to either of those places
haha, Nancy, I am not far behind you! For a special occasion I would do Coco Beach club but Hideaway will only be due to peer pressure from others.
