Cynthia Watros was sublime. Annie's descent into tragic villainy was masterful. Her scenes with Zimmer, Newman and Raines were electric.
Cynthia DESERVED that Emmy she won I remember that year she was AMAZING! the wedding and the courtroom scenes! I still remember those scenes.
I loved watching Guiding Light too back in the day. This is a nice reunion. I loved Laura Wright as Cassie, she doesn’t seem to age one bit. She’s gorgeous and I loved her scenes with Kim Zimmer, who is the most amazing actress ever.Cynthia Watros is also one of the best soap actresses ever.
Laura states having 120 pages of dialogue to do tape like 6 shows in a day. How do they remember so much dialogue? They have incredible memories to do that.

I am glad Cynthia said we need to be grateful. We are still alive and people are sick and dying so why should we complain about being lockdown. It is truly better than the alternative. Praise God!

I am repeating my invitation to coffee (last time was when I learned we were in Atlanta at the same time). Anyway, all things in time ... like post-Corona....
Yes, I agree with Daniel. Watching these installments is like a time warp, and also a time capsule, where I can peer back 25 years...to some people, all of them actually, that I really, really loved. Still do. So big hat's off and much respect to this person I'm only just learning about, Alan Locher. Thank you for what you're doing.
So anyway Watros. Amazing...always simply amazing. A lot of us seem to agree. I have to say that I think you (though I hate to single anyone out in any pantheon of greatness) are the most purely talented actress I ever watched, anywhere, in any medium, in any age. The best. No stretch, no smoke. You were and are simply amazing. Can't escape that word. But so much amazing talent there...so the bar is high!
And this caliber was on the same show as me. Unreal. I only feel a loss because Brent / Marian never had any scenes with Watros. And you were not even a villain at the time I was on the show, ever...! I was shocked to hear that's how they took your story. Well like so much else, it's a Mystery. Not so much when you consider Reva's capability to drive people insane :-)
Laura I knew you some but only from when you were on OTLT, I think? Can't remember, but I was very close to a role on that show (taken, rightly so, at the screen test, by Sean Christian, from both me AND Skeet Ulrich!!! That was a long, difficult day that did not end well for this guy...except that I ended up at GL, which to me was the Holy Land of Daytime, simply because of the quality of the actors. I love Daniel when he was on Atwt and he had so much chemistry with Terri Conn who plays Katie on the soap. But I miss Atwt, I’m so ready for the time travel to come. Just ready to go back to those days!

I got hooked on GL back in 1981, when I would come home from school and my sister would be watching it. I tell you, it is addicting. All the crazy story lines, the drama, the action, the hook ups, the break-ups, the lies, the deaths, the resurrection, the love stories etc. Oh how I miss my GUIDING LIGHT. I was a true fan for 28 years. Watching those old footage on UA-cam made my day. It brought back so many memories, I enjoyed it very much. My Guiding Light favorite Character was Reva Shayne Lewis, played by the fabulous Kim Zimmer. Also, Nola Reardon was a hoot. Love stories like Kelly&Morgan and Beth&Phillip was enticing. Also Jonathan Randal, Reva's youngest son played by Tom Pelphrey- boy he did such a great convincing job portraying that character,
I loved Cynthia and Laura on Guiding Light and now I love them on General Hospital.

Cynthia Watros took us through such an emotional journey as Annie Dutton on Guiding Light. I know that she made Reva’s life hell but she made me root for her!!
When Cynthia won her Emmy she beat Susan Lucci and as much I loved Susan I didn't mind that and I wasn't shocked that Cynthia won that year! She was Awesome that wedding scene when Josh left her at the altar. OMG!
Never would I root for annie dutton.

@@BLTKellys Susan Lucci doesn't have to be on Cynthia Watros level as actress .Miss Lucci is an icon in the daytime TV world forever and for always, even though all my children is long gone!
Terry Lauren Vuitton I know she is but there are plenty of amazing actors in daytime drama who are far more talented than she ever will be but don’t get the press she does because they are not as glamourous.

General hospital is great I been watching for37years
Never really watched General Hospital just heard about it. It's only one of the few soaps left. I gave up watching Young and the Restless. Quit watching Bold and the Beautiful decades ago. I miss it when soaps were more Regular People. Guiding Light have the Bauers in the Riordan's. As the World Turns the Hughes is in the Snyders. I pretty much gave up on The Guiding Light when it became the Reva Shayne show also starring the mob family.
It’s hard to believe Laura Wright is nearly 50. She looks great.
She just glows. She is so beautiful
Watching all of these live stream chats with the performers of the wonderful golden age of television soap opera where radio soaps came to the small screen in your home every week day. Just a handful still exist and so many say they wish they would all return. So bored with lame talk shows. Thank you Alan Locher for coming up with these lovely reunions.

I miss my springfield family
I loved seeing all of these wonderful actors from daytime soap. I grew up w/ these characters watching alongside my late grandmother in the mid 90s. Cynthia Watros' performance as Annie Dutton was seared into my memory at age 12. Laura Wright is stunningly ageless.. thanks for doing this!

Wow, that was an AMAZING show. Thank you Alan, Cynthia, Emme, Laura, Wes and Daniel. I enjoyed this show so much. I started watching G H when my husband joined the Army. I was barely 18 with a 1month old son. I watched AMC, OLTL every single day , and then I added GH. Laura, I was so mad when you took over Carly, however, now I can't imagine anyone else playing Carly .You all are such seasoned professionals, and I love to see you all work. When I spent a better part of a yr in the hospital , you all saved my life. Also being bi-polar, Maurice has always been extra special to me. Thank you for doing those no-one story lines. Your writers are amazing!!!

I have been watching General Hospital since I was 13 years old..... Sometimes my friend would take me with her to her to watch it. Her Mom would make buttery popcorn inI use to has Day Care and that was my breac k. I am now almost 60 years old and have a kind of Parkinson’s. It’s called Dystonia. I am very thankful for the way you all hit real life stories along with all the silliness. I always wanted to be a writer but I am just thankful for some of the Drama things that my children got to be in. I am on hospice and for the last few years I have thought about how I could write my story... Laura I wrote this before you talked about different disabilities. I have 4 kids 3 step kids 2 foster and now I have 10 grandkids. Maybe some day someone will tell my story.🙆🏽😘❤️❤️
Daniel Cosgrove is a great actor. I miss seeing him on tv dramas right now. He gave some great performances in some really poor writing at Days of Our Lives. He had a great chemistry with Kristian Alfonso. He is an amazing actor. Love the GH guys. I never really watched GL.

Day's HW, Sheri Anderson, for many of best stories before Ron Calivarti as HW now. Sheri Anderson wrote Annie Sutton for Cynthia Watros. Most Days long time fans know about Cynthia Watros as Annie Suuton because of Sheri Anderson. It was discussed by many Days fans. Cynthia Watros is revered with many Days folks because we went to look at old GL footage of Annie Sutton. As we watched some crazy episodes with character of Abigail on Days. Love GH. Great work. Havent been watching recently even before Pandemic. But Laura Wright and Emme Rylan are all time faves. We all love Daniel Cosgrove.

I'm watching this a week later and I'm one of those people who is home most of the time due to health issues and I love that we have at least 2 of my favorite soaps left on CBS and I had met at least 2 of those people at local events and personally so glad you are doing this so that we can see the great actors who are either on other soaps or no longer with us I really have miss As The World Turns and Guiding since they have been off and it has made me so happy for you to have this so that we can see these great people again thank you so much💜💜

@@TheLocherRoom Alan I'm so upset by the idea that we have only 4yrs for Y& R many of us fans have expressed that many things that have replaced them have been cancelled anyway and some of us have observed that the So called reality show have some form of scripting so it's not completely reality the fans really wish the soaps had never been cancelled💜💜

I remember Daniel Cosgrove on All My Children and Scott Chandler and I also remember him on Beverly Hills 90210 I think he played the character of Matt it was in the last couple seasons of that show! Love Laura Wright as Carly Corinthos she is probably my favorite I loved Sarah Brown as Carly and Tamara Braun as Carly they all brought their own flavor of Carly and Laura she just came into her own!

Yes, they were all very special. Amelia held her own with the Late Michael Zaslow (Ex Roger Thorpe). Monti represented the New Wave Of African American Actors on Soaps who like Kevin Mambo won a Daytime Emmy for his work. Nia Long would of course work on some of the most successful African American Movies like Boyz In The Hood, and The Best Man. So many African American Actors worked on Guiding Light . Jesse L. Martin Taye Diggs, Sharon Leal, Vince Williams (RIP), Petronia Paley and Geoffrey Ewing.

Alan I think there’s a book inside you. There are so many positive things that came out of soap production. The mean streets of reality television shows us that a scripted drama is the real deal, and obviously so are you.
Bizzie was my ship back in the day but idk if I would want them together if still played by ER and DC just based on how time has played out. I was like 10 when I first started watching GL and Crystal was playing Lizzie at the time I think. I didn’t realize that even with Sorasing he was an adult when she was born lol
