The magic Danny and Michelle shared was such a beautiful love story. A lot of soaps even prime or movie couples couldn't compare to their chemistry. Amazing acting on their part. The Santos family line was always entertaining to watch.
Bethany joy Lenz is such a good actress she literally has chemistry with everyone she's partnered with.
I liked Nancy St. Alban as well.
I just thought yesterday that I would love to see a Hallmark movie with Joy Lenz & Paul Anthony Stewart. I was watching one with Joy.
I been enjoying watching these interviews when, I have a block of time to watch. These interviews have been awesome to see. I wish Guiding Light and as the World Turns as could of went on forever. Loved the Santos Family, they all had even and still like like they could be related in real life. Nordic is still quite good looking. Saundra still has that soothing motherly voice.
They are my favorite family. I LOVED watching Danny and Michelle's story. Manny as a lot of us fans called them. Saundra is such a great actress and even though her character was horrible to Michelle I still loved watching her.
Wonderful to see everyone here! I was a big fan of Paul since his days on Loving, such a terrific actor, and he was unlike anyone else on daytime at that time.
OG Manny was so special.. So wonderful to see everyone again!! Thank you for putting this together!!

I'm so sad I missed this live! I loved the Santos clan so much. Joy and Paul had such chemistry and I was glued to my screen every time they were on. Side note, I saw Saundra in Nine and she was wonderful!!

That was actually a pleasant surprise - I was always such a harsh critic of the Santos saga and how it completely blanketed the Springfield canvas almost overnight, but time has passed and perhaps I should go back and rewatch the whole thing again with a fresh new perspective. Watching the principle actors in this wonderful reunion was a joy ... again, it has been proven the GL set must have been the best set to work in daytime; these actors all appear to be in awe of one another and have nothing but fond memories of their time with one another. Thanks for making this possible, Alan.
These interviews are so well done. I had no idea the actors had so much chemistry behind the scenes. That’s been the biggest takeaway from watching the Guiding Light reunions.
I got hooked on GL back in 1981, when I would come home from school and my sister would be watching it. I tell you, it is addicting. All the crazy story lines, the drama, the action, the hook ups, the break-ups, the lies, the deaths, the resurrection, the love stories etc. Oh how I miss my GUIDING LIGHT. I was a true fan for 28 years. Watching those old footage on UA-cam made my day. It brought back so many memories, I enjoyed it very much. My Guiding Light favorite Character was Reva Shayne Lewis, played by the fabulous Kim Zimmer. Also, Nola Reardon was a hoot. Love stories like Kelly&Morgan and Beth&Phillip was enticing. Also Jonathan Randal, Reva's youngest son played by Tom Pelphrey- boy he did such a great convincing job portraying that character,
I love this!! Thank you for doing this. Watched Guiding Light for many years. Great seeing this and now watching old episodes on UA-cam. I love Jordi since I watch Y&R . A big fan of his.. Wish you could get Vincent Irizarry and Judi Evans the original Beth on here. It would be great to see them( Beth and Lujack)..

I got to meet the original Father Ray while he was still on Guiding Light. I walked into a bar near the Marriott in Times Square, I saw him in the corner and I kept looking at him. I tried not to fan girl out. I went up to introduce myself and told him what a huge fan I was as the show. He was really sweet and talked to me for a while. He was replaced not long after.
I loved when the Santos Family joined Guiding LIght! And I love Saundra so much I drove from Chicago to New York City for one day to see her in "Bernada Alba". Wonderful wonderful performance!

Love all of you guys praying that you guys stay well I miss my guiding light that was my favorite soap opera I was so devastated when it ended you all were the best and kept me glued to all your story lines you guys all look so amazing I only wish guiding light was still on the air thank you all for all the years of great stories and keeping us in suspense what a great run it was and what amazing actors and actresses you all were please be well and safe

I never liked the second michelle either. Sandra Paul and Joy all look exactly the same.

Hi Alan, thanks for all the work you do getting these stars together. We really appreciate it. It's just a tragedy in my eyes that this idea never occurred to us before the pandemic. Perhaps we have learned a thing or two about the importance of community.
Jordi's Tony and Mara were 1 of my all time favorite couples on GL.
I was also a fan of guiding light, I really liked Danny and Michelle when they were so in love with each other

Watching old clips and I just got an idea... it would be so cool to bring on Bryan Buffimgton and Rachel Minor who played Bill and Michelle as kids. They were SOO GOOD. Amazing child actors. I never made the connection but Rachel played Meg (2) on supernatural... one of my favorite shows. It would be cool to see those two together again and what memories they have of gl.

Did Father Ray ever "sin" on the soap or was tempted? I pretty much stopped watching by then. I liked Danny and Michelle as well. I hate the rabbits got killed. Maybe he could gave just set traps for them. The hell with the rats.
@@ilahildasissac1943 Father Ray pretty much honored his role as a priest. He helped out a couple of people unjustly accused hide out from the police but other than that, no.

FROM GINA ON MIAMI VICE IN THE 80'S TO CARMEN SANTOS ON GUIDING LIGHT. FOR PAUL I KNOW HE PLAYED ON ANOTHER SOAP BUT I LOVED DANNY SANTOS. TOOK ED BAUER A LITTLE TIME TO ACCEPT. I THINK MICHELLE BAUER REALLY CHANGED DANNY. JORDI I SAW HOW TONY GREW UP ON THE SHOW. I STILL MISS REY ROSALES ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. In The UK, there were alot of Mothers who were very needy on their Sons. Brian Tilsley's Mother Ivy was very possessive of her Son Brian. Then if you look at the Relationship with Mothers/Sons in Peyton Plaice, Return To Peyton Place. . On The UK Soap Opera EastEnders Ian Beale and his Mother Kathy have a very complicated relationship. His Mother is Blond who had him at 16 and all four of his Wives were Blonde. Cindy, Laura who was once a Brunette, Mel and Jane. All of them left him. Paul Rauch wasn't always a Saint. He Fired Maeve Kinkead (Ex Vanessa) when she wanted to keep her Hair Grey. Also ON UK Soaps they bring a entire Family at once. The Taylors debuted on June 15th 2017 on Eastenders and they became perennial favorites. Saundra don't forget The "Santos" Family on All My Children.

I’m writing a reunion movie featuring The Santos family also I’m retconning Tony’s death and Catalina’s death as well.
Ray had two brothers Anthony who was Jordi and Antonio who was Stephen both were named Tony The 2 Tony’s Ray & Danny called them. It was Antonio played by Stephen who was the Tony who died not the Tony played by Jordi. Call them twins or something but Antonio took more after Mick.

He played Father Ray on GL. Before that he played Detective Alex Garcia on General Hospital and its spin-off show, Port Charles.

Guiding Light has so much in common with the UK Soap Opera Eastenders (1985-Present). There's an Indian Family called The Pansears who came to Albert Square (which in it's early days made 5th Street look like Sesame Street). The Matriarch Suki is very evil to the point that she made her kids think that she had Cancer and framed another Son for Murder althoguh he didn't do it because he wasn't doing his "Job" properly. When he went to Collect from a Family who lived in a set of Flats aka Apartments, they didn't have the full amount, and if that weren't enough to beat the band, the place had Mold, and wasn't up to Rental Standards but The Family had no choice, either The Flat or on The Streets.
