Everything happens for a purpose. Life is a roll a coaster ride. You have your ups and downs, so enjoy it because when the ride is over, it’s over. As with everything you’re very resourceful. Glad you made it

I believe enjoying the ride is correct! I've never changed the water pump before, but that doesn't mean I can't learn!

You can print out the correct belt routing online and clear tape it under the hood for future reference. Mechanics hand cleaner will negate the chemicals so maybe throw a bottle in the truck with some water and blue towels. Get a few mechanics lights ( I use Milwaukee M12), they are low light and can be recharged faster than they are used if you have an inverter and a charger and more than one M12 battery. A head lamp is also a winner.
Jocko would say "good" about what happened to you. Embrace the struggle since we are not dead and whatnot. I try.... I really do. In other news, be glad you were not in Ohio yesterday at least, the wind was ridiculous and most aggravating. I was very happy when I got back to the Appalachia hills. I probably should never leave. I might be starting a roadside recovery gig after I do some truck upgrades and will be able to respond to these types of issues in the future. Wouldn't have helped yesterday though, cause I was being blown over in Ohio..
Your positive attituded during adversity continues to impress me. You guys are doing great. Let me know if I can ever be of assistance. I will try to friend you on Facebook so we can communicate.

You have an easy pump. My kia spectra water pump is driven by a timing belt. Its supposed to be changed on a 60K mile schedule because a pump failure would break the belt and trash the engine. What a dumb design. 😶
Glad you got it sorted out.

I've heard this now from several people. My neighbor in KY says he has an EcoBoost engine and Ford made a mess of that design. YOu have to take half the engine apart to get to it!
