Just getting so much info from your videos and also relatable fittings . Like the quote that you only should need 10/15 balls to know what is required. Brilliant
100% - make sure your fitting is a fitting and not a long drive comp. Glad you're taking stuff from it, fitting is my wheel house so love bringing these types of vids to the channel
Loved this video. I think Trottie, you are one of my favourite golfers to watch, you have so much passion in these fittings, it's just fun to watch. I've also learned a bit, I game the p770s currently and I would say my bad shots almost perfectly resemble his. I hit a draw, bad shot is a bit of a hook and sometimes a push which he has. Difference is I am stuck at around a 10, not got the consistency, but as I say, you are so intriguing to watch, it's made me consider a lighter shaft. I game the project x lz 6.5 125 gram, I don't have access to all the tech you do, but I probably hit my 7 iron about 180 carry, sometimes get the spin, sometimes don't so might be worth considering. Keep up the great content mate. Always enjoy the videos.
Wow. Love your wisdom. I would love to have a fitting like this - pretty sure that would be next level experiences on the course afterwards... I can't stop my M2 mid irons on the green... time for a change me thinks 🙂
TaylorMade need to make something between the p770 and p7mc. P770 is too chunky and the speed slots can produce nukes. TM got it spot on with the 2017 p750 and p770, with the p770 being just a bit longer in blade length and more forgiving, yet still having the great look. I see Titleist are doing that with the new T150.
Really interesting video! The content I enjoy watching! I recently had a fitting for P770 and it went a similar way, ended up with a lighter shaft (Modus rather than DG) and ended up going 2 flat also as my club path data was basically identical to this fitting. Interestingly my launch numbers with a 7-iron were at 20-21 degrees, is this a good range to be in, or too high compared to the data shown in this vid? (Was trackman too)
I was just fitted for a MC, 770 combo bag myself. However, for the 770s we decided to make them weaker rather than the MCs stronger. What are your thoughts on that approach? The the 770s are the 3-5 iron.
What does it mean if the impact tape on my putter shows all the marks dead center left to right but up and down all the marks are very high on the face? Loft problem? It's a blade putter and the only blade one I'm very inconsistent
I'd say it means you're de-lofting the putter into impact or you have too much shaft lean at the start. Providing I'm understanding you correctly. With the whole blade v mallet deal. I feel like as you mention that you're inconsistent then a mallet might be a good buy to see some improvement through your equipment that'll benefit you without changing anything outside of the equipment you use.
I have been to 3 fittings this year. Everyone wants me 3* upright and .5 longer. Without seeing me swing. Dude... I draw the ball and now you want me to hook? I hade 4 joints replaced in the last 10 years .My swing has changed. My right knew need to be replaced. I had a 5 yard draw. probably flicking the wrist. It worked. Got it replaced and my swing was all overt he place. draw, stright, blocked. I think I need .5 length and 2 flat. that feels better. They tell me I am wrong. Why are fitters stuck on PINGS static measurements?
Thoughts on playing iron shafts through the set vs. wedge specific shafts in 56/60? Any general pros and cons? Ball flight? I have 2020 P7MC and MG3 52/TW 56/60.
Not sure it’s a challenge 🤣 , all you’d see is me making more decisions for the PLYR unless they were an established 18 and set in their ways…. But of course I’m up for doing that. I’ll be on the 18 hcp look out
With all respect, it's insane to see the difference in quality of the striking in comparison with a Miccah Morris and Grant Horvat while te guy here is almost (4hcp) a scratch golfer... just points out again how skilled Miccah and Grant are!
@@trottiegolf swing weight vs overall weight they are not the same as you well know. From my perspective/experience overall weight has a larger influence on being able to feel where the club head is especially as it nears impact. Swing weight however has more of an impact in the club’s overall stiffness. How I feel those two variables as I tinker with clubs in my basement!! Cheers.
@@mariofonseca9267 that's your take and I respect that. I've seen 105 steel and 55g graphite go in play on tour at a variance of speeds but in those club builds I've never seen the swing weight deviate from a PLYR's preference. I get it, deadweight plays a role but swing weight is crucial in all club builds and everything I've done on tour would back that up. Again though..... what you feel as a player is your deal, if you don't like 105g then I'm down with that, 105 is out for you when it comes to your game.
@@trottiegolf not that I don’t like 105, but the formula to get to the best performing club has many variables. This in next level knowledge here. Anyone who has had a generic fitting will know this is miles ahead of what the majority of fittings are like.
What a lucky guy. A fitting from trottie is the dream.

sick video... knowledge off the charts
This is great
I’m just getting back into it after only playing a couple times a year for last 15 years
Definitely looking at lighter shafts

I enjoyed these fitting video’s absolutely awesome!!
Well done Chris 👏 😊
I’d love to come in for fitting at the kingdom one day. What an experience that must be ✌🏻
Love a trottie fitting
Very interesting. Thank you. 😊😊
3mins 29sec fitting done 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 love it 👍👍
Ian’s probably played Anstruther golf club a few times! 🏴

very relatable. the hamster is running mad right now
Dibs on being your 20 HCP fitting
Trottie- I have a certificate for a fitting at the Kingdom from 2010, is it still good?
Great to watch Trottie. Changing to a flatter lie can compensate for a pull?
absolutely, toe will experience turf interaction first therefore less turn overs
@@trottiegolf thanks 👍

All depends on your spin and launch requirements , don’t hate it if that’s what you need

🤬 was dropped. Gotta keep it clean for the kids
If I may ask... What Golf app do you use when going through the numbers?
That’s a launch monitor that I screen grab from

I LOVE a high ball flight with my irons. The PW has to be 47 degrees or I won't buy it
I love my combo set, 4-7 p770, 8-PW mc
Where does trottie do these fittings?
Why don’t I getting fittings like this at my local fitting center?
For starters because you most likely get fit inside and you really can’t compare that to the real thing
@@mariofonseca9267 actually it’s outside where I get fit. They never go into this level of detail

The FITR needs to know the injuries and background before going straight to static fitting

I wonder how much a fitting costs with trottie, a fortune I bet, as an 18 handicapper, iv more chance of getting 3 wishes from a genie. 😂

What shaft did you fit him for?
probably dynamic gold 105 x100
