Loved that this golfer was much closer in handicap than most shown in videos
Thank you for watching!!
This is why I watch 2nd Swing videos. That’s the experience everyone (all skill levels) should believe is available when spending upwards of 2-4k on getting set up!
Driver setup
He must have really bad short game if he is a 20 handicapper. He has a good swing and has good distance.
Finally a normal weekend warrior!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a pleasure to get fit from guys. Shout out to LB and Minnetonka crew!
Thank you for cutting out the driver part 😂
lol
You have a better swing than me with way more distance. I’m a 12 handicap. Trying to figure out how you are a 20 handicap. What is your scoring average?
@@shawncorley3229off the tee gets me in trouble a lot. 21:00 you can see one of them they left in just blocked it left. Very inconsistent with that. In the driver section we talked about my thoughts about if I took a driver out my scores would lower but it’s a tool that I need to be able to utilize. Then I have the penalties some chunks and thins sprinkled in to. High 90’s.
Thank you Nick for allowing us to capture and produce for the channel! The new setup should have your scores dropping 😎
I’m off 10 and you hit it about 25yds further than me with your irons and woods. When you tidy your game up, you’ll be single digits in no time. Impressive speed mate 👍
This was one of the best and most relatable fitting videos I’ve seen.
Thank you for watching!!
I could listen to Larry all day! Great job pal
My man at 6:07 in the background. Literally all of us after the fitter comes back with a new club, but we were striping it while they were away getting it.
Not really striping it. Right before the fitter came back he hit a good one but the swing before that was not good at all. ~90 mph ball speed with a ~90 mph swing with a driver 😅
Most relatable video on UA-cam. Even a 5 hcp can learn from this.
Thank you for watching and for the feedback!!
Super cool video. Very interesting how nick got such different results from similar irons made by different brands. It showcases how important it is to demo various clubs and get fit. I am excited to do a fitting like that someday in the future. Might have to make the exodus to minnetonka.
Thank you for watching!! We'd love to have you in for a fitting at Minnetonka or any of our stores 😎
Great video! had been thinking about getting fit for awhile now and this was the push I needed, just scheduled for Sunday in Wilmington
Literally exactly what I need to watch. I’m about to schedule my fitting after taking some instruction and got fitted for a putter a few months ago at 2nd Swing. Best experience of my life. Cannot wait to get fitted for Irons!
I have been fit by Larry for a driver and putter. His knowledge is second to none, truly one of the best. Good vid!
Sitting in on these fittings is such great knowledge and content.
Thank you for watching!!
That was too 5 BEST vids😂 ever on this channel
Great video! Love watching an "average" golfer going through the process. I stop in the MPLS store quite a bit and now I'm tempted to get fit again for some new irons.
Like the video. Good feed back on difference in fitted and non fitted performance.
Thank you for watching!
Awesome video! Would love to see more just like it!
Of course, we've got more coming!
Awesome video , thanks
Just told my wife that my next fit HAS to be with LB. She is just getting into golf too so we might be seeing the crew soon! Great video as always 🤙🏻
Larry is the best!! Complete knowledge of the game. We'd love to have her in for a fitting!
Always interesting to see the measurements. I'm just starting with golf but my driving range has one indoor and a bunch of outdoor trackman installations. I was measuring my 5i the other day and I'm just a bit below the clubhead speed of his 7i and I have roughly the same ball speed. My carry though is between 125yards and 145yards with my 5i. So his 7i swings already go further than I can hit my 5i. My smash factor is slightly higher, not sure if that is good or not but my spinrate is somewhere between 4k and 8k. Probably 5.5k average. And my height with the 5i is so much higher than this 7i heights. I think I'm averaging between 60 and 80 ft height. **juding from his before fitting stats**
Awesome video. I like seeing a guy like me. Someone striving to be a bogey golfer or better.
Crazy, I game the same exact adams CMB irons with kbs c taper shafts.. I started getting fit a couple years ago before the fitter had to leave with a family emergency but we were settling in at the callaway apex pro 19’s with kbs c taper lites.. still haven’t been back to get fit yet. Definitely could utilize some tech to help with misses as I don’t get to play /practice as much as I’d like but I do love my Adams CMB irons. I’m not sure if there’s a better looking iron out there! Nice video!
He has some serious speed, fair play to him
Crazy to have been around and playing golf for that long to be a 20 handicap still 😅
You can also tell he’s read some things or watched a few videos. As a fitter, nothing you’ve read online will be relevant in your fitting. As long as you have a good fitter that you trust. Wanting distance, dispersion, forgiveness, and height cannot all come in the same package. Notice how his distance really didn’t change
Thanks for the feedback! We actually do like it when golfers come in having read some things online, provided they are accurate! But in many cases it helps golfers have an understanding of what they want out of a fitting.
@@2ndswing agreed. Understand what you want out of the fitting is important. I find all too often that people will read about a new model of iron and the marketing says they achieved more distance, better dispersion, more control, and more forgiveness. A player may come in expecting all those things to happen but it’s very seldom the case. Having an understanding of numbers is important as well, but everyone’s numbers are different. A 65mph iron swing will never launch it at 17° and spin it at 7000rpm. It’s even more apparent in driver fittings where you read all the time about people playing 9° heads and spinning it at 2100 rpm. Max distance is unachievable for 98% of players at those parameters because they’re not swinging 115 with +4-6° angle of attack
Crazy? I am 45, been playing golf for 30+ years and I'm a very similar handicap. I love golf, but time and finances don't allow for much practice. Many, many people are in the same boat.
@@deepee1544 it doesn’t take much practice, or finances, to shoot below 90 on a regular basis. Smart golf and playing the correct tee box is all it takes.
Got some Miuras? 😂 20hc or 2 handicap. We’re all the same lol. Good video.
We need a second swing in Southwest Pennsylvania
best relatable video. do you have miuras? lol😂 he's like nah bro
I'm not sure about switching the 4iron for the 7wood. Surely the 7wood is launching higher and stopping quicker? He might find a 7wood with an adjustable head would be handy to tweak the numbers.
With that speed he has alot of potential to drop his cap quick. Must struggle with penalties off the tee and around the greens
Yeah, I’m not sure his equipment is going to be the reason he’s off 20.
If he put driver in the closet and played with irons and wedges he would be minimum 15 quick unless he absolutely just can’t putt.
That Nike driver in the background lol
Adams club designs were so good TaylorMade decided to steal them.
Dude in the background...was that a Nike Sumo driver??? Sounded like a flint rock off a champagne bottle. Ok, maybe Boone's Farm bottle.
Where did the putter end up? New or lesson?
Putter remained the same. It was green numbers. Evnroll er5v
People forget that 20 handicap is probably not on your local muni. I would consider myself 20+ because I've played big name courses and 20 would be a good day.
He needs to buy wedges and a putter that work if his hcp is that high. And spend some time on the practice putting green.
"I want more distance".
Here's a 5 iron we stamped 7 on....
UA-cam "golf fitting" videos are hilaroius. I worked at one of the major golf fitting shops in the country. I watched literally more than 1,000 people get fitted over the 2 years I worked there. 95% of the people getting fitted swung their drivers 95 mph or less and swing 7 irons 79 mph or less. Yet every golf fitting on UA-cam is with some ridiculous outlier swinging a driver 120 mph or a 7 iron 90+ mph, which represents the less than 1 percentile of those fitted. What a complete farce.
Relax.
You obviously didn't watch this video.
This guy’s a walking Gen Z poster boy🙈
Curious why a 20 handicap is interested in players irons as opposed to GI irons 😮
bc he was roping them
They are more a forgiving iron than a players. The TCB would be the players iron.
Cobra forged tec?
A 20 handicap should not be playing p770s do the guy a favor and give him some Stealth irons and say have a nice day
His strike was high/low not toe/heel so no need for a chunky low loft club especially at that speed. His ball striking is way better than 20 HC - no harm but his short game/putting/driving must be atrocious!
How is this guys a he can move it
How can you hit a 7 iron 170 plus and be a 20 handicapper? You need to get out and practice around the green not buy new clubs!
I'm a 20 handicapper that hits it the same distance, if not farther. It comes down to consistency in swing. My short game actually keeps my score down. There are rounds where I'll make 4 or 5 pars in a row and then go double, triple, quad +. Then I'll remember how to swing and it gets better.
Get me on your channel! We Wana collaborate
Dude cant be 20hcp. More of 10-13
Golf is more than just hitting irons 😆
Two swings in there is no way he is a 20 handicap
Disagree. He's got a nice swing and distance, but he's spraying them all over the place with his 7. I can relate, and my handicap is worse than 20.
@@TylerOrchowski I mean I’m not saying he’s a 5, but unless his short game is horrible I’d think he’d be more like a 12-15
He’s got good speed and distance which can get you in more trouble if your left and right misses are bad that day. I’m a 16 pretty good driver speed 110+. When I’m hitting it well I hear the sandbagging accusations but when I’m not hitting it well it’s going OB in a big way.
