@Ahmad Adnan No he didn’t, it was Alucard that came up with the idea and planned it. Don’t be an ass. Go play Grimoire of Souls it’s explained in-game.
Centuries later, Mathias/Dracula would then carry a genocide against humankind which was something Lisa would never wanted at all. Gets to show Mathias/Dracula always was a self-centered manchild even in the beginning so Leon's got a point there...
@Wilson Nascimento Then again I guess Mathias/Dracula's entire genocidal motivations are deeply rooted in theology or basically the original sin where humans are inherently flawed and evil where he spits the face at the creator because of it by unmaking what he created so the "Shepard shalt weep" or something like that. Or basically his "kill all humans" motivations is part of his never ending vendetta against God. This is also why the whole concept of the "Original Sin" in Christian Theology leads to dangerously misanthropist conclusions.
People keep forgetting that Dracula was the Lord of Wallachia, the countries ruler. Regardless of him being a vampire. In SotN the Dracula bios in the Encyclopedia at Master Librarian say “Father of Alucard” and “Lord of Wallachia”. (He has two separate ones.) Simon Belmont in Grimoire of Souls also mentions that he was the Lord of Wallachia as well when speaking about him with Arikado. So part of the war in the beginning was, before Lisa died I can only assume, based upon the IRL war with the Turks. Only it eventually became what we know from Dracula’s Curse and Curse of Darkness sometime after the event of her death. Which unfortunately nobody really brings up or talks about, either because they know it to be a touchy subject or very few people, besides Alucard and Dracula, knew about her.

Even after Mathias obtained Walter’s soul, he is still too much of a coward and flee from Leon, lol! Shows how powerful Leon is!
More like he doesn’t wish to kill his former best friend, same goes for Leon. They never attempt to fight one another directly, never drawing a weapon on each other, they only talk.
Mathias knows Leon is powerful and uses Death as a distraction to flee and go into hiding.
Definitely one of the best examples of great voice acting in the series
I had no idea you could block Walter's big attack. :O
Fortunately it's not mandatory on a normal playthrough, but here it becomes absolutely necessary to actually reach him.
Bippo Ernesti your timing on all of this was perfect. Was fun to watch. :)
Thanks for the video! That was Nostalgic!
16:30
for "Vampire Killer"
Better than lords of shadow, this was SOTN in 3D whereas LOS was a God of war clone with the castlevania name on it
Konami should develop remastered version of this.
+Ricky Erick If they could have any profit from it they would, but this game didn't sell quite well
but, gamers will know
+Ryuujin1078 and you're just a simpleton with a human shape
Ryuujin1078 I really hate when people say things like that it was in no way shape or form a God of War clone every single game is similar to another In some form or fashion this isn't the mid 1980s where everything was fresh and new Lord of shadow was an awesome game
When he says its over you just run away far as you can it doesn't reach, i reckon the forgotten one is the hardest on crazy mode
Walter: Noooooo, you can't betray me.
Death: Haha you're alone, so get your soul into the stone
2:51 BEHOLD MY STRENGTH.
NOW THIS IS POWER!!!
BAMMMMMMM
Mathias is the worst friend ever. Poor Leon and Sara.
One day mathias we will settle our score no matter how long it takes,One Day i Will my family will break your Curse of Hatred.
I've always wondered why Konami chose a whip as the main weapon for the Belmont clan?
It hurts and tortures even immortal bodies
More original than a sword...
a sword is so cliche
Nelson Belmont It was most appropriate for the style of gameplay they were developing for the original Akumajo Dracula.
Simon initially had a sword / knife but they felt that the player needed much greater reach.
Dammit Death. I thought I heard him say "Tippy Tempest".
One of the top Castlevania games of all time😀
Who's stronger Death or Walter? He said you betrayed me, why didn't he do so before this point? Was he waiting for Walter to be at his weakest point because he wasn't sure he could take him down himself?
Walter was powerful, Death only beated him 'cause He was nearly-dead after his fight against Leon, or probably at least they had the same strenght.
Noe Miranda Walter is waste all of his power and tired fighting Leon
He didn't have the crimson Stone too
Death.
Man, i played the game a long time ago and, as a kid, i didn't realized that in fact, this Castlevania game is the First one of the serie O_OWell played, also.
happy endings only occur in some of the ,later titles tho
0 01 yeah in Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow.
besides Wolfs Foot and Perfecg Guard, did anyone also used the orb (dont remember the color) with the *AXE that allows you to perfom a HIGHLY FORWARD SPEED ATTACK to get to Walter after his spamming explosions* ???
Thanks dude. Death annoyed me so I didnt bother to beat him.
8:30 Dracula still didn’t understand what Leon was saying even after his second wife died and he felt the same emptiness as Leon
4:05 Spoke too soon, Walter
Now Bonehead(Death) here is about to drink your soul out.
- It seems you have enjoyed the gift than i gave you
- Yes, I cured Sarah
Walter: Whaaat???
I'm still waiting for the Castlevania 3D collection
They should remake this game....
You know it took me a while but I noticed the voice actor for Mathias is the same for Alucard from Hellsing
They’re both Dracula so it’s great.
Crispin Freeman voicing vampires again.
If they ever remake this game I want an exp system to cushion how pain in the ass this game is
Know what I wondered how the belmonts gave enough time to escape the crumbling castle and get on top of a mountain to see it fall apart?
I personally have the mental image of Leon swinging around the crumbling castle via his whip.
Damn the voice acting is great
By my master's orders you will be destroyed herrrrrrree and NOW!
The Long War between the Belmont's and Dracula begins with Tales of Innocent
Given how he already hates God, no wonder Dracula went bonkers when his wife was killed by the church.
I don’t remember the church from SotN Lisa scene. Just villagers.
That was in the crappy Netflix adaptation.
I was NEVER able to defeat this final boss....I just gave up trying. Which is weird.....I'm always eventually able to beat the games. Even Vagrant Story I managed to accomplish. But nope, couldn't beat this and have no clue why. Here I am FINALLY after over 10 years watching the ending that I never saw until now....
I don't get how no-one thought of a way to permanently kill Dracula before Julius' time. That's like us taking so long to invent the Internet.
I believe it took Alucard a couple centuries to help plan his final downfall of 1999 and his purification of 2035.
And it didn’t even work properly (Soma)
@Ahmad Adnan No he didn’t, it was Alucard that came up with the idea and planned it. Don’t be an ass.
Go play Grimoire of Souls it’s explained in-game.
If your ever in a bar fight just say behold my strength now this is power.i garuntee they will flee in terror
Dracula's voice reminds me of Issac's form curse of darkness....is it true?
Crispin Freeman voices both Mathias' and Hector's (not Isaac's) voices.
***** Any Belmont.
***** Aaahh indeed! My bad ._.
Liam O'Brien voiced Isaac
Leon's enraged voice sounds the same as Dante's from DMC1 when he was talking to Mundus. Same voice actor?
I don’t think so.
2:55 DEMONIC MEGIDDO!!
Marcohazard : BEHOLD MY STRENGTH!!!!! THIS IS POWER!!!!!
Walter is such a joke! Thank God he wasn´t the real Dracula!
Vanishing Stone : Well, at least he's the first vampire lord.
He was tricked by the one who would become Dracula.
He never was Dracula... Dracula is the name Mathias earned and became known as centuries later.
Enorme... vampire killer... de ending del juego... :0 is so epic
Centuries later, Mathias/Dracula would then carry a genocide against humankind which was something Lisa would never wanted at all.
Gets to show Mathias/Dracula always was a self-centered manchild even in the beginning so Leon's got a point there...
It most be a pain in his thorn to be constantly reminded that your only friend who rejected your power now his kin will always be there to stop you.
@Wilson Nascimento
Then again I guess Mathias/Dracula's entire genocidal motivations are deeply rooted in theology or basically the original sin where humans are inherently flawed and evil where he spits the face at the creator because of it by unmaking what he created so the "Shepard shalt weep" or something like that.
Or basically his "kill all humans" motivations is part of his never ending vendetta against God.
This is also why the whole concept of the "Original Sin" in Christian Theology leads to dangerously misanthropist conclusions.
@@zonilo1 Only if you're already leaning towards misanthropy.
People keep forgetting that Dracula was the Lord of Wallachia, the countries ruler. Regardless of him being a vampire.
In SotN the Dracula bios in the Encyclopedia at Master Librarian say “Father of Alucard” and “Lord of Wallachia”. (He has two separate ones.)
Simon Belmont in Grimoire of Souls also mentions that he was the Lord of Wallachia as well when speaking about him with Arikado.
Leon doing this not only for Sara’s dying wish, also for his old friend’s sake too.
To let Matthias anger, resentment and crazy action to calm, than vanish till to end of this curse😢
Kakashi's voice for Leon = best game ever!
Kakashi was a Belmont?! Nani?!
I love the voice acting. No, honestly. It makes me laugh. A lot.
I played this game when i was a kid
I love this game, but it gave me nightmares
Patrik yeah, I love the dark creepy depressing aura of this Castlevania . I played this when I was 10 and the places the scared me the most were the House of Sacred Remains (the catacombs) and the second/third floor of the Ghostly Theater (especially because of its haunting creepy music).
I just can't take the voice of Walter seriously with that hair
I adore all the voice acting in this game aside from the Succubus...that laugh made me kind of embarrassed. lol
Yeah, her laugh was a bit too maniacal, and filtered. I think chuckling and or giggling would’ve suited her better.
She sounded better in Symphony of the Night.
amazing and soo the belmont clan beggins..
When I fought Death, I never knew that Death threw meteor power the evil megido like and having a male human voice while he says it's over.
Having trouble parsing this comment, but I'm assuming you're saying you never saw Death's explosion attack before. It's exclusive to the Crazy difficulty, he never uses it outside of that mode.
The music on this game man
Seeing me marrying the dusk dining with the creatures of the night, yet she keeps on coming she keeps on trying even though i distance myself a yonder from the light...
Leon is a very pretty man
