Please pray for my little yorkie Kiki. The transition from a vivid yorkie to a paraplegic dog has been a shock both to her and to us. She has been teaching us to be fearless for the last 16 years. So we'll always have her back (pun intended)
It hurts seeing these dogs suffer so much but y’all are making a great difference keep being strong we love y’all keep up the amazing work. Y’all are changing dogs life’s🥰🥰🥰🥰
Such a great video. I can tell just how much you love this dog and working with all dogs who need rehab. I didn't really even know that this kind of rehab was available to dogs. I think it's awesome! I have a beautiful, 14-yr-old Lab and she is beginning to need help walking. I was actually exploring slings to help carry dogs, or to help them walk, when I came upon this video. May God continue to bless you and the wonderful work you do.
Thank you! It was a great time to discover your video. My little doxie just had the surgery and is now recuperating. I needed to find a way to help his heal. Your videos came at just the right time.
I wish my vet gave me this kind of advice, all they told me was to try to stand her up occasionally and to stretch her legs. Thankfully my dog was able to walk anyway just three days after coming home and seems to be getting slightly better every day. She's a chihuahua though so maybe it's just easier for small dogs to recover.
I'm hoping I can get my dog walking again or at least using wheels. He seems to have so much life left in him for being almost 16. He's also 1/2 of a bonded pair and I want him to hold on if he's not in pain.
@@mollylilly1403 I wish your dog a speedy recovery. I understand the pain of losing a pet, as mine became very aggressive in his last days due to pain. He wouldn't even let me touch him. In their final days, dogs often distance themselves from their owners to spare them the grief of their passing. I considered putting him to sleep via injection, but couldn't bring myself to do it. When I returned from college, my sister was holding him, and he looked at me, then closed his eyes for the last time. Since then, I haven't had the heart to get another pet.

I live in a small poor state and I don't even think a vet has an MRI machine And even if they did there is No way we could afford it. I am disabled myself
did this doggy have surgery or just rehab. my 11 yr old pekingese is able to walk but stumbling around... mostly his right paws are affected. vet put him on pain meds and we're trying to keep him from moving around too much . he was almost normal the first week with no pain meds but now he has relapsed ... i think because..... even though i tried to stop him..... he was jumping off furniture and humping on his bed and may've reinjured himself. i've tried to keep him confined but he still gets up and moves some. i put blankets on the hardwood floors to give some traction ... but he slips on the tile floor. I don't know if i should let him walk or keep him still.
My dog is paralyzed and diagnosed as AAI since 2022 he got bitten by big dog. He can walk and run when he’s on his wheelchair and wag his tail but not perfectly. I’m korean and my dog’s vet do not teach me how to rehabilitate because he only wants my dog to do surgery rather than rehabilitation. But i didn’t let him do the surgery because first of all my dog is only 2kg so he can die during the surgery. Second of all the vet has never performed surgery on AAI. I still desperately want my dog to at least walk by himself like before 🥲 Can i know how this terrier recovered in more detail?
Hi need help my 4 yr old golden had a FCE lost rear legs , so I have him walking but he has one leg that's he place and stabbing it on the ground alot how can get it to walk like the other he will put pressure on but not a real long time. What exercises can I do? I give him so much therepy every day , range motion , loop therepy , ice , an messages. I cant believe you got the other dog doing soooo great i love it. Thank you.
Our little Yorkshire fell from the stairs. She's old and can't see properly. She fell and can't move her back legs. Is it possible for her to live?? My mom's thinking about sacrificing so she doesn't suffer
If only I could afford an MRI and therapy for my precious miniature poodle. She went from walking 6 months ago just fine to bed ridden just like this I have no idea why and the vet said they don’t either but an MRI is 4k just insane idk what to do it’s only money yes but to pay that if they can remedy anything is just super difficult. I wish someone had answers of what happened to her because her sister is 100% normal.
My vet told me that there's nothing he could do for my dog was paralize and the only advise he gave was ro put him to sleep this really broken my heart after watching this video am sorry idid because this video shows me that my dog could have recovered
Bless your heart I am so sorry for your loss, and that they did not help you no more than that, I know they can’t all recover, but a big majority of them can
My Pomeranian is 11 and his back legs are weak, I give him shots from the vet every weak nut now his front legs are so stiff he can't stand unless I lean him against something, I can't afford more treatment but it kills me seeing him like this.
My dog had surgery a bit over a week ago go. She is unable to bare weight but was rolling over today. Is that normal and should I allow her to do it? She was on a soft cushion.
What would be the treatment for paralysis caused by a concussive injury and what would be the prognosis. My 19-year-old dog fell forward onto his face two months ago, blacked out and four days later could not use his hind legs. He holds them rigidly straight and thus, his front legs can't reach the floor. He also holds his head down. Please help!😢
He should ideally be evaluated in person by a neurologist to determine IF the problem is neurological, WHERE the problem is, and what are the possible causes. Only then can an accurate and appropriate treatment plan be formulated. Where are you located?
Stray dog get paralyze From 1 month almost done she can't move legs and she has bedsore on should . she is sended for rehabilitation 15days almost done and now she has start other side pressure sore. what is her treatment how to cure his pressure sore. veterinary denied she can't walk.
How long should we give for recovery? My dog is going through the same thing, the paws turned in and struggling to walk without me helping him. He’s on oral meds a week now. The vet said if no improvement within 48hrs then there prob won’t be. But the last few days he’s been trying to walk and is peeing outside. I feel terrible because besides not walking without help he’s moving around in his bed and watching everything. He’s been eating/drinking.
I found a streetdog with the same problem, but in our country we don't have that sort of rehab centre. Can you help it recover. Or it will die, I can't take care of it alone snd also i don't know how to take care of it. I am from Digboi , Assam, India. The dog can live if you help.
pls can you give some advice my mini dachshund can't stand or walk more than 2 months now.. xrays are normal... how do i start his rehab properly? i help him stand, i use tens and ems unit to help regenerate his nerves.. now his tail is starting to wag.. when i help him stand his hind leg seems to try to stand.. no problem with front legs... i will be very thankful if you can help me he is only 6 yrs old.
seems like he is gradually improving - I think you are doing the right thing. You could try also giving them lionsmane mushroom powder in their food to help with cognition/nervous system support. just keep doing what you are doing and give it time :)
mam my dog met an accident..n she cannt feel her tail n both back legs..plz suggest me so that she het recovered..in my town there is no MRI or ulteasound facility for dogs
My 15 yr old lab got attacked over the weekend by a pit bull.i broke it up quick but she has two small puncture wounds on her side. All I couldnt afford a x-ray because I had to go to a urgent care which still cost me 250 dollars My dogs acting just like this one.she can barely stand but it's weird pecause she's showing no pain. I have to drag her out the house on a blanket and hold her to use the bathroom. Do you recommend anything that can help
If tests (MRI) isn't possible, I'd at least give him time and nursing care. Many dogs can get better with time and rest. Your vet might also prescribe some medications. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

The machines cost a lot of money
Which is ridiculous I know. We recently had an MRI for my dog suffering from ivdd and it was 4k.
