it all has its place. sometimes we tend to get bored doing something one way. you could switch and try your hands this way. we must keep things interesting in the gym.

That way you can lift heavier without straining much of your lower back and have a better muscle contraction. The major problem with this variation is Charles letting the guy bend way too much. It will cause strain on the lower back and hampers to maximize the load.
I prefer to do these with my chest supported on a bench.
